I know it is hard to compare different eras - but I have been around long enough to say Yuzuru Hanyu is the best *_all round_* male figure skater we have seen.
I'm not crying...you're crying. I can't say this was unexpected considering the recent injuries and what happened at the Olympics and with the 4A. Yuzuru is an athlete but also an artist, and very few skaters will ever come close to what Yuzuru did in the past 10 years. He's a combination of willpower, prowess, elegance, frailty, wit, humility, and sportsmanship that will hardly be surpassed.
10 years isn't enough. I understand but it still hurts my heart. The shows are ok but the rink is so small and yes he will have some solos but it is so busy with so many skaters. I just feel sad.
All you need to know is this is so beautifully done and Yuzu's skating so heartfelt that I saved this in my special playlist called 'Yuzuru Faves'. ❤Fly, Yuzu!❤
I watched his press con. He emphasized that he is not "retiring", he is just withdrawing himself from competitions. He is still going to pursue his 4A dream & overcome his limits to become even better.--It's just that it won't happen in the competitions. Because he feels so positive about his next chapter, he worried that his fans would read this "retirement" thing wrong (aka sad) so he was too nervous to lose sleep the previous night of press con. Skating just isn't going to be the same without the force that was yuzuru hanyu. He was not only a fierce competitor but told a story through his routines. He's absolutely going to be missed.

I am sad because I will never see him in competition but I'm also very happy that he can finally take care of himself . His all those pressures , stress , injuries after injuries just for those competition and then gets brutally judged , getting underscores . They don't deserve him . Now he can skate however he wants without getting judged 😌

He was the main reason I have started to like figure skating...he is one of a kind and for me the best ice skater ever...like his elegance, emotions make his performances so special to me...and nowdays the skaters only do jumps and call it a day but he had both and that is something that will be missed in these competitions....I am very sad about the news of his retirement, but I hope he will keep skating and do whatever he wants to do...and hopefully someday I will have the chance to meet him and see him skate Beautiful edit♥️

A comet appears only after decades and even millenias. Have watched figure skating since 1978 when I was small. Do you know how it feels when, after waiting for decades, the comet finally appeared? And yes it passed so fast I could only caught the dust of its tail yet I feel so grateful for being able to see his appearance. Now he's gone to another galaxy. Must wait for another generation until it appears again and maybe I won't be in this planet anymore.

He was the main reason I have started to like figure skating...he is one of a kind and for me the best ice skater ever...like his elegance, emotions make his performances so special to me...and nowdays the skaters only do jumps and call it a day but he had both and that is something that will be missed in these competitions....I am very sad about the news of his retirement, but I hope he will keep skating and do whatever he wants to do...and hopefully someday I will have the chance to meet him and see him skate

Это мы влюблялись в его маленькие спектакли, ждали, кидали Винни Пухов, а у нас отобрали всё это. Может перестанем плакать? Пусть Юдзуру Ханю начнет жить своей, личной жизнью. И надеюсь, мы ещё не раз увидим его на льду, красивого, свободного, по-прежнему влюбленного в фигурное катание. И кто знает, может скоро мы увидим продолжение Юдзуру - маленького (или маленькую) Ханю, которых тренирует легендарный папа)...

A comet appears only after decades and even millenias. Have watched figure skating since 1978 when I was small. Do you know how it feels when, after waiting for decades, the comet finally appeared? And yes it passed so fast I could only caught the dust of its tail yet I feel so grateful for being able to see his appearance. Now he's gone to another galaxy. Must wait for another generation until it appears again and maybe I won't be in this planet anymore.
