Rosa the car guitar is very, very beautiful I hope Alex sings a song on video using the lovely guitar. It will be very loved if Alex takes it home. Love from the UK xx
I like Hans because he reminds me of one of my brothers. My brother was born in Kentucky so he was a hillbilly lol but he had the same mannerisms as Hans. He was about the same height and build except he didn't have a beard.
Love seeing Hans and Zanovia... Hans laugh is infectious... Great guys day out… Neat fun finds for the day… Stephen loves his little bro, that's why he teases….
I love it when you find old cars. And I'm glad to see your kids working alongside you more these days. So many kids never get t he chance to really see what their father does to earn a living. They are learning so much just being around as you go about your business. I was able to be around my father's veterinary practice and I treasure those memories.
In Poland we have Plum Pierogi. Made with fresh plums, cut in sections, put inside the dumpling, cooked then served with sweet cream (which is a single-ish sour cream mixed with some sugar). Super Tasty! In early summer (late May, early June - well, the strawberry season ;) we also make Strawberry pierogi. Served with sweet cream as above :)
When you said you filled up the Roof Rack too, there's barely enough room for Stephen. I had vision of Stephen tied on the roof! Jason is correct his time and effort is worth a hat and lunch.
by the way I say more streams from the store when you are slow. I could watch one stream a day on the store for sure. I love the shelves and all the cool crafts and foods and antiques. You have a cool store for sure.
Hi Alex and fam! this episode reminded me of when I pulled half of a Texaco Fire Chief enameled sign near a boat dock with my magnet. It has the date 1967 on it. I was so bummed it wasn't whole and I've been back a few times to see if I could find the other half. No luck. I think you said in one episode that people would cut the signs into pieces and use them to repair things or build things. I think someone was using this half for something in their boat and lost it over the side. Even though I've only got half of it, it's one of my favorite finds! Thanks for all your videos!!!!
Being an avid car guy, you need to put a pit in your new garage. You won't regret the extra cost. It makes working under cars SO much easier...cool Mercury BTW!
Dear @@Hanzyscure 👍👌👏 Definitely. For instance one like the model Mustie1 bought. Therefore I already suggested them to have a higher garage/workshop in their new house. Best regards, luck and health.
@@Hanzyscure - Gonna have to disagree with you there. You need to factor in the added height necessary for the lift to fit in the garage (which might throw off the overall house design), the cost of the lift and cost to operate. And anything sitting on concrete is going to be infinitely safer than being held up by mechanical means..
Alex, I think that you could find a diamond in a cement mixer as you do find some of the nicest stuff. I love the guitar and can't wait to hear the mercury run and drive. Congrats are in order
The song, 'Mercury Blues': "If I had money, tell you what I'd do, I'd go downtown, buy a Mercury or two, I'm crazy 'bout a Mercury, I'm just crazy 'bout a Mercury, I'm gonna buy me a Mercury cruise it up and down the road." Can find Mercury Blues on the El Rayo Ex album, sung by David Lindley with raucous electric slide guitar. A great song for a 'road trip'. The song has great drumming as well.
@@michellewilsdon294 Hi Michelle. Thinking about road trips I have done I recall anytime I was on a long trip, getting tired and needed a boost to keep going I would listen to 'The Athol Highlanders/Johnnie Cope' tune and song medley by the Tannahill Weavers. There's nothing like a blistering, blazing bagpipe tune to make you sit up in the drivers seat and give you a couple more hours of wide-awake driving time!
Alex, On Sunday September 26 the largest one day car show in western Canada takes place in High River Alberta. Over 1100 vehicles on display is typical. Come on down. Plus tons of thrifting options.
Yes and if you venture south maybe the drive in movie theatre will be playing a show? Then there is always Memory Lane for locally made ice cream and home cooked treats and meals or The Hitchin Post for famous Burger’s and milk shakes. The Whistle Stop is hard to beat for good food served up right in the old train dining car! Then of course you might find some antiques in the “Quonset behind the Hitchin Post, Gary’s Great Buy on Centre or J &D’s Attic on the East side of Town! Oh ya by then Herb’s pie should be available with local musicians on Sunday afternoons at the Art and Soul Gallery.
