This was part of my training by session in Tampa Florida featuring 4 dogs. Main star Baron the German Shepherd is very reactive towards other dogs and pulls aggressively on the leash prior to meeting Dog Daddy.
Ghost an insecure, previously abused husky mix
And Luna also a mix breed with insecurity issues with strangers and other dogs.
I am currently training around the country to meet clients like these in the video.
If you’re interested in getting your dogs trained by me.
Below is a list of cities that I am headed to next.

I trained my dog with a spray bottle. He don't like water
@@jeanodett4250why would you spray a dog with a water bottle 😮
Sorry that there are some people below that are disrespectful of your training methods. And judging you without participating in the class . Continue as you do. I admire you ❤️.
Miracles every time
This guy is amazing in his ability to read dog’s and exactly what he needs to do with each one to train them. The dog is happier and so is the owner. Perfection.
Wow! he only had the black shepherd’s leash for 5 minutes and the dog’s whole behavior changed😂😂😂He is a awesome trainer!!!
But did you notice the dogs body language. From aggressive and terrified, to simply terrified. Awful training. Feel terrible for that dog. It's like being shouted at to stop crying when you're sobbing. Yes you might stop crying but you don't feel any better. It's a sticking plaster not a long term solution
@@lisakitteridge8439 agree. Dog didn't look that has actually in the initial part of the video. Edited nonsense and bad advice.
@@lisakitteridge8439 a dog in that agressive/reactive mind state will not listed to nice words or positive reinforcement. Obviously will be hard and even scary the first times they get corrected and confronted in that distubed state.
@@Edith.G.G. I have a reactive dog so totally know in that heightened state he won't respond to positive reinforcement techniques, but punishing him further for an emotional reaction he can't help won't work long term either. Need to work with him when he's in a calmer more receptive state. This type of training (punish during an emotional reaction) will simply make the whole experience even more negative for the dog and create even more negative associations for the already terrified dog.
@@lisakitteridge8439 you're wrong. You should watch more of his videos especially those where he train dogs long term.
After a few days the dog is not scare anymore and way more confident, calm, happy and also in trust with him.
I am struck by number of people who appear detached from the training process. They appear more interested in DD “fixing it” than wanting to learn how to be a more effective dog owner.
It's scary how many people have these big dogs that they cannot control.
Insane. And absolutely irresponsible.
All I can do is muzzle mine when we go around other dogs. Or keep him home. I miss going on hikes and to the park and rivers like I did with my last dog I had for 15 years. Not everyone has dealt with dog aggression or in my case dog reactivity as he is pretty great with humans I watch these videos and have worked the last 6 months with no luck
@@gennygurl8080take it to the dog daddy ❤
Because they get them small and cute.
Thousands of hours of experience and excellent technique. Great to see. 👍
The dog's instantly know that the dog daddy knows what he is doing. It's awesome. ❤️💯👍👍🐕🦺
Always giving lots of information, different ideas and perspectives. Basically teaching the owners how to be dog trainers themselves 😉
The lady’s expression though!😂😂😂 Thank your dog daddy. I’ve learned so much from your channel!!!
your technique is phenomenal, I love your energy and character. I said it before to you and your staff, My love a nd prayers to you always.
He's a man who deals in facts which produces results (ex. prong collar). If you attempt to train in feelings ( oh the prong collar might hurt my baby dog) it'll be a longer-term dismal training affair.
Right!!
3:35 It's so funny to watch people just stand there in shock that a complete stranger can command their dogs obedience and they as the owner cannot. Here's to hoping she's got her dogs' respect now!
Yes! I think it's 2:55 though.
One thing I see in common for all dog owners of dogs that act like this one does is they are reactive. They're not proactive. They're not leaders with their dogs. They nag and get frustrated. The dogs tune them out.
The other thing I've learned and noticed, there are some dog owners who do high pitched "Oh poor baby" type talk to their dogs, and the dogs respond with a lot of whining, and some get all hyped up with it.
My sister's prior dog used to do this with me. I can't remember how it started, but I think I may have stepped on her foot or something. Anyway when I came over, I would give a drawn out greeting, making her the focus, and speaking in a higher pitched voice. Not something I normally did with dogs, and not the ones I owned, but it was just something I would do with her for whatever reason. The more often I did it the more whiney and excitable she was. One day I decided I needed to just stop doing it (no instant greeting, no high pitched talk, and no attention when she whined), and she pretty much changed almost instantly.
😂I love it
Everyone will say he abuses dogs ,,,, NO PEOPLE HES A TRAINER ! He knows what's he's doing
I agree, he knows what he is doing!
Please start using a lapel mic, or put closed captions on.
Unless I blast the sound I can't hear.
Same here.

