- The Army has renamed the OMFV program, to the XM30 Mechanized Infantry Fighting Vehicle. Replacing the Bradley Fighting Vehicles, the Mechanized Infantry Combat Vehicle, will introduce fresh and innovative features that will revolutionize how we engage in combat in the future. Its design, which is based on a modular open system architecture, will enable the vehicle to accommodate emerging technologies as they advance, ensuring that our military maintains superiority over any potential threats.

I've seen a tow missile go right into a T90 and reduce it to much smaller pieces. There are different warheads on the Tow system so i assume it was using its anti-armor round. Geez it made a mess.
Ukrainian soldiers say that they'd rather have Bradleys over MBTs. This war is one of more infantry tactics than big tank battles. Therefore having a vehicle that can s a fely transport a squad of infantry or more into combat while providing covering fire, and crew protection in case of disabling hits isvmost important to Ukraine.
The Israel main battle tank has the engine in the front and can transport people as well.
But the like the CV90 the most 👍🏻
Then the M10-Booker might be a nice compromise, or the Stryker A1 might be even better
What a load of garbage. Let me guess you are a political scientist?
@@ProjectPaoloyou're no scientist
AKA: FAIL4 IFV Program. Time to send Ukraine another 300 of our forty year old (but still excellent) M2 Bradley ODS since we have 2800 in storage, and another 700 brand new M2A4 Bradleys just ordered. Our list of Fails continues: 142 Stryker MGS (already retired by the Army).
Bradley is good but it’s had its day. Everything about it is outdated. Weapons, armour, systems…..
@@Bob10009Bradley would have been phased out for something better years ago if it was built for what it was intended for originally
Should have built the Bradley as the scout vehicle it was meant to be, that way they could have either built a variant that was an IFV or created a new IFV.
CV9040....
Your bradleys are lying destroyed in ukraine weve seen pictures of it .
Looks like the Army chose this along with the Rheinmetall vehicle as the finalists. They get to split 1.6 billion dollars and fine tune their IFVs.
Impressive most impressive Darth Vader line Kevin❤
SUPER... ❤
Can we get some information on Rip saw m5
Heard anyone can just buy vehicles, if truly no bullets yet to be worried, this looks like a nice save and run vehicle if running away someone. The one that people can enter.
the ports have been gone for decades now . haven't done homework have they
still have them on the ramp
Will it have a stabilised gun to fire on the move?
this is the future so yes it will, LOL
All this kind of vehicles and tanks have thar kind of technology
That's pretty old tech... so probably. They got bullets with fins that can change course mid flight now so idk
Yes.
This is just a CV-90 with a 50mm cannon. So why RnD a new platform instead of just building CV-90's ?
cause its not a CV-90. this has an unmanned turret.
You can put an unmanned turrent on any platform. So again, why bother recreating a brand new platform ?@@MrChickennugget360
@@richt.2966 No you can’t.
You can place an unmanned turrent on any platform.
Is CV90 OMFV? This is AI.
looks like a PUMA IFV :)
kf41 lynx
CV90 would have been a better choice 👍🏻
There will be a lot more "optionally manned" military vehicles in the future, mostly land vehicles.
OM = Crammed like a sardine can.
And aerial.
Looks like they can't decide on a design for it. But it looks very futuristic....
Would even be more lethal if were two barrels
Ive said this before. Dual chainguns. 25mm and up.
Just more weight, more maintenance, and the barrels are a vulnerability in the armor that has to be compensated for.
It's worrying how flat it is on top, if they angled it a little bit like they do on the bottom of vehicles that are designed to survive IEDs it might withstand top-down attack Javelin type weapons better
Active protection system
I don't think you understand what a tandem warhead is. It will go through anything, no matter the angle. That is why it has an active protection system.
Mate no vehicle can withstand a top down attack from a javelin nlaw etc…
@@fatmanwalking8610 The newer Leopard2a7 and 2a8 can, they come with top attack protection and active protection system
How would that stop a shaped charge?
The Bradley’s had their M-16 firing ports covered up decades ago. It was a really bad idea. And it’s a 25 millimeter, not millimeters.
Our A3 conversions still have firing ports in the ramp
50.8 mm = 2 inches. The main gun is about .501 inch bigger than the 37mm on the M3 & M5A1 Stuarts. Maybe they can be dusted off and beefed up. A retro fit for the new gun. The M151C MUTT gun jeep is smaller, harder to hit and is easier to hide. A 106mm M40A1 Anti Tank Gun(ATG) is carried.
Profits profits.
Will appreciate if some tech detail can be given on the AMX-30 IFV. Want it for comparison to the BOXER German IFV.
The Boxer isnt an IFV …you habe to compare it to the Puma and Theay Are nearly the Same! Based on the kf41 Lynx…Puma is a Special Version for the Bundeswehr
Boxer is an IFV.
I don't know what this other guy is smoking.
@@shanerooney7288 Yes and no, the differences to the “Puma” or the “AMX-30” are in any case significant. First of all, it is much lighter, less heavily armored and has wheels instead of tracks. Then it is primarily a platform that can be used for all kinds of tasks. Most often it is used as an Armored personnel carrier. But also, for example, as an armored medical vehicle, as self-propelled artillery , as a command vehicle or (and here you are right) as an IFV. But a comparison between a “Boxer” and an “AMX-30” makes no sense. They were designed for different tasks.
Drone proof?
The US has overwhelming electronic warfare countermeasures. Anything that needs a radio signal to operate would fall from the sky.
Most U.S. combat vehicles carry anti-drone countermeasure.
@@dustyroads834they can hack and control drones as well
The new IFV's need to be supplied with the XM 913 auto cannons.
I think that's the plan. To be able to fit their turrets with that 50mm cannon.
Good cars can be passed down for three generations
yes my boss
What's with the Shroud over the Cannon, are they planning to mount Large Picatinny Rails on it?
its to mask heat
@@killcapturedestroy7849 Same reason it's running a hybrid engine. is best protection will be a reduced heat signature making it harder to acquire targeting solutions on it.
Definitely the Picatinny rail 😂😂
To keep dimbulbs from touching a hot barrel is one reason.
which Army?
Any adopted should be amphibious and twin barreled