Yup. I owned an ice cream store in the 70s, and I had a Hamilton Beach malt mixer just like that one. I had pinball machines, air hockey, and some very early electronic games.
Wow! What a fantastic haul of great signs, and lots of cool stuff from the past! I love that mixer :) It's always great to see the friends of Curiosity Incorporated ... well, Alex, show up. And family, too. Plus, cool cars every month, I swear! LOL Why you don't have 5 million subscribers already, I just don't know. But here's hoping you do, and soon . . .

So Alex bought another car, imagine that lol! It is always great to see the kids helping on picks and now that the boys are older their muscles can be put to good use.
My first car was a Mercury, two tone green. It was a '53 and I bought it used in 1959 after I graduated from HS. The Merc had a continental kit and dual pipes, sounded real sweet! I loved that car
How did I suspect that car was going to follow you home? Loved seeing the old gang in the store, and your wonderful sons. How did Stephen like the goodies that nice couple dropped off for him? Not used to seeing you pick from a clean, tidy stash like that. The items were amazing!
Dear Mr. Archbold. 👍👌👏 Simply fantastic again! What incredibly great purchases. Congrats, congrats, congrats! Thanks a lot for making teaching explaining recording editing uploading and sharing. Best regards luck and health to all of you.
I’ve been watching for about 2-1/2 years now and I can’t begin to remember all the cars that have come and gone in that time! I think the Mercury is the first “new” old car that arrived in mint condition however! You’re going to have to install a revolving door on the garage at the new place Alex!!
What an amazing day of treasure hunting! Great haul and that car looks amazing! That BMW sign will look fantastic in your new garage. Thanks for taking us along on this fun adventure!
I can see why every cool car in Edmonton was formerly owned by Mr Alexander Archbold. The signs were really good too - as originals, they should go in the thousands in the condition they're in.
Great video Alexander. Unboxing with support from friends. Road trip with the boys was way cool. Real treasures on this buy. Can hardly wait to see more of what you found. And of course a car reached out and begged to go home with you.
And then sometimes Life is like a whirlwind....don't know if you're coming or going or have already been there twice and back. Fun to sit and relax and just watch.
My grandpa had a beautiful Mercury Marquis he used to drive from Iowa to Vegas with my grandma for their annual gambling fling. Grandma hung her feet out the window to keep cool and got stung by a bee once on her big toe. Ah…the memories.
The car you scored is incredible. Mint condition. Love that Guild guitar, surfing USA sign and tons of cool treasures. Your kids are so kind and adorable. That says a lot about their character and the parenting from you and Melissa. 💕💕
Yes very sweet I get a little tired of watching UA-cam channels with people dragging their kids around that don't want to be there and are more of a distraction than help. Kids are cute but spoiled kids I don't want to watch.
Your son was very smart to buy the car. I worked at Ren Dem's BENZ shop for years. Parkview . Drove many cars. E class was just a great ride. Was such a great job. Enjoyed taking a customer his or her car.
I saw a few things from my childhood. The milkshake machine and the Greyhound bus (only my bus was life size). What a wonderful time in my life, back then. Thanks for kicking off that memory.
Isn't it so nice to see young men mature as in when Stephen said he doesn't need a 'reward'. This is their way of becoming more independent and now it is up to father to refigure things. :)
I love seeing your sons working with you! I would call Jason your mini me but he's not mini! Im very proud of Stephen and his hard work to get his car! They are learning valuable lessons about working for what they want. God bless you all - from n old woman in East TN

What a fun filled video. I love seeing the gang get together. And a day with your sons is always worth it, even if you hadn't found anything. And a car. I'm looking forward to seeing more of the car and more about it. Loved seeing Hans and Zenovia. That guitar is pretty cool. I think the next couple of months may be pretty interesting, with the house and garage build. The business build. Cars popping up. Keep them coming!
I have watched my own grow up and move on and make grandbabies. I have watched yours grow up and and now one is driving. I'm getting old but it's OK. Thank you Alex for sharing with us again.
