Can we take a minute to talk about how rawly beautiful the leader is. I mean they’re all having their own beauty but the old man in the middle has something more. He has a beauty between strength and gentleness, peace and harshness. he is majestic. there is a great serenity that emanates from him. May Allah shower his blessings on him and all of them.
I love the family connection of the members and even the instruments. Thank you all who made this possible. It is soo good to see people loving their cultural music 🎶 and sharing it.
This was so magical n deeply spiritual. They remind me of the Muslim men I see in my neighborhood on 116 St n Lenox Ave up in Harlem. TD u guys have a very eclectic palette. I appreciate all the different cultures u feature on this channel....Thx u!

Actually, it's the effect pedals that sounds like instruments made with different materials. I'm guessing that in theory we should be able to reproduce the sounds made by the effects by experimenting with different sound boxes and materials
@@VashdaCrash sure, effects pedals, hardware/software comps/plug-ins, master EQs, etc. all modify the sound in a known and desired tone. What’s your point about any of that production stuff in relation to this video though?
Ну... Это имеет смысл, если смотреть это как на что-то самобытное... С точки зрения истории, культурологии и всякого такого... С музыкальной точки зрения - это оч слабый уровень...
Wow not my cup of tea and I am open to all cultures. Every song sounded the same as I just randomly fast forwarded through it. I hope all of you who praised this aren't just trying to look well read. You can appreciate a culture but not care for the music, food etc. I respect them but it is not a good sound.
So you do realize people have different tastes and opinions, you mention that. But then you turn around and question people here who appreciate/are familiar with this music and culture? Make it make sense
‘I randomly fast forwarded through it’. That says it all - you’re an impatient human being who can’t take the time to try and respect and understand other cultural sounds. Your opinion would mean more if you didn’t skip through it.
This channel seems to be the best place to discover musical cultures form around the world. Thank you for that !
Truth..,
A music jam from Mali. Nice to see unique instruments and Traditional garb.
i thought they were from Sudan based on the group name too but they're actually from Mali (it's in the description!)

He looks like Nat King Cole...Gorgeous
As it is with many music groups, a good frontman is key!

Love those riffs that he's playing at 8:35 in the video.
For a minute I thought I had X2 playback on. How quickly was he finessing them strings 🤔😂
Sounds like a rock guitar solo.
Awsome. This traditional music is the root and essence of modern music today.
I feel like we're hearing the ancient seeds that sprouted into blues and rock & roll
I got very emotional listening to this. They have a really big presence. Thank you. Greetings from Chile.
Thank you for sharing your musical art. Greetings from Argentina. Love and peace.

Ballaké Sissoko did one a few years ago. It's gorgeous. They also had Cheick Hamala Diabate on.

Maravillosa música
That instrument sounds like it had an effect pedal on it!
It did. They’re called human fingers.

Seen them live 10 year's ago. Good gig.
My guy just showed more licks and sweeps in that ten seconds than any of us have heard ever from a six string. If you heard, you heard.
