The old buildings in Vigan were very common in old Manila once upon a time especially inside Intramuros and the surrounding areas until it was completely destroyed in WW2 during the Liberation of Manila in Feb-Mar of 1943. One surviror that lived in those districts said that the Spanish language seemed to have just vanished over night.
If you guys get tired of hot weather go either Tagaytay or Baguio very mild weather at the mountains. But there is more things to do in Baguio such as hiking to the blue soil hills, strawberry picking and sight seeing through bambo forests and rice terraces.
Nice one. Most of Manila actually used to be like this, but if you look at pictures from world war two you can see how the city was levelled by both the Japanese and Americans. After Warsaw it was the most destroyed city in ww2. It used to be called the Paris of the East, but there weren't many funds to rebuild the city after the war. The Japanese also deliberately firebombed lots of euro architecture to erase European influence. Bit of history.
Its sad that the colonial city of Manila the forever ally and “brother of the Americans” was never rebuilt ‘cause the US preferred to help their enemy, Japan but the Philippines got her Independence after the tragedies of world war 2
Is Las Casas Filipinas open for vloggers to see. I think that is the most beautiful place in the Philippines. It's Vigan x 10. Hope Adam and Yaz can go see it. I don't know of any foreign vlogger who has been there. It's so beautiful that the video is two hours long ua-cam.com/video/p5HtN56xhUs/v-deo.html&ab_channel=TourFromHomeTV
Beautiful paradise Philippines don’t need European influence. It has strong biblical history in which they tried wiping out native beliefs and worship so that eventually follow their religious cults and worship their gods. Ancient natives of the Philippines has such a bond with YHUH our Creator, one true God. But much became misguided and throughout the centuries have passed down European (Roman) culty religions generation to generation. Wake up Philippines. Your great ancestors are Ibriy(Hebrew). YHUH’s people. Know where you truly stand in the eyes of YHUH. Blessings.
My father actually remembered how it looked prior to WW2, and it certainly was beautiful. Rogue Japanese soldiers decided to burn the city, after being told by their Japanese general to just evacuate. The Spanish architecture would have been a nice landmarks across Manila.
We were in Vigan city in 2012 on my vacation . I curremty live in USA. Those Spanish houses are well preserve. They were abandoned when the Spaniard were driven by the Americans in early 1900. I slept in one of those houses as it was converted into hotel in the 60's.
Thanks, Adam & Yaz, for this video, because awesome people like yourselves that I'm learning more and more about my birth country❗We will check this city out on our next trip there, and hopefully soon! Watching from California, USA❣️🇵🇭🇺🇸
Vigan city beautiful place guys. Actually my Mom is from Vigan. But now we live in England. I hope you guys enjoys the hospitality of Vigan community. Have fun and enjoy the cervesa ( beer)tasting.
Im filipino and never knew that Vigan is under UNESCO a world's heritage city. Vigan had preserved that spanish houses, amazing. Thanks for showing Vigan city in the world. Mabuhay!

Seldom foreign vloggers come to Vigan / and still remember your adventure in Mount Mayon / like you going off the path / and since you're already in the North , might want to try 4x4 ride sand dune in Laoag
Yeah we do siesta and then have our merienda from a nearby carinderia or panciteria. Bienvenido a Filipinas. Usted es una pareja hermosa. Disfrutar de la hermosa ciudad de Vigan, mis amigos.

All in Northern part of the Philippines
Hello gorgeous couples 💑. You're tremendously amazing indeed thank you forevermore for loving the Philippines culture and food thank you and thank you 😊. I you haven't visit to tagaytay city, baguio city, bohol and the chocolate Hills maybe you can try.
This "Vegan Couple" were in "Vigan City"!! :) Btw, you guys should've tried Cafe Leona there in Vigan instead of Greenwich for dinner as they serve delicious vegan foods as well. Also nice to see you enjoying every corner of the Philippines!! Take care & enjoy your trips as always! :)
Talking about "siestas," the old spanish custom of siestas were very common where the stores closes in the afternoon and then open later in the afternoon. I still remember this as a kid in the 70s in Iloilo City. I no longer see this now, and stores seem to be open much of the day without the siesta in between.
You can also visit the hidden garden, safari hotel, baluarte. Then after vigan you can go to the northen part which is Ilocos Norte - you can visit the sand dunes, pagudpud, wind mills, white rock formations and the lighthouse.
