Command & Conquer 3 is a game I've talked a lot about, and played a lot of hours of. And today, we're finally seeing how it holds up! Should you play Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars in 2019?

My mom worked on this game! She was supervising the team doing the art and asset work from the games early stages all the way to completion. They even let me play test in when it was in alpha. I remember I played the nod mission where you assault the port and blow up the ships. Lots of great memories. I even got to meet the actor that played Kane!
That's awesome! Jealous!
That was YOUR thumb print on the screen! Good experience for you. Thanks for giving us all a wave. Happy Gaming. Big thanks to your mom too!
Yeah, i totally believe what you say.

Lucky! But cool man!
As an 55 year old adult who never has time to play video games anymore, I have really decided to get back into this game in 2019. Your video was a godsend, I love this game, and with the graphics turned all the way up, I think it holds up very well and will be playable for many years to come. Thank you so much for making this video!
No problem! I love comments like this, I'm glad you enjoyed the video and are looking to play the game again. It's why I do this, so thanks :)
I'm 16 and I can easilly say this is one of my favorite games.
@Charles Hubbard, welcome back, i´m 37 and i agree, not much time and energy to play like before but i always find time and energy for Tiberium Wars/Kane´s Wrath, i´ve been playing it like 10 years now and it never bores me, i never got so addicted to a game.
I played these games when it first came out on consoles. I just recently bought Kane’s Wrath and Tiberius Wars and got hooked on it all over again at the age of 43. So much better on PC. I also luvdacurvyones on Red Alert 3!
This game is still amazing.
The reason why I love tiberium wars so much because of its color palette, dark, gloomy and depressing. And it fits perfectly in the setting.
I love that too, effective atmosphere
But how about when its dark and those shields come on the walkers, their lasers fire and the ion storm generator things light up the skies and ships. Damn its still a good game. I always wished for a more zoomed out mode but. So i could zooom all the way out rather than in.
Yeah and even the confident units with confident voice lines still show fear/desperation such as the missile squad when it's under attack.
RA3 is just cockiness in T3 lol
Even now I regard Tiberium Wars as my favorite RTS
Hellll yeah bud
Saaammme 😌
@Ionor Rea's Tech Evolution Archive dude he only gives his opinion that he likes the game and you have to shit on him so badly for that. If you dont like the game no problem dude but please let the guy have fun in the game and let him enjoy it instead of typing for 30 mins because someone likes a game
@@ryanooteghem1398 well because he never have memories playing even one C&C series. I grew up with C&C Generals/Zero Hour, RA2, Tiberium Wars and RA3.
Mines is halo wars
Literally the last good C&C game. Literally the last good game by EA LA. Kane's Wrath ramps up the crazy. The game is fast and dynamic. Scrin were actually fun.
Then we've got that one C&C game we do not speak about that ABSOLUTELY RUINED EVERYTHING.
Kane's Wrath is super good. Hopefully the remasters show EA that people actually want good CnC games and will pay for it!
Well yea
Absolutely love the surprise scrin campaign after beating both gdi and nod
@@Zade_95 I'm extremely skeptical here. I'd rather if EA burns and the rights to C&C goes to Petroglyph which is made up of most of people from Westwood.
@@mattor300 It's sad how the series ended. And then how Generals got shafted. Not to mention Red Alert...
Never forget,
WE GOT THE ROCKETS!
\o7
THEY'RE NOT LEAVING HERE!
"Listen up Missile Squad!!"
THE OPPRESSORS MUST DIE! DOWN WITH GDI!
KANE LIVES
Man, those unit quotes always make me nostalgic. “We got the rockets.”
Sometimes, I listen to compilations of C&C dialogue just to remember.
They are great
"Nod must acquire new lands"
"Predator, rolling out"
My favourites is Definitely, "The Cities of NOD is on The Rise", "Aww, I liked that one." and "I admire their Courage." 😅 I love Nikita. 😁
i read that with the voices
Yeah, Steel Talons should of had Marv replaced with Mammoth mk 2.
And yeah KW was needed with lack 9f cyborgs and the walkers
@@Zade_95 yup. If anything survives that disagree it should be that.
Mods will fix that
I remember playing this on my shitty laptop when I was young and getting 5fps whenever a super weapon got launched. Good memories.
Surprised they have computers in Whiterun, Jarl. Glad you could enjoy this game, despite your experience being limited. Down with the Stormcloaks!
