My only contribution is a theft from "The Phantom Of The Opera" ... to me he is the Angel of Music. Discovering him reawakened my passion for music and to hear and see him immortalized on video at my fingertips makes me feel he is still near. I think of this whenever I see the video for "A Kind Of Magic," as he looks so much like The Phantom in that video. The lyrics are appropriate as well!
Freddie Mercury is my all time favorite singer. It’s not even close, at all. God, he was amazing. I so wish I could have seen and heard him in person. I don’t think anyone can even compare to him. What range he had, what charisma. I’ll listen to his music over and over and over and over and over again until I die.
4 decades bevor this time... i remember how to have the best sound system technology at home was a goal like paradiese. and how men around the world were in love with him diving into his music all free time and when i was a bit older, i lend news of the world from my father and did listen half of the night and went next day to school. 🕯 ❤🔥 🙏
there is no doubt in my mind, that as a performer myself, my idol is, and always will be Freddie Mercury. A mere "R.I.P." does not do a man like him justice, Legends like him don't die.
Freddie and I were born around the same time. In 1955, when R&R and doo wop were in their infancies, I can imagine Freddie becoming aware of 'The Great Pretender' by the Platters. However, I cannot imagine him foreseeing how he would give new meaning to the lyrics years later. Each are magnificent in their own way and in their own times. I rank Freddie and Queen with Elvis in my lifetime with music.
I honestly don't think we will ever come across a music artist like Freddie ever again. He is just so.. unique. Queen music has changed my life. Whenever I listen to it, I just get this short boost of hope, happiness and inspiration. Whenever that runs out and I feel sad and bored I listen to another amazing song. I wasn't even around during his life but time doesn't make a difference in what type of person he was. I hope heaven exists so I can meet him for the future of my life.
@@raycarter8070 I agree with EJ and DB but how about Elvis,John Lennon and MJ. EJ DB FM EP JL and of course MJ are all talented in their own way. But yes I agree 👍
As a huge fan of Queen, I’ve only recently came across Freddie Mercury’s solo work. I absolutely love his singles stuff and this song in particular is both sad & excellent at the same time. The recreation of all of Queen’s music videos and other Mercury solo videos are a great homage, he really was The Great Pretender! RIP Freddie Mercury
@@cjmorton2436 I didn’t really get into Queen until the late 90s/early 2000s. I wasn’t even aware Freddie Mercury did solo songs and an album, but I like his solo work as much or maybe more than all the Queen albums. Mr. Bad Guy had songs that I play on my Apple Music daily. It’s really sad that Freddie says he’s lonely in “The Great Pretender” and again in “Livin’ On My Own” and it paints a picture of a man much deeper and self aware than his stage persona. If Freddie had made more solo albums, there’s no telling how many dozens of great songs we’d have gotten. I’d easily put Freddie Mercury as the top pure vocalist and performer of all time.
@@DWtechfan I know right. It would’ve been amazing. The reason I said that everyone had higher expectations for Freddie for him to do solo is because Brian and Roger had released their own solo stuff and has said in an interview people expected him to be the first one to do a solo album from the band
3 years ago I was diagnosed with a life long disease and went threw treatment and surgery's and this is my get up song when I'm down..i love u Freddie thanks ❤️
You can just tell, If Freddie was still alive he’d be liked by everyone today. He had such an adaptable and open personality, open to change and had a lot of plasticity. If he was stil alive today, he’d give all performers a challenge.
I started listening to Queen 3 months ago and went in chronological order year after year since their beginnings in 1971, listening to all their albums and some very epic concerts in their history. Now that I have reached the year 1987, the only thing I will say is that Freddie Mercury is a legend.
I think Freddie was the greatest Front Man of all time... even better than Elvis. Don't get me wrong, I feel Elvis was an icon and a really great performer... but Freddie Mercury just seemed to have an edge that put him beyond all of the front men I've seen in my 70 years of life. Mark Bell
There is nothing that attracts me more than Fredie's voice. Nothing in the English language has more meaning when Freddie sings. It's the voice of the hero. Love from India! Freddie.