Philippines is my adopted country. I live on the west coast of Luzon. I feel it is important to explore and learn about my adopted country. So I took my family to Vigan, 3 years ago. It was a bad trip. Too much construction. Could not find any parking for my car. The answer there is......don't take your big car. We will try it again. Been to Baguio. First time was 1973. It was a nice quiet mountain town then. Now, with so much construction and growth, it is just another big city, although much cooler than down in the flat land. Still lots of places to explore, and that is just on Luzon.
Guys you miss the zoo called "Baluarte" a few steps from the Vigan historic walk. You can feed camel, giraffe, Llama, native deers. There are also lions, tigers, croc, snakes, boas and a lot more. Stay safe always.
I've always wanted to visit Vigan but never had the chance as of yet. One of these days I will! Thanks for sharing your Vigan trip. Enjoy and keep safe!
Wow, Im so jealous with you guys. I'm a Filipino by birth and living abroad for so long and never been to Vigan. I wish to visit that place when I go home soon....
I suggest you visit in either Jan. 22 during the Vigan Longganiza Festival or May 1 during the Binatbatan Festival and see the streetdancing parade where participants wear colourful costumes. It puts Vigan in a festive mood even until the wee hours of the morning.
Wow. Happy to see both of you made it to Albay- Manila & now Vigan after the most unforgettable experience (maybe) in Polambato Port in Cebu going to Masbate. Welcome to the Philippines Adam & Yaz. Not sure if you still remember but I’m the one who approached you guys before our roro ride.
Yesss of course we remember! We weren’t feeling great and you honestly made us smile for the first time in a little while ❤️ thank you for coming to say hello 🥰 it’s been amazing exploring the north! We hope you got to your destination nice and easy 😁
gracias adam y yaz fue el visitar mi bonita ciudad....mi supotar tu channel todos.... en mi corazon ahora momento nada explicar como es de grande hablar positivo en mi cuidad.. como es filiz yo de be...
If you're still there in ilocos try to visit also the paoay church, pagudpud beach.. if you're looking for good weather not that hot Baguio city is the place and try the goodshepherds ube jam and peanut brittle and also the strawberry taho. There's a camp there which is built by the American it's called camp John hay, it's nice there.
Have you tried TAHO? A snack Made from soya bean. Silky and smooth, now comes in caramel (traditional flavor), ube/yam; strawberry. Usually taken hot in the morning or cold (when it's hot).
I’m back here today partly relieved that Adam & Yaz were out of harm’s way with that earthquake, but sad at the same time given the damage brought to the colonial houses and heritage sites by the tremor.
We were there last week and raining at night so the streets at night is empty. I wish it was not raining coz.its more fun at night and cooler. I agree it was so hot during the day, but windy. I love the wind on my face and blowing my hair. Here in Baguio city, I did not experience that. Its refreshing though. We went to our hotel and rest a bit and went out at 4 pm. The buildings are really impressive even though I went there many times. They preserved the old Spanish style house and buildings. The most beautiful BPI building I have ever seen is in there haha it was so elegant in Spanish style building. Lol The empanada is really delicious and so cheap. It was worth it to visit Vigan. Thank you for featuring Vigan. Go to bell tower it was built in 1571. :)
I live in canada now but I used to live in Vigan City also but what I have found is quite interesting. The sun is hotter here than when I was in Vigan. It burns my skin unlike in Vigan
Filipinos usually don't go outside in the afternoon because it will toast us in the sun's heat, but when the sunset is coming like 5pm the crowd will gather to have fun, buy some food in the marketplace for dinner and it is a rush hour.
Try a little bit up further north to HANNAH's beach resort pagudpod if you wanna see white beach in the north. Also try the bangui windmills ilocos norte
I love ❤️ your content, you guys are an awesome couple. Plan to go to Batanes? You'll love it. Keep up the good work. Max's restaurants are the best too for Vegetarian.
Go to places that are not popular to foreign tourists but are equally stunning like Palaui Island in Sta. Ana, Cagayan, and to the Paoay Sand Dunes in Paoay and in Laoag Ilocos Norte, and some beautiful beaches in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte.
I really like this video cause you vlog one my best historical city in the philippines the vigan city for me vigan is world class city because of its old charm like very old spanish houses, churches, museum old centuries spanish structures that you cant find anywhere it was so much here in vigan but you can also find it in old taal town in batangas province southern part of luzon just like vigan taal also have hundred of old spanish era structure dating from 17th centuries that still stand up to now enjoy north especially vigan and you can also hop in further north like paoay sand dunes and pagudpud or trek in a cold mountain province city of baguio or trip to sagada or the famous banaue rice terraces you can do so much in the north enjoy n keep safe n god bless you both!❤
I suggest that you go and visit Vitalis villas. It's near Vigan too. This will bring you to Santorini, Greece 😊