Same, I remember when I was young I'd launch a Nuclear Missile and then zoom into it and my game would crash, my child brain couldn't comprehend why. I also didn't know the difference between Firehawk air to air missiles and ground bombs. I still play the games up to this day and I have 750-800 hours on Tiberium Wars and Kane's Wrath
same.
I kind of killed my Xbox a lil by playing a lot of 3 ai skirmishes💀
"Corny, but charming storyline". Best, and most accurate description of command and conquer games lmao, love it.
this is why ppl loved it and it stood out from star craft this was the b movie and starcraft was more your A movie sort of deal both had there place and we loved them both normaly at least
@@thedoverna5323 Kane and Tiberium were what made this story. Who is this Kane person? What is Tiberium? Where did it come from?
It was even better that it was not all revealed in the first game. Hints and subtle clues were doled out little by little over all the games.
@@deadlee0b1 also true it was a dam good story to go with the b movie feel and the like it just worked on so many levels both games did for most rts players and such but ya then ea just had to go hold my beer
They really carved out their own niché
One minor thing I loved in this game is that the Nod EVA was more emotive than its GDI counterpart, I could just about feel it judging me in the "unable to comply" messages. I rather like how this reflects the attitudes shown by your aides, Ajay being very informal and openly criticising even inner circle members like Kilian, while Kirce almost never broke from a scrupulously professional attitude.
I like how this shows the contrasting cultures of the two organisations; the GDI being a traditional military force, at least in terms of organisation, while the Brotherhood is a militarized cult who will tolerate just about anything except disrespect for Kane as long as you deliver results
"Steel Talons are GDI's advanced technology divison"
Uhhh
Wazoo117 *ZOCOM wants to know your location*
Zacom is stronger in every aspect than steel talons I think
Count Vertigo canonically yes but in game Zocom sacrifices a lot for its mediocre infantry and superior aircraft
steel talons are the "tried and true previous generation of weaponry" faction XD
Steel talon has more firepower but to me zocom is more advance then steel talon since their unit has tiberium protection plus has a very deadly anti armor and building weapon
I'm not a fan of EA or Origin but being able to buy all the C&C titles in one collection is fantastic.
I'm with ya dude, that's some value
My only problem (more so them just bring old) is how the older games hate dual monitors. They freak out and launch half the time
I die inside a little every time t remember cnc4. I grew up playing Tiberian sun, firestorm and tiberium wars. Cnc4 was just..
Hehehe, yes, me too, i replayed Tiberium Wars missions a few days ago and i got excited again when the Scrin Overlord said in the last video "Prepare a full Invasion Force. Earth will fall". The first time i heard that i was expecting an epic, brutal, giant Command and Conquer 4, yet we got that... that thing.
rubbish lol
I love command & conquer 3, and was utterly disappointed with 4. C&C 3 and Red Alert 3 were the last two games I liked from them...and, that was 2008-2009.
i agree with you there buddy, my first encounter was C&C95 on good ole ps1 then i got a PC and got it again along with red alert :D ive played every single one and loved every single one, except the ugh... lets not talk about it shall we.
Grew up with CNC3, we can all agree that we dont see CNC4 as a real CNC......... The only thing that's worse is the mobile game....
The final good Command and Conquer game, including Kane’s Wrath as well. I enjoyed Red Alert 3 but it just wasn’t the same. C&C 3 will always be my favourite. Plus the exaggerated quotes from nod units such as “CLEANSE THEM WITH FLAMES”.
Agreed!
Zade glad you’re making good content man, wishing me with nostalgia
The reason why I loved cnc3 is that, he took the good parts from Generals and Red Alert 3, the free building placement from generals and it's game engine and the Stances from Red Alert 3. But overall the texture an_ graphics of CnC3 is really good even for this day it still looks great in 2020.
The sage engine is from generals, and that’s technically a derivative of the engine used for the fps command and conquer it came before ra3 so it didn’t take anything from that game ra3 took stuff from it
CNC 3 is a great game on its own. The only issue I have with it is theme wise its completely different from Tiberian Sun in both looks and sound. Tiberian Sun was a dark future dystopia with a distinct retro feel. The soundtrack for TS was made by Frank Klepacki who made all the other CNC soundtracks before EALA took over. CNC 3 on the other hand has a much more American Military vs Red Terrorists feel more like CNC generals than what it's predecessor was. It feels like they took a step back from the future into more modern times which to me just clashes with the narrative. We had the modern military battle between Nod and GDI in the original CNC, to go back now is to feel like technology got "stupider". Otherwise a good game though. Kane lives in death.
