I didnt know a fan is not allowed to criticise or prefer different sides of the band.
I love this song. To me its the best since... i cant even tell. But the stuff i listen to on a regular basis will always be from the first 2 records.
That doesnt make me a fake fan. I own all their stuff but you cannot be as rampant and brutal with 45+ as you have been with 25.
Its just how it is. It doesnt make people fake but maybe its hard to let go of something so great that even the greatness that is slipknot right now, feels just a little shallow compared to what they used to be.

I love this song. I can really relate to it. I have spent my whole life with people who only pretended they cared for me. They acted like they cared but they didn't really care they were just being nice. I've delt with that for years.
I so sick of people being nice to me. I dont want people being nice to me I want honesty. Its like they would act like they were my friend and that they cared about me but then they stab me in the back and I found out they were only using me. Thank you slipknot this song really spoke to me.

Captured what it’s like growing up around (and being victimized by) an “open secret” perfectly. The worst part, for me, was always that the only people who could help me were pretending nothing was happening, even as they saw it go on. And they still pretend, even though now there’s no excuse for them not to know. Makes me feel like I’m going crazy.

Man, now that's my kind of poetry. Woo, slipknot never fails. Corey never fails.
People ask how I can be so in love with metal/heavy metal...and my response has always been “if you have to ask that, then you will never understand the answer.” We’re a different breed of human. I’m 35 now and Slipknot has ALWAYS been a big part of my life along with others. I first found out who they were in like 99 when I would hear my neighbor and his friends playing songs from Antennas to Hell album and I was immediately greeted with love and understanding I felt just from the sound and lyrics. First Slipknot concert I went to I remember Corey telling everyone that we are one big family and we have to stick together and love one another, look out for one another 🖤🤘🏼👹
