I had the pleasure of renting one for a week this summer. The sport mode was really punchy which was great in traffic but a little scary on twisty mountain roads. Still, my time with it has lead me to begin looking for one on used car sites.

The new mini JCWs maybe - as they will share this powertrain. Don't dismiss the M35i - its a pretty impressive vehicle. Utility, and easily over 30 mpgs on the highway...all while doing a 0-60 in 4.6 seconds.

In sport mode, very firm. Otherwise, medium firm.

I'd take a Golf R over this. Better and about half the price.