Patrick Eriksson it's explained as Nod got a lot of setbacks while GDI suffered penny pinching as budget is shifted from military to reclamation.
OMg I so agree with you
@@uuamenator you're wrong, be better
My take on it is that the mutation that was in sun was finally destroyed by the tib glaciers all over the planet that finally crystallized all the carbon matter in all life.
@@uuamenator I do kinda agree with you. I never understood people calling Tib Sun "realistic" "dark" "sad" I mean, it's a good game. But, it felt so cartoonish to me.
Gameplay of this game is endless fun with any mods.
The moment you realise years and years after playing C&C3 that two of the actors in the cut scenes are both in Battlestar Galactica... and they're both Cylons!
GDI has been compromised !
My favorite Command and Conquer game. I also want to include the Kane’s Wrath expansion, both are filled with great replay value and a surprisingly well made campaign mode for all factions
999% recommended game until the world end!
@Reicher Reinhardt Von kesselring ,, yep that will be long until they give us the c&c we deserve!.. and do u think EA will ever do that .. no!! so i'm correct xD
CNC3, Red Alert 2, and Tiberian Sun. Best 3 games in the series.
I liked generals.
Generals ZH too
Red Alert Classic
no DTA Dawn of a Tiberium Age is best. its Original CnC + CnC Red Alert 1 both put into the tiberian sun engine
you didnt like the original c n c ? that was my favorite
The B movie cut scenes are one of my all time favourite things in Command & Conquer series love them red alerts where my favourite.
I remember when I was 9 or 10 my dad showed me this game for the Xbox 360. I played it all the time and would never get off it. My favorite faction was the Scrin but now I kinda stick to GDI. I rebought the game on steam and I’m having a blast!
Awesome to hear man!
@@Zade_95 Thanks!
Pretty much same story here lol, just now remembering it. It's much simpler than StarCraft but still has the same things that make it fun.
It's backwards compatible with Xbox one, and the Xbox live servers are still semi-active, as you can still get matches if you wait long enough
This multiplayer for this game when it came out was awesome. Wish they had servers up still.
Christian M you can still play online , download the 3rd party online mod read instructions it’s quite simple
C&C 3 had my favorite campaign. I thought it did a great job of world-building and I loved how it had a unified story where each side you play told the same story from a different point of view.
Um, the games are still on Steam. I'm looking at them right now.
And I even bought it recently
Games like these age like fine wine.
Cover Universe at War as well.
That was hell of a game
semp224 CnC and UaW crossover, when?
Bruh Orlock the eternal was a fucken badass, so sad that series never took off. Had a great soundtrack with Klepaki on board for it
I shall!
chunkblaster I wanted to see Nick Parker vs. Orlok the Eternal fight.
I had no idea this game had an extension ! I used to battle against my brother and father on this game, but as the GDI player, i was always a bit behind. But now i shall have my revenge !
Go get 'em soldier!
Randomly played the other night after a long time. I quickly got sucked into it, such a fun a game!! Over 10 years old but definitely still worth playing today.
All C&C are classic to play, and with MODs? Infinite FUN!
Hard to believe it's 12 years old...
Shit i'm old :D
I remember playing this as the first game i ever played on an xbox at christmas time...still love it to this day.
Rip C&C. You live on through our memories
Might be some life left in it with the remasters!! (I hope)
@@Zade_95 same here. I feel a bit suspicious since EA is at it again but given they're just publishing it and it's the actual C&C boys remaking it, it could do the series justice for years of desecration
I love this game it is one of my favorites but C&C: Rivals is also a great game. Many people who hate it on principle but tried it on released, changed their mind and loved it. So C&C is still alive in my opinion, not as grand as its predecessors but is still enjoyable to outsmart or outplay your opponent in short 3 minute-ish matches.
May be alive but tbh a shadow of it's former self. Can't really match the glory of the older C&Cs for a quickfire, microtrsnsaction filled p2w mobile game.
I saw a snapshot of AoE2 that was releasing in 99 and the article called it a "possible C&C clone"...to think at one point C&C was a titan of RTS that no one could match (at the time) to become this. It's both sad and admirable
@@Zade_95 Fingers crossed!
I am so glad to see that I am not the only weirdo who still plays C&C games. I just finished all the campaigns on Generals... this is next!