Have heard this version by Freddie many times, just brilliant!, but thought to myself tonight, is this the BEST ever pop video ever recorded?? Simply Awesome when you watch it in detail!
We have a Freddie Mercury the one and only and as long as Queen performed add concerts and as long as people continue to listen to their music videos. I'm a huge queen fan. I haven't watched that anime, but accidentally watched the ending song video of the anime (it looks like another "cat" version of this MV but more?). In the ending song, those cats are not random cats, they are all Freddie's cats. The one running from behind the curtain is Delilah (the protagonist), and the three other cats are Goliath (he has exactly the same red collar), Tiffany and Oscar. And, I think the ending song independently tells a story between Mary and Freddie, the short-haired woman who opened the door and picked up Delilah is like the silhouette of Mary Austin. And Delilah turned into a human form the moment he was picked up (the human form looks like Freddie in the 70s ! ), and the location is Garden Lodge (the brick wall and the door are exactly the same shape as Garden Lodge). And the last scene is morning, and Delilah is curled up next to Mary who is sleeping. Maybe the story means that Freddie's soul is stored in Delilah? Can only be transformed into a human form briefly when meeting Mary? idk, interesting story, tho. The author should be a fan of Freddie.
Okay this is amazing. I love Queen and I love the anime but I had no idea about this. Can't believe they actually took all that info to make the ending, it's just stunning. Also what you just said makes SO MUCH SENSE inside the story of the anime too. The final arc hasn't aired yet but it feels like the story fits in perfectly with this
Yeah it makes sense. I think both Freddie and Mary still loved each other deep down even though they both went different ways and had their own partners. It's like those love situations where you both love each other but you just can't be together no matter what

I think of this whenever I see the video for "A Kind Of Magic," as he looks so much like The Phantom in that video. The lyrics are appropriate as well!

The best singer of all time.
THE ANGELS ARE LUCKY TO HAVE HIM

4 decades bevor this time... i remember how to have the best sound system technology at home was a goal like paradiese. and how men around the world were in love with him diving into his music all free time

Hi Julie how are you?
Yess, no one...just no one could replace our great Freddy Mercury 😢😢❤
there is no doubt in my mind, that as a performer myself, my idol is, and always will be Freddie Mercury. A mere "R.I.P." does not do a man like him justice, Legends like him don't die.
you are right
could not agree more with you, performer, singer, composer....i don't know when se are going to see someone like this in the future
+Angelina Garcia You are absolutely right. Freddie will never die.
well said,

One of a,kind.
well... i see what you mean. but uh, let not have another artist like him, but another artist as unique as him
It wasn't just his voice or musical talent. He had great dance moves too. Amazing talent. A very special person.
I’m really surprised. I like this. He was so much like Elton And Bowie!

Hello Lorena, how are you doing? My name is Randy and I'm a music Lover
I wish his solo work lasted a bit longer. I know that everyone had high expectations when Freddie released Mr Bad Guy.

@@DWtechfan Sadly as a solo artist , he didn't have the same success as with Queen .

There aren't enough words for me to express how much this influenced my life. I remember watching Queen performing on Live Aid. They were amazing
You can just tell, If Freddie was still alive he’d be liked by everyone today. He had such an adaptable and open personality, open to change and had a lot of plasticity. If he was stil alive today, he’d give all performers a challenge.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
He'd very likely have been knighted at this point, just like Sir Elton John and (naturally) Sir Brian May.
The fact that they perfectly recreated all of the videoclips and sets still fascinates me till this day

Well, a couple were just clips from others. Such as, "Made In Heaven" and "Time".
Freddy being taken from us so early is what makes him the greatest.
I said everytime, everywhere and everyone: THIS MAN IS GENIUS
I started listening to Queen 3 months ago and went in chronological order year after year since their beginnings in 1971, listening to all their albums and some very epic concerts in their history. Now that I have reached the year 1987, the only thing I will say is that Freddie Mercury is a legend.
I think Freddie was the greatest Front Man of all time... even better than Elvis. Don't get me wrong, I feel
Elvis was an icon and a really great performer... but Freddie Mercury just seemed to have an edge that
put him beyond all of the front men I've seen in my 70 years of life.

But tiktok users don't do great things with Queen's music.....
This is a cover btw, it's not written by Freddie.
There is nothing that attracts me more than Fredie's voice. Nothing in the English language has more meaning when Freddie sings. It's the voice of the hero. Love from India! Freddie.

You mean queen of queens in music

The final arc hasn't aired yet but it feels like the story fits in perfectly with this
Wow thanks for the info!
Freddie did love his cats.
Yeah it makes sense. I think both Freddie and Mary still loved each other deep down even though they both went different ways and had their own partners. It's like those love situations where you both love each other but you just can't be together no matter what
fun fact, this anime was completely original so the Japanese animators were massive fans of them