OK I'm about 90 seconds in and DDs absolute confidence with a strange dog amazes me! DD don't play!
I am working towards that confidence with my own recue dogs!
I would feel insecure too with the haircut of the last dog 😅 jokes aside, great job!
As they say in GTA V.... that dog has a "yee yee ass" haircut.
Lmao, "yeah I would not be on your phone" like obviously girl, you ain't even paying attention to the master dog trainer right in front of you to soak up this knowledge! Of course put your phone down, can't believe they had to tell her.
"Dog training" should be renamed "people training" imo...
She was filming DD.
Best guide ever. I follow you on youtube and get really good tips. Sometimes it´s very hard to hear what you say. Can you please get a little mic soo i can hear you. It sometime wery loud and vice verca.

6:06 after seeing that reaction from luna, as soon as dd asked when she got the dog or where, i knew where he was going with those questions. feels like luna has a bit of trauma...as for where or how ,who knows, hope it wasn't from the owners tho.
Wow owesome, what a great trainer. I'm so impressed.
Why is it in this world when someone like Dog Daddy is successful in his craft, do people come out of the wood
work to criticize? Jealousy, ignorance??
Dog owners don’t pay 1500.00 for a private session for nothing.
Darn, wish we could get you a wireless mike. Between the running water and you talking to them in person, could barely hear you. Have to choose watching and giving up on hearing, or putting my ear to the microphone to try to hear you and not being able to see what is going on...🎄 is coming in almost 6mths 😉, you should ask for a wireless mike.
This powerful dog who's entirely desensitized to any communication the owner gives w/the painful, choke chain needs to be introduced to a properly fitted prong collar that's used by a professional handler, until the owner has been taught how to use the collar correctly in order to communicate effectively w/her dog so she can actually get some true training time in w/her dog herself.
The first effective training session w/the prong collar can be emotional & freeing for the owner, as well as the dog. The owner's fear of hurting their dog & tensions surrounding the reactions, tantrums & eventual submission of their dog to the professional handler's instructions using the prong collar can be shocking, a highly emotional & major stress relieving experience for the owner. In fact, the dissipation of the adrenaline released into her system due to the huge battles to control her dog can even cause tears & the release of very strong emotions. Ultimately the dog owner will be exhausted. The dog & professional handler will will be tired & relaxed having learned a great deal about how to understand each other. Sufficient for the first lesson & intro to the new tool.
I've had Rottweilers and German Shepherds, and German Shepherds are one of the BEST 💕🐾🐾💕

My American bully is like this, always ready to charge another dog, very frustrating, not even a prong collar helps, not sure what to do anymore. 😔
Try n hook up with Dog Daddy!@@
Well I live in Houston, the closest he has gone is Austin, trust me I’m trying to get his help
Owner is amazed :)
Is he missing part of his index finger or does he fold it around that far to hold the pick?
I started prong collar training yesterday. Leave its going ok ,he's still pulling, but he's so stubborn I can't get him to sit outside at all. Inside he knows different commands. But will not do them outside. I don't know how to fix that part. He's not focused outside
U save ppls beloved pets from being abandoned bc ppl can't deal with the dog

we're three minutes into the video and that dog had zero reaction to another dog lunging at them. insane.

What kind of prong collar dog daddy uses? I would like to buy one for my dog
Consider working on your verbal dialogue to be as clear cut and precise to the owners as your beautiful training. It's too talk for me to absorb and I'm watching to learn. Meant only to be helpful. You're Great

What kind of collar was he first wearing? Thought it might have been a poorly fitted choke chain.
Prong collars are fine but my American bull pit mix has no felling in his neck he will just pull no mater what until I say good damn it
Hi
the woman does not know how to handle a dog on leash.... incorrect collar, no leash holding skills, no basics at all. The dog is a dog... untrained and doing what it does with no leader.
Yup the dog is really stubborn because of the owner
@@Baneness I disagree... the dog has an ignorant owner, but the dog is not 'stubborn'
That pinch thing does NOT work for my puppy…no matter how hard I do it she doesn’t care?!

