Wow, I love that! I wouldn’t have thought of red under that transfer, but that’s why you are the professional and I’m in training!😂. Your piece is beautiful with the oriental vibe!
Love Chinoiserie style cabinets and you really did it justice! I've been hoping and waiting for one of the companies to make a Chinoiserie transfer or decoupage and though I like the look of the birds, I'm definitely not fond of the sort of animated, almost cartoon-like style of the florals. Chinoiserie is a style that doesn't need adjusting. It's classic, yet can be the standout accent design of a whole room because of its ethereal elegance and worldly feel. Making the florals like this, they really made it look more juvenile, as opposed to timeless. I know it's not your design. And maybe you think I'm an ass for saying anything, and maybe I am. 🤔😆..but your finished piece is still gorgeous, as ausual. I'm always happy when you post a new video, Connie!
The oven cleaner hack is ridiculous and dangerous to the user and to pets. The fumes are toxic. You certainly soldier through setbacks and are able to create a true thing of beauty. I like stacked furniture and see the cabinet sitting atop a long low table. Enjoyed the tutorial.
Yes we do! Although my friend here in the UK has done the oven cleaner thing several times and had great success. Maybe it was the finish on mine that didn’t suit 🤷🏼♀️
I tried the oven cleaner once. First time and last time. I did the same thing last night on a transfer but I was going over it with the polishing pad and it rubbed it off. Do you think it’s because it wasn’t stuck down enough? I did the same thing. Painted it in. Love the piece too Connie!
Yes it could be! Also transfers with lots of detail or delicate areas are just at more risk of being lifted by accident as opposed to ones with less detail
Absolutely delightful. The person who gets that will have a treasure.
Thank you!
I really love how this turned out. It looks so good. what a complete transformation.
Thanks very much!
That's gorgeous!! 👏👏I love the red and how the other elements compliment it. ❤

I appreciate the honesty! I’m glad you like the cabinet ❤️

I've been wanting to try the oven cleaner too. I suspect we have weaker oven cleaner strength than the US 😊
