Reminds me of the video of that English footballer (Ian Wright), who didn't have a great homelife growing up. A teacher (Mr Sydney Pigden) stepped up and helped teach him responsibility and respect - he was also Ians football coach. Years later, when Ian had become a successful football star, he meet his teacher again. And, in that moment, he was back to being the school boy again, attitude instantly changing - the sheer respect for Pigden radiating from the, now, millionaire footballer can be felt through the screen. Ian has gone on record to say that Pigden was the first positive male role model he ever had. Something, I'm sure that boy can relate to (even if the teacher isn't the first). Just goes to show how much of an impact teachers can have on their students when they truly take them under their wing.
Knowing Young Diego (12) himself died a year after playing the violin at his Teachers Funeral has me shattered. Learning he died because he was misdiagnosed 😢 broke me. I know life isn’t fair but damn…. This was wrong on every level 😢
For anyone wondering, Jeju Air flight 2216 landed without being able to properly deploy landing gear. It slid off the end of the Runway and slammed headfirst into a wall at speed.
@@yasminbarry7941 came in too fast from looks of videos they have of it too. No landing gear caused by bird strike on an engine....something else is going on
If you ever wondered why plague doctor masks had bird beaks, it's because back then they thought disease was a miasma, so anything bad smelling would be disease. (They weren't far off) the beak on the mask was stuffed with pleasant smelling herbs and such to fight off the foul odours, which they thought was disease.
The boy's name was Diego Frazão, affectionately nicknamed “Azul” (Blue), a shining star within the AfroReggae NGO. His life, however, was deeply intertwined with tragedy. In 2009, his beloved teacher and mentor, Evandro João Silva, was killed-allegedly by off-duty police officers. The image of young Diego, playing the violin in raw grief during the funeral, touched the heart of an entire nation, symbolizing both loss and resilience. But the heartbreak did not end there. Just a year after that poignant photograph moved Brazil, Diego himself passed away. Misdiagnosed initially as having appendicitis, his actual battle with leukemia rapidly worsened. Despite his evident strength and courage, the young boy succumbed to the illness at the tender age of 12. Diego’s short life serves as a haunting reminder of the fragility of innocence amidst systemic failings, but also as a beacon of the power of music, hope, and the profound connections we form with one another. His story is one that demands to be remembered-a tale of a life stolen too soon yet filled with an enduring legacy of love and humanity.
Thank you for that information. I've seen this picture a few times before, but until now I never knew the story. So sad that the student passed away so soon. I hope he's continuing to learn from his teacher, now that they're together again.

The statue looks like a children's story character not a laboratory mouse but the sentiment is worthwhile. Humans should volunteer for clinical trials if they can. Not enough do.
The mouse statue is very touching because humans chose to honor these little creatures used in research. There is also a statue of Lika at a research facility in Moscow. I hope to see it in person someday.
I'm furious about Jeju Flight 2216. For those who don't know...South Korea put a big concrete WALL at the end of the runway. There was an emergency after a bird strike...*the 9th this year. Had to land without landing gear or flaps. Everything was going well until they hit that wall.
@BigSirZebras idc I just want to make sure I'm running in the right direction if it's a crash landing. Note to self: get yo azz in the back in case of crash landing emergency.
The mouse one is annoying. Animals used in testing dont "sacrifice" their lives, that denotes giving up something of one's own free will. Their lives are taken from them
Sad fact: Jeju aircraft hit a 6 ft long and 4 feat think concrete slab covered in a mud mext to runway. Pilot thought it was just a mud pile and landed the airplane on it. It was later conformed by other pilots from the same airport that they also thought it was only a mud pile and didnt know about existence of such a large concrete slab beneath it untill the mishap.

If you look at the crash video the plane hit a wall that was on airfield and exploded in flame and the stews were saved from being burned to death by the tail breaking off which directed the fireball out the end of the fuselage which begs the question why was there a wall for the plane to crash into on the airfield.
My heart goes out to that little boy. I hope he finds peace in his music. Also, how did those two survive that crash?! What an absolutely terrifying thing to go through.