"These sonic emitters cut through 'em like a vibro knife through polybutter" and "The security at this place is tighter than X's asshole" are my favorite lines.
@@uuamenator It was the last one. Haven't played in a while but I think one of the NOD commanders was a hot blonde and they were joking about her I think.
Man,I remember playing this game like 8-10 years ago as a kid,I was so impressed with the story and cutscenes, brings back the memories
Honestly art style is actually so good that it still looks good! With story I feel like a big misstep was how it didn't really build upon the previous game. Only Kane is a returning character and as far as story goes ''there was a war and GDI won it'' is about as things influence story in this one.
Playing through the GDI campaign again for the past few days, and I agree that it's one of the best entries in the franchise, and in fact is one of my overall favorites to this day, especially on the aesthetic and lore front.
Thank you for doing this review!
I have to be honest, I was really not a fan of C&C3 when it came out. The initial release of the game was very unbalanced and I did not enjoy the introduction of the Skrin at all. On top of that, I had tons of frame rate and performance issues on my PC at the time which really soured the whole experience for me.
But, after seeing this review I might just give the game another chance. I have not played Kane's Wrath at all and I am pretty sure that performance is not going to be a problem with my current hardware, so it should be a quite different experience.
Thank you for watching!
You should! Kane's Wrath is a ton of fun, and it runs well on nearly all modern hardware :)
@@Zade_95 for KW players that have Integrated GPU dont forget to choose Dedicated GPU, for me for some reason Windows set Integrated GPU as default for KW but dedicated GPU for TW.
Steel Talons, non experimental technology division! On the contrary, they use outdated equipment other GDI divisions removed from service.
"" "The Steel Talons may now be lost to history, but in their prime, they were but steps away from condemning the Brotherhood to that same dusty fate.
- Kane[1] ”
The Steel Talons is a unique experimental technology division of GDI that specializes in utilizing untested technologies, providing near overwhelming force and firepower. The Talons were formed after the resolution of Firestorm Crisis, by General Joshua Mitchell. Mitchell's belief in having a substantially more highly advanced weaponry than any Nod opposition shaped the Talons' combat doctrine.
Thanks to General Mitchell, the group was a test bed for a variety of the state-of-the-art military technologies, many of which were adopted into regular use by GDI forces by the Third Tiberium War. Notably, the division still uses mechanized walkers, such as the Titan and Wolverine. Both have been redesigned since the Second Tiberium War.
Steel Talons is not the official designation of the unit; the name was given to the unit by Mitchell's admirers in the media, notably the famed war hero Nick Parker. Because of their unique purpose, the Division is somewhat autonomous from the rest of GDI.[2] "
Tiberium Wars has such a good and kinda intense plot too. Even though it is meant to be a B movie I am quite surprised on how gritty it can get sometimes

Actually Command & Conquer 3, and Red Alert 3, along with their expansions are still on steam!
You can find C&C3 specifically here: store.steampowered.com/app/24790/Command__Conquer_3_Tiberium_Wars/
Along with a bundle for all of the Modern C&C Games: store.steampowered.com/bundle/951/Command__Conquer_Pack/
Sadly anything before C&C3 is only available in the Ultimate Collection exclusive to Origin.
Right you are! My mistake - thanks for pointing this out :)
@@Zade_95 Anytime! Glad to be of help c:
No mention of awesome Global Conquest mode? :( I still love to play it and only wish it had bigger pool of maps.
It sucks it's percentage rather than Global Conquest. Is it too much to ask for a NOD World?
@@DavidMyrmidon Yeah, Global Conquest wasn't very good.
I liked Global Conquest for the fact it has a bit more strategy than just controlling a single or two bases. You need to think a bit more strategic on where you send your units and how you use them by taking personal control over them. The one thing I hate about it is the fact that GDI forces normally outgun and outnumber NOD battalions and attack with everything they have against you with little to time to build defenses or more units. But either way it's good. You act more like a Supreme General than a field commander.
@@wunderwaffeyt4077 It is just super busted. You can just make squats that autoresolve every encounter to your favor and then the mode crumbles to pieces.
I've just ordered my copy thanks for the video
Enjoy!
I started replaying the game after a decade & noticed that the campaign is super hard - turns out patch 1.9 which I never touched had ruined the campaign by halving the amount of ressources a player gathers per second. For any new players it would be good to mention that there's mods & other ways by which they can restore the campaign to its original state. If the campaign is too hard to beat, it was never intended to be played this way. The patch was created only thinking about multiplayer.
