  • In this final BEEometry clip, we swarm towards calculating the surface area and volume of spherical beehives, and other spheres as well. How many circles of having the same radius as a sphere can "wrap around" the full surface of the sphere? Today, you're going to find out. YAY MATH!

He is the best math teacher ive seen. Most of my math teachers dont even provide us formulas in the test. We had to memorize it and not just apply like what he did.

Great question "how do we prove that?"! I am very certain you know there is way to derive this proof mathematically. Measuring with a tape or ruler is not the answer he was looking for, decent response though.
I must say I still think your videos are awesome but I would love for you to talk about derivation and proof more with your students.
You could construct a proof of the area of the sphere mathematically using the concepts the students are (well should be) familiar with.
    Keep up the good work!
    YAY MATH!

Peace, mercy and blessings of God, I am very amused including progress on your channel, because I am from the people of math and loved math and I have a Bachelor of Mathematics, but if allowed, and I was able to add to the receipt of an Arabic translation will increase the number of beneficiaries to offer.

I thought it was great that you mentioned calculus. The quiet you created by mentioning calculus was formidable. This is a great time to set-up the hints about what calculus is about... just hints... (kind of like you did)

I've taken college pre-calc and got an A on it and I still don't know where the 4/3 comes from. Now I'm heading to trig and doing geometry-review class, and I would say algebra/calc is much easier. Well, also easier to mess up as well. This is too much remember if you don't understand the concepts. Maybe it will come up in Calc 1.

Alright, so basically we have the fraction 4/3*pi*27, we have a three on the bottom, and we need to isolate the 4 in the fraction 4/3, so what is the 3 doing? It's dividing, so we do the same thing with 27/3 and we get 9. That means we're left with 4*pi*9. So now we can multiply it by what is left, 9, and we get 36pi. Does that help?