The owner is definitely untrained on how to use the leash on her end.
Try to improve the camera view, we don't get to understand the context of the dogs' actions.
wth with that girl? are you holding dog or playing with mobile!
Dog owner in the background "sorryyyyy". None of these ppl should have dogs v
😂
If I got that for my dog will it be ok
why did the black dog's owner walk up to the other dog who came at her dog
The dog looked pretty playful. Was not fully reactive. Would have probably been improved with some parallel walking and obedience. No need for the prong.
How many dogs have you trained?
@@smylyface loads.
That may have helped the two particular dogs coexist more smoothly but would not have addressed the core problem, which owner not being able to manage the dog well. The prong lets that owner, in particular, begin a new way of communicating to that dog and gets the dog to start minding the owner. That goes beyond walking alongside a particular dog and will help the owner manage that dog better in all situations.
What is a prong collar please? I can see what it's function is, so please don't tell me why it's used, but what it actually is?
Google it. It's a spiked collar that digs into the dogs neck when tightened. It's cruel, aversive. I'd like to see the trainer wear it!
@@lisakitteridge8439 oh no!! I did worry it would be something like that. How vile 😟 I would have thought with them being illegal here in England, they would definitely be banned in America.
I just said the same. I don't think that this man needs to use them. I think they are cruel. StaySafeAll&Blessings🦋
It’s a tool used to apply even pressure across the neck to give a lot more information to the dog then a flat collar can being that it applies all the pressure to the trachea and can severely damage it. Tools can be used correctly or incorrectly. A fist can be abuse, yelling can be abuse, not training your dog is abuse, teaching your dog with a prong collar properly is not abuse
@@jordanalliger3117 and is much safer and compassive for an agressive/ anxious/reactive dog to be trained some time with the appropriate use of a prong collart, than live years and years in that panic mindset, fighting and suffering around every dog or person they come across.
Take the prog off and work then...youll have the same dog like before. That doesn't resolve the problem on long run!
you need to watch his other videos where he doesn't use prong collars and just use the collars that the dogs are already using
Everyone wants that quick fix & not put the real work in. Dog will go back to its old ways if owner gets lazy again.
And then they can't control theor dogs and sets a bad example for us who kmow
Are prong collars hurtful?
Not if used correctly
Nope
It applies pressure around the whole neck whereas a choke chain or regular collar can damage the trachea when dog pulls.
Honest question, what is a prong collar ?
A prong collar is a tool for correcting a dog's behavior in a more direct way than a flat collar.
I've just asked this question too, I am curious also. I can see what it's use is, but what it actually physically is?
I'm from UK and have never seen one, but have heard of them on these type of videos.
A prong collar is a collar with double prongs around most of the circumference. When the dog is given a correction, it gives even pressure of the prongs (some are made with blunt tips, others not) around his neck - just behind the ears ( a sensitive area). Because it is made like a martingale, when the correction is stopped (that's why he only gives a quick jerk) the feeling goes away. Problem is, many dogs will work through the discomfort when they are ramped up. It is almost always very effective the first time used. If he learns from it, it is an extremely effective training aid - and is only needed as re-enforcement occasionally (no discomfort unless he does it to himself - pulling, etc). Many dogs just don't care over time if the training didn't stick.
Wow she really shouldn't have a dog she can't control.
Theirs a reason dogs are called man’s best friend, everyone who you help is usually a woman or some beta man
the prong collar is pain and fear, not communication. Violence is your only tool. Dogs deserve better
Right first of all he has no experience at all he is abuses to the dogs no more how he does the training he abused the dogs
Keep up the great work you do with these dogs...you change their lives for the better.
Did that last white one had little kids around him who found a hairclipper quite interesting?! 😂😂😂
It's about time that the world realizes all these dog owners that fail these people also probably had children's they're just as much a failure to hence the world we live in it doesn't take rocket science to figure this out