The ambiente score are very good here, it really enhance that post apocalyptic atmosphere, especially in the Red Zone maps. Some tracks even stick in my mind, like the Research Initiative for example.
I was happier than a pig in sh*t when this game came out.. C&C was the very first game I played on N64, what makes C&C very unique is the Live action cutscenes with well known Hollywood actors. The game was and still is easy to learn if you’re new to the franchise because of it’s simplicity. Only 1 source of resources and all you have to do is spam units. Probably the only RTS that offers players to spam units that doesn’t get repetitive unless you played it for over 10 years like I have but that also comes to down to the fact this franchise will always have a place in my heart. I’d say the same for the DOOM franchise as Doom and C&C was the only two games I had on the N64 as the only gaming platform I had.
The next franchise I was introduced to was Age of Empires thanks to Kellogg’s Korn Flakes for the free copy of the game, kids today would never believe that we got a free game in a cereal box. Glade to say I’m so thankful to have be born in the early 90’s.
I've been replaying this game, and it's held up very well, and I seem to appreciate it even more now. I always liked the game, and thought it was fun, but for some reason upon release it was more like a "Ah cool, they made a third one!"
I got into C&C from the original, and remember the Tiberian Sun launch being a pretty big deal too! And while I seem to prefer those titles, I have to admit that there are things about them that haven't aged as well, but I still very much love them.
C&C 3 is of course a lot newer, so would have aged better, but it's still incredibly fun and one of the most content-heavy titles of the series! Fantastic review for a fantastic game!
Agreed. It held up well even for people coming from SC2 graphics.
This is my favourite RTS and command and conquer . Graphically it totally stands up today and the gameplay is top notch!! Great game
this game and kane's shares a bit of that ageless magic that Tib dawn and Tib sun had
Down with E.A.!
Kane lives in death!
Silos needed
Tiberiun Sun forever ! Thank you and have a nice day.
I never panicked so much in an RTS until the Scrin invaded! I was really into the story as a kid, and the whole alien invasion thing really got me flabbergasted!
Hey
At around 11:42 you mention not being able to purchase the game on steam, not sure if the game is region locked but at least in the Uk I can purchase the game fine including the Kanes Wrath DLC and Red Alert, the other game in the series.
Not entirely sure if you mentioned this in the video but I can confirm from personal experience that the steam version works wonders on a windows 10 system including mod support! it can be a bit finicky to set up its a great time!
Great video! this is 100% one of my favourite games of all time, an absolute classic game!
Yeah, you're right! I checked and you can in fact grab it on Steam. My mistake :)
And thanks!
I still play KW and CC3. Unfortunately I only have them on xbox. But it's certainly better than nothing. Love these games.
A great game indeed... though I did miss the mutants and the old Tiberian flora & fauna that were established in Tiberian Sun and Firestorm. I also wish the Scrin campaign was a bit longer - playing as an evil alien invader can be so satisfying :)
Agreed! I miss the mutants :(
Try the mods, have a good T. Sun units
I loved how all 3 campaigns tie in together and how cool a surprise and unique the scrin campaign was
First CNC game I saved up for and bought with my own money, so it's my favorite for sentimental reasons as well as game play ones. Shame the unmentionable game completely failed to pick up on the dangling plot threads this one left.
It's just the story. Like WTF WERE THEY THINKING. (Spoiler) KANE LEAVING THE WORLD AND THE TIB IS JUST LIKE (POOF) AND ITS GONE. Just like the two of the series
That's awesome - similar with me having it be the second in the series I ever played!
So randomly cool how the lost guy was in it. All the actors gave it their sincere best and made for a very engrossing experience.
Short answer: YES.
One of my most memorable memory of any CnC game is how satisfying it is making an army of Juggernauts and making use of snipers for them to snipe halfway across the map,
Other is how impenetrable a Scrin Thunderstorm created by their aircraft carriers are.
And then narrowly avoided an ant-like army line of mammoth tanks by making full use of the fully salvaged stealth tech my squad of Avatars have in one LAN game I had with a friend.
It's enjoyable both for short minutes and heck 6 hours on that particular LAN game I last mentioned 😅 we ended up both turtling, defeated the NPC and scouring the mpa for resources all the while destroying each other's Superweapons whenever one is nearing its activation, I ended up having to make tens of anti air guns and tons of rocket launchers standing by my nuke and he still manage to destroy it with an orbital drop squad of planes.
