  • 74 Miles Mobile To Mobile .. FineTuned Stryker SR955HPC - Antone AT6666 VideoGate: • Barefoot Mobile Mud Du... PAY ATTENTION! Yes, coax length matters, length varies with frequency due to capacitance and inductance. If they've ever recommended 3' increments or claim that length don't matter, AVOID! Those that know it show it, those that don't won't. Cleaner and meaner, not noise or toys. Subscribe, click notifications bell and Stay Tuned In. Read on ..
Scope watts or nope watts, take your pick. Tired of misleading BS yet? If they don't show you or do so in a deceiving way, you've been mislead. Learn to identify "Golden Screwdriver / Software Jockeys and Scammers". *Note: There'll always be drama regarding my disgruntled competitors and their followers, they're just doing their best. When "Ready", pm me on Facebook including phone number. Contact information below, don't be in a hurry!
"Radios not only transform signals into waves, they transform waves into sound"
Ringy, tinny, muffled, meter swinging low range hacked up over-modulated splatter box radios with a noisy receiver and miscalibrated "S" Meter (for starters) have been peaked & tuned, comp-tuned or "so-called" Hi-Fi" mods performed and misaligned by a Golden Screwdriver magician. Yes, magician not technician.
Internet truck stop competition tune and alignments are useless in the Real World. Not only do they produce a noisy receiver, they'll bleed your wallet and all over neighbors too! Years ago, while still accepting walk-ins, this was about 90% of all radio related issues and complaints from customers nationwide .. Still Is!
    ***How to recognize***
They'll ask you to "look at the meter" or other salvation army Romper Room (that's another subject) test equipment stacked up the wall and claim that a pure waveform on a NIST "O"scope is not necessary. RUN!!
They'll poise their meter farm at you while making strange vocal sounds, whistling or injecting an unknown tone into the mic socket while trying to convince you that distortion is considered rms, average or Bird watts and usable power. NOT! Get That Part??
Most don't have a clue what each unit of measurement represents, how to derive it or have an accurate way of testing but they sure do put on a show! This might look impressive to some but in reality, these tunes produce "Far Less Usable Power". Sound familiar? Many have fallen for these "tricks" so don't feel bad.
"Software Jockeys" claiming to be an "Engineer" (lol) don't do or show you anything useful at all. They either copy and paste (Plagiarism) or talk a lot trying to baffle you with their "BS" while hiding behind a pseudonym (Extra channels, Channel King Boards, CB Kidd, Stinger Boards etc). This type has no integrity, practical or "Real World Experience" at all whatsoever! Ever hear them on the radio? Right!
    **Real World Performance**
Do your due diligence! Demand the testing and tuning of your equipment on a minimum 100 MHz *Analog* Oscilloscope, Bird 4314c meter or equivalent and a 1 GHz spectrum analyzer / Service Monitor with a NIST (www.nist.gov/) Traceable "Certification of Calibration". It's the only accurate way of measuring spurious emissions, harmonics and true power @ the fundamental frequency replicating "Real World Performance".
All test equipment and gear under test including meter, scope, spectrum analyzer, sampler, radio and amp if applicable must be in plain sight at all times while gear is under test, fully modulated. Inducing distortion though meter using un-calibrated "flea market" test equipment is misrepresentation and an illusion playing on your ignorance while insulting your intelligence!
If they cant display everything all at the same time while under test, explain ac volts, pep, pk, cw, rms (Ohms Law), capacitance, inductance and the basic principles of a phase shift then how do you expect them to accurately test, tune or align your system? Ever wonder why they attempt to replicate or imitate everything I do and say but yet fail miserably in a deceiving way? Pay Attention!
Fine Tune CB adheres to NIST and other standards to maintain accuracy and consistency for providing "Real World Performance" with integrity. www.nist.gov/
The Bench: HP8924c Service Monitor. A comprehensive list below in the comments section including dBm to watts and volts tables.
More range and reliability with peace of mind, get Fine Tuned, not peaked and ruined.
Don't let them play Three Card Monte with you because they will. Most importantly, find someone who's honest and competent, not part of Facebook CB related groups, a pseudonym on a forum, has a Service Monitor with a NIST Traceable Certification of Calibration and not garage sale non certified test equipment stacked up the wall trying to baffle you with BS. Never settle for less because that's what you'll get, Houdini tricks, ghost watts, "S9" out of calibration and a noisy receiver!

*PAY ATTENTION!* If they recommend 3' increments or claim that length don't matter, *RUN!!*
*If they don't or wont show you .. like this .. they're stroking you, get that Part?* Never settle for less! Here's what it takes to cut through the noise, be loud and crystal clear with a better receiver too: *A) Tuned Bench:* ua-cam.com/video/lwcDfXOgAls/v-deo.html.

That's just a typical run of the mill textbook tune up and alignment (if you're lucky). There's more to it than frequency alignment, modulation adjustment, meter calibration and a tune up report displaying exaggerated rms Bird peak watts!

I have a 9ft best you can buy at a truck stop. My problem was the stock Volvo antenna causing high SWR. I removed both and AM/FM/WX still works. I’m still trying to perfectly tune the SR-A10. Trimmed about .75” off but still higher on 40 than 1. Thanks again for another informative video. I like your model of 955’s only. Seems like everyone wants one.

Late to the party here. So I am going into my attic and chasing the RG-6 length from the outside antennae to the inside 4-way splitter ( only 2 are used and the remaining 2 are open not capped). From there the two being used run to TVs no further than 25 feet. So altogether maybe running 65 to 70 feet including coiled up portion of the cable. Should I rerun all the cable and cut the excess as I have the ability to do so ?

Good vid! I changed coax lengths and got better power results. I let a few people know and I didn’t get flamed but there is some skepticism from them. I just told what I came up with.

If someone does not think coax length matters they are fooling themselves, take this man's word for it, or you can be like me and learn the hard way like I did when I was a teenager. A little research and reading a book or two and watching some good videos like this one can go a long way in helping your signal travel a long way! (See what I did there?😋😆)

    That mean...
If I made a Jumper for 11M I may use it for 10M but I have to avoid to use it on lower HF Band.
Right? I have to make other jumpers? Or that's why tuner are often used or include in the radio?

My goodness, I’m just truly amazed of the equipment you use and your knowledge. I don’t even know how one holds all that in ? This is the guy who heard you in pa off 90 east bound. Again that was awesome. I’ve been watching the needle one guy talks and his moves around not sure if that’s mine I don’t know how it all really works hopefully after all your videos. Was interesting tho I would glance at the needle when you were on and it stayed completely still. Well it’s the weekend hope you and everyone has a good one and I have a lot to learn along with trucking.

I'm sure that the majority are now catching on but they've been fooled, mislead, or have been preaching what they've heard for so long now that they found it hard to face the facts. Reality hits hard ..

Thanks Jim .. long as one can follow directions, I can show anyone how to learn at their own pace and install their own system. Once installed, easy to trouble shoot and maintain. Better to teach a man to fish than be a babysitter. Hope all is swell and well!

This definitely shows the difference on transmit.... Most people don't stop to think that you are " Listening", with ground....that means the ground portion of your coax is also part of the " Receive", antenna system....thus cutting coax to the frequency your listening on will therefore be resonant as well....Translation.....it improves your "Ears" ! !!!
