I do think this is a neat way of doing things, I'm sure it ain't perfect but if it accelerates people into a losers bracket I don't think it's very unfair.
@@audiosurfarchive I will say that none of the players seemed to like the format very much, least of all Elpern who was whining quite a bit on stream. It's a loser's bracket so in my opinion you can't really complain *too* much if you already lost against your seeded opponent. I don't think team games are inherently fair but I think as a losers bracket it's tough to argue it's unfair--lowers your chances at a second shot against an opponent sure, takes it away unfairly though? Wouldn't say so.

Yeah for some reason these 1v1 players have no idea how to axis 4v4. The recent balancing that has reduced axis crutches means the usual cheesey crap of the last 5 months isnt as effective. Although for some reason these guys dont know how axis currently cheese in 4v4 because I've seen it myself in the games since the ridiculous hotfix. Goes to show how 1v1 players are just playing a different game from team game players, and strategies that work in 1v1 just dont transfer to 4v4 at all. Which is a big reason why balancing cant be solely based on 1v1.
@@Jgorinac nebel can be killed bombers cant... And nebel needs micro also nebel does not kill armor or its output damage is not as good as bombers no where near it...
@@zbigniew2628 that might seem like a good solution, but it would lead to relic having to keep track of balancing in different game modes (when they dont even seem capable of balancing things right now), and unintuitive gameplay for players because the same units would perform differently in different modes. The real answer is for Relic to take 3v3/4v4 balance seriously, and look at what aspects of factions are problematic in larger game modes where resources are more abundant, force multiplication is higher due to larger armies, and there is more focus on later game play (with spamming of crutchy as hell late game offmaps like we see in these 4v4s ) and things like turtle strategies with coastal reserves BG that arent as effective in smaller game modes.