Tiberium wars was my first CnC game my dad showed me, it was amazing but sadly my computer can’t run the game for some reason
Try out the Origin version, seems to work very well!
There is the issue that one of the multiplayer balance patches broke the campaign. When they rebalanced the game economy to slow the build-up in multiplayer, they didn't do the same for the campaign, so while the AI has a full-power economy, the player is stuck at ~60% of the income they have. It's quite frustrating when I just want to play through the campaigns and see the story again. It's particularly noticable on certain missions and causes seemingly-random massive difficulty spikes, most noticeably on the Sarajevo missions for each side.
It's kinda frustrating. I'm not actually that good at playing the game, but I still enjoy it for the amazing and campy storyline. Even the one mod I found that reverts that change doesn't fix the problem, since it replaces the prospector/surveyor with walls for some godforsaken reason, which breaks a couple of the missions (plus it's just a bad trade, walls aren't terrible, but they're nothing on getting an easy expansion).
Easily the best game of the whole seria!
The Tiberium Universe and this dystopic setting here are doing it for me.
Shame on EA that they destroyed this Universe and the complete C&C game type.
Shame on them! Shame on them! Shame on them! Ring the bells - SHAME
If don't like it go see the cancel game like the incursion, tiberium FPS, and renegade 2
I love scrin’s late game army. It is something out of this world. Just imagine your GDI enemies are using petty tanks and then you reveal your giant alien op battleships :)
I never stopped. Always play as Nod, though. Never actually used GDI or Scrin, unless it's Campaign. Scrin are complete bastards.
So overpowered
I understand where you are coming from, Brother.
But Kane and our idea told us, at least to infiltrate the enemy GDI, for getting information and knowledge about their weapon systems.
;)
Just came home from work and saw another Zade RTS video waiting for me, yessss 🙌
Glad to be of service!
"Nod crush" for the win!
Still playing this game for sure. My favorite of the CnC franchise, even if Tibrian Sun was my first.
Even if you somehow get bored, mods will add a lot more experience.
I wish this game has 64 bit version and a 60fps support. The only best thing EA can do right now is to remaster this game.
It’s strange seeing a minor resurgence in this game/expansion. They just became back compat on Xbox and they’re great.
I think this felt like a return to the old school C&C with the return of the campaign intro movies and old sidebar (as opposed to the Generals UI).
I also really liked the story, acting and campaign missions. The gameplay was good as well. Definitely a good game.
Red Alert 3 however was ridiculous. I'd rather pretend that game doesnt exist.
God I loved this game back in the day when it was super busy online. I loved 2v2 it was just amazing.

I wish there was a way to play the campaigns in their unpatched versions, as I hear they're much easier due to the multiplayer changes being applied to the campaigns as well, all for the worse.
Actually, much harder for the worse. The AI naturally cheats and gets more resources than you'll ever get. Eventually completely overwhelming the player while they try to get a decent army going.
@@Kylesico912x That's what I meant to say, looking at the confusing syntax of my previous statement. The multiplayer changes that carry over to the campaign in its updated state turns it flat-out into fake difficulty.
This is definitely at the top for me when it comes to C&C games. Although Tiberian Sun was really really good too with it's atmosphere.
So who else had a general sense of kleptomania and stealing enemy scvs to build the enemy factions stuff to assert dominance in this and red alert because thats like the main thing i do other then turtle.
Gotta be honest, i did that ool
It's so much fun to go and attack the enemy with their own weapons and tanks
Should I? Man, I bought entire C&C for like 5 bucks on Origin and first thing to do was complete whole GDI and NoD campaign on Hard. This game is absolutely perfect strategy of it's type, graphics are timeless and haven't aged even by a little, sound design and music are top tier.
Mechanics may be simple, but if you want more sophisticated, just go for Company of Heroes 1/2. And mods, especially Tiberium Essence...
ONE VISION, ONE PURPOSE!
great review. as an CNC fan Sins i was a little kid i loved all of them (besides tib wars 4 and past that). want to dive right back into the game (even if i have just played the red alert series again)
could the next review be red alert 2 or 3? would be great! love your vids
Cheers!
The next couple are already planned and in production - but don't worry. Red Alert 2 (and 3) won't be far away!
