Vernon received death threats for his answer, armys spoke ill about his sister, they were hating on him saying he disrespected bts when he clearly didn't. The interviewer is to be blamed here and armys were mad at Vernon for not glorifying any group and answering the question in the best possible way. My regards for TXT. Most joined the company in 2014/2015/2016 so BTS wasn’t that famous. And one of the reasons TXT didn’t debut until 2019 was bc BTS didn’t make enough money to debut them until then😅

I think you are right. When I started to Stan Bts ( in end of 2019) I didn't know that they were popular.... I love for their hard work, they make me happy.... I got into BTS in 2016 (accidentally) and kpop wasn’t even known in my country back then .. it’s only in 2020 when India was gripped by the kpop wave..It has been immensely satisfying as an army to witness their journey. And the fact that the boys have changed and grown so much from 2016-2020 still amazes me.. I am sure for you to witness their growth since 2013 is a whole another experience altogether.. Seventeen debuted in 2015. BTS mainly started gaining popularity around 2016 after I need u which later skyrocket around 2018-2019 internationally cuz of boy with luv. Although bts was famous for a rookie group in SK. Most of the rookie grp at that time look up to SHINee, SNSD, Bigbang , 2pm, woundergirl and such. So there was no point of asking question like this or if anything the question would be more appropriate for 4th group seeing as *they* actually look up to bts. but mentioning other artist in another artists interview is disrespectful

I remember very clearly, I watched BTS for the first time during their rookie day. It was on SBS Gayo Daejun 2013. Yes they were so famous for a rookie but it was in South Korea and maybe Asia. Their popularity had not been like they are now. I like their music, the powerful dance, the swag. Back at those times Bigbang was still on top. Bigbang was my fav one since 2012. You know what Seventeen even had not debuted yet. They debuted in 2015 from not a big company. They didn't wore any outfit with "lux brands" (sorry I didn't mean to hurt my boys 😭) Even I was not into them (that was my bad) I started into them during the left and right era in 2020. I watched everything about them. Their journey is amazing 👍🏼 They are so precious. So don't comparing one to another "different" group. BTS is a whole thing 👌🏼 Seventeen for me is a blessing! Both of his questions reveal the fact that he seems to think that seventeen is a newer group and it just makes me wish that they would do just a little bit of research about who they are going to be talking to because he obviously doesn’t know anything about Seventeen or BTS for that matter. I also really wish that people would stop using BTS as a reference point when it comes to anything to do with K-pop. My regards for TXT. Most joined the company in 2014/2015/2016 so BTS wasn’t that famous. And one of the reasons TXT didn’t debut until 2019 was bc BTS didn’t make enough money to debut them until then😅

I got into BTS in 2016 (accidentally) and kpop wasn’t even known in my country back then .. it’s only in 2020 when India was gripped by the kpop wave..It has been immensely satisfying as an army to witness their journey. And the fact that the boys have changed and grown so much from 2016-2020 still amazes me.. I am sure for you to witness their growth since 2013 is a whole another experience altogether.. Although bts was famous for a rookie group in SK. Most of the rookie grp at that time look up to SHINee, SNSD, Bigbang , 2pm, woundergirl and such. So there was no point of asking question like this or if anything the question would be more appropriate for 4th group seeing as *they* actually look up to bts. but mentioning other artist in another artists interview is disrespectful

I remember very clearly, I watched BTS for the first time during their rookie day. It was on SBS Gayo Daejun 2013. Yes they were so famous for a rookie but it was in South Korea and maybe Asia. Their popularity had not been like they are now. I like their music, the powerful dance, the swag. Back at those times Bigbang was still on top. Bigbang was my fav one since 2012. You know what Seventeen even had not debuted yet. They debuted in 2015 from not a big company. They didn't wore any outfit with "lux brands" (sorry I didn't mean to hurt my boys 😭) Even I was not into them (that was my bad) I started into them during the left and right era in 2020. I watched everything about them. Their journey is amazing 👍🏼 They are so precious. So don't comparing one to another "different" group. BTS is a whole thing 👌🏼 Seventeen for me is a blessing! very happy how Vernon replied. BTS was not the same when they started and they have worked their ass off to achieve their success right now.. Same goes for Seventeen .. They have worked their asses off to achieve the numbers that they are doing now.. Why isnt the interviewer talking about their hard work.. Why everything has to be compared with another group ?? Seventeen is seventeen okay? They have nothing to do with bts. Seventeen are amazing on their own. They worked so hard and paved they own way to the top. bts is not a standard, it’s just another group.
And what level is bts? Having more English speaking fans? If you look at the music and performances of the groups, seventeen is nothing less than bts. In my opinion, seventeen could be better because all their songs are created by their own members. Woozi is credited as the first producer for all of their songs. They even made many of their choreography. I’m so mad that people are not recognizing the talents and hard work of seventeen. As being army Carat I feel so bad after watching this videos, but remember carats some army's those who are really good they always respect every artist no matter, as I am a army i truly agree each and every artist and groups has reached that place for there hardwork, and every artist and groups respect everyone, like u see the friendship between the svt member and bts members, I am a ArmyCarat and love both the groups equally so I hope people will not make comparison between both the groups 😢😢
Both of his questions reveal the fact that he seems to think that seventeen is a newer group and it just makes me wish that they would do just a little bit of research about who they are going to be talking to because he obviously doesn’t know anything about Seventeen or BTS for that matter. I also really wish that people would stop using BTS as a reference point when it comes to anything to do with K-pop. As someone who is an Army and a Carat and many others because I am a multi Stan it really irks me when people bring BTS into an interview that has nothing to do with them because all it really says is “I don’t know anything about K-pop and I didn’t do any research about the group I’m currently interviewing so I’m just gonna bring up BTS”. Like I understand and am proud of BTS‘s achievements in bringing K-pop to the place that it is globally, but It’s super disrespectful to the group being interviewed to be asked awkward questions that compare them to BTS.

I’m a very new fan of svt (knew of them and their songs but wasn’t super invested) but I still know FOR A FACT that these boys struggled for YEARS AND YEARS just to get to where they are
He makes it sound as if all their hard work to get to this point just never existed
Some groups get popular off the bat thanks to good music but also their COMPANY
SVT didn’t have the luxury of getting known thanks to their company and had to work extra hard compared to some groups
Not doing your research before interviewing them, then acting like they are one of those groups who got rich quick is so offensive and disrespectful in so so many ways.
P.S. I’m not saying it’s easy for groups that do have a popular company, but a company’s name does play a huge role in popularity, whether we like to admit it or not
BTS didn’t have that luxary either when they started but thanks to them other groups under BigHit did, this doesn’t mean the groups after BTS under BigHit are only popular because of the name, it just means that they don’t have to start out going onto streets and begging people to watch free concerts to get their name out there
And SVT just have 20 people watch free concert, and don't have many promotion and must making music by themselve. Every idol is so hard work