***SOB "SON OF BRADLEY"***
Such a vehicle should have radar and an anti-aircraft gun.
Like the .50 caliber "Ma Deuce"?
Clickbait title bot channel.
Wiered video... as if those who made the video had no information of the Rheinmetal tank and therefor switch to the Bradley for half of the video.
Better just look for a german and subtitle it. By the way... it is not Rheinmetal america... it was developed 100% in germany and would be produced localy in the US by licence if bought.
As the Boxer it is highly modular... even until to a MBT kit. It has a double feed system to switch munition, it is drone using capable, mine resistend, crew of 3 plus 9 troops, has active protection, is digital and all screens can be personalised, has a retractable missle pod inside the turrent, vital components are all inside in seperated protected areas... list goes on and on.
This video does not make that tank justice.
Most of the video spent talking about the M2... Very poignant indeed! 😂
Is that the new tesla? 🤣
The bradleys are more designed to be in fast attack blitzkrieg style of assault in support of the MBTs n not what it was being used in Ukraine nowas a solo or dual assault transport. Ukraine should leap frog this small defense trenches made by the Russians n instead attack in masse towards major Russian bases n strongholds so that this little trenches will be surrounded n cut off from their supply lines
Can it cross rivers asthe Bradley cannot
Neither can most BMPs.

Remedial ....
Just ask the Russians how good the Bradley is. They're busy losing MBTs to the Bradley in Ukraine right now.
General dynamics is better
Most of this video is about Bradley... old news!!

Something tells me that GDLS would win this competition. Considering that I predicted the XM7 and XM250 winner would be SIG SAUER after they won the XM17 Handgun competition, and the fact that GDLS already won the competition regarding the XM10 Light Tank, makes me think that this pattern will follow through. But who knows? I am no psychic.
Yea and for logistics if they share chassis that would be smarter
Built 2029. U will lose many wars and still use the Bradleys!!!!
Oh and we have to wait 4 to 6 years to field the new system. The congressional military industrial complex is criminal

A good time to test ❤😂🎉😅😊
That would be a little too on the nose. Makes more sense to offload our old equipment and not have to maintain (pay to maintain) them while we are building new stuff.
@@ZackSavage another option yes

Until your opponent is Germany.
Ummm they aren’t even close to Panzer Divisions 🇩🇪 used to have. The Wehrmacht “ACTUALLY” had combat skills from combat. No German has seen combat since they surrendered in 1945. Your comment fucking ridiculous.. and I am a German!