Played and loved Generals and Zero Hour over decades ago. I just recently started playing CNC 3 with Kane's Wrath and it's phenominal. It's like generals on steroids just set in the future. It feels like generals but some elements play more like the original Westwood titles. The tech tree, amount of units and challenge is fantastic. I think I might agree, this could be the best in the series. Even can be set to run at 2560 x 1080 on a ultrawide monitor and it looks amazing.
One of the few gripes I have against CnC3 is lack of game speed settings. Everything is a horrific rush, and lots of additional abilities don't make it any easier.
That, and how the Forgotten were downgraded to "small-brain Fallout supermutants with machineguns".
Otherwise, it holds well even a decade later.
One thing which set this game apart for me was the visual changes made by upgrades. Not only the obvious ones like rail guns or lasers, but also small ones like putting signature generators on the venoms, or the GDI infantry armor upgrade. Not only do most of the upgrades show visual changes, they also change the building which made the upgrades as well; aside from Scrin. Like, the GDI and Nod tech labs come with 4 slots for the 4 upgrades you can do on them.
The game also upgrades on the veterancy system, which is almost the same as in Generals - kill 3 times the unit cost to level up. In this game, doing damage can give promotions as well.
Where is Emperor Battle for dune ?.One of the best rts game ever.
One day - the list is long right now!
This was my first RTS and I loved it. I remember how the hours went by like minutes & I can still play this game today (2022) and still have a blast.
Yes to every command and conquer game out there
Everyone besides TIB wars 4 and beyond
@@Commando_M Its called TIberium Twilight and it was dog shit
Rivals is still fun, it boils all the fun of a PvP match to 3 minutes
@@andhikasoehalim3170 Rivals looks ok but I refuse to play c&c game that is filled with modern mobile gaming mechanics.
Watching this video almost had me tears, I used to play this 24/7 since i was 6 years old and cause of this video I had to buy the game again! Thank you author!
Happy to hear it mate, thank you for watching!
Anyone else impressed by the graphics? No? Just me?....
Ok...
I like them!
the graphics are good IMHO.
Nevermind...
I remember a map in multiplayer where you had to survive against the scrim horde mode. It was a great map
Are you planing in doing a Video about Red Alert 3?
P.s Nice Video.
Sure am - can't imagine it'll be too far away!
Zade Don’t forget the mods... of course, TS and RA2 engine is the most mod-friendly. I’m making my own mod right now
If you watched this and have an urge to play it, please do the CnC 3 community a favor and play some matches with us on CnC online.
For C&C4 please be neutral, and fair as possible, no bias etc.
Don't worry, that's the plan. I'd love to come out of it and say it's good!
I highly recommend it. You get control walkers, post-apocalypse people, aliens, suicide bombers, gundams, wormholes, teleporting, and carriers all on classic Red Alert mechanics! The graphics are still not outdated! You can play it on Origin for only $1 if you can finish the game in a month.
"Bury these fools!"
CnC3 was by far the pinnacle of CnC games, it was and still is incredible, a real pleasure to play and I love all the FMV cutscenes, a nice reward for playing the mission. 10/10 still play today.
This and RA3 are the last good C&C game by EALA before being shut down. RIP Westwood and EALA.
I've never payed RA3 (or any RA, actually) - so I'm keen to try it and RA2 out soon!
@@Zade_95 wtf no Red Alert at all?
@@Zade_95 Go for RA2 Yuri's revenge - its one of the best games ever made. RA3 is no bad but its no ware near the level of RA2. You will have the time of your life.
I know right. Don't worry, soon to be rectified!
The thing that got me hooked on tib wars is the better physics and destructo scenery and the walking fire mechanic where riflemen don't have to stop moving when to engage targets.
I'm with ya!
The only EA(LA) done right before the disaster which no one care about it.
Agree this series had its flaws [especially those babysitting moments of units not going on patrol themselves] but I do miss this series but will never play those lootboxes online crappy versions.
A little addendum and correction for what was said at about 11:40 .. C&C 3 is in fact still available on steam .. i bought it last April for nostalgia reasons
That's correct - my bad! The description has been updated :)
CNC3 is the greatest RTS game on earth.
C&C3 kane's wrath is :) But the base game is also fun.
Jordan Jacobii cnc3 TW>KW but it's a matter of preference. I play and enjoy both.
Neither are perfect but both are awesome. If TW had the community patches KW got, it'd be the perfect CNC game.
