My dad got a 330i when it was just released and coming from a Panamera, he really misses nothing and quite enjoys the BMW. Way more advanced technology, enough space, better build quality and the engine is amazing. When you do a 80-120 you can really feel the torque, it just pulls effortless. You really don‘t need to buy the 340i unless you really want the inline 6. He got the full M Package with M Interior and exterior, M brakes, M Wheels in Dravit Grey and it looks absolutely beautiful.

When I have driven them in the past, I have to admit that I conclude that they are totally adequate even in a 5 Series for today's driving environment. Yeah, it is nice to have the I6 power when the car is fully loaded or passing on the highway, but not totally necessary. M5 and M3 seem like overkill, in comparison. I do like how BMW is rather reverting to its pre-M heritage and allowing customers to specify performance enhancements like LSD, larger brakes and LSD on more reasonably powered cars. This improves their performance credibility as a car maker in my eyes. And yes, there needs to be a switch on the exhaust enhanced audio to disable it. It is rather like inserting a playing card in the spokes of a bicycle wheel; juvenile. When I am cruising at speed on the highway, all I want my loudspeakers to be reproducing is music, not additional artificial noise.
Some people want every car that is fancy to have a sound that is aggressive in sport mode.I think that everything is acceptable except that autonomous driving that will exterminate even gas pedals or breaks or shift pedals,i just hope that wont be gone soon.

@@pelicanmir Recently traded it in for a slightly younger G21 m340i as I needed more space.. and a bit more power doesnt hurt either ;) However, I drove the 330i to just over 100K KM and had zero issues with it other than normal wear that is to be expected. From my exeperience it is a very reliable car.
With regards to 4:30 - the main difference between BMW and Mercedes philosophies is that for Mercedes, their most important model is the S class; for BMW, it is the 3 series. That's why new features are often introduced in the 3 series first.

My only complains are the new cockpit display that looks in my opinion worse than Audi and MB and the fact that it do not mirror Android phones. But the drive experience compensates them kkkkk! By the way, a friend of mine complains a little about the shift gear delay, mainly in reductions. Do you agree? What's your opinion?
I tested a 330 M sport. It was ok good but sound level was high and ofcourse the suspension hard to get much comfort. For most people normal chassi will suit better.
I have owned this car since it rolled off the factory. Been a fantastic, beautiful ride but I am letting it go soon for the new CLA AMG models. After driving a new E400 I was hooked.
35 or 45 amg? CLA has a good design, but very little space inside comparing to 3 series. And worst of all, no one can sit behind you no matter how small you are. I test drove the first gen and liked the design and the pull of the engine, but that rear seat space was a deal breaker for me.
Lovely, would prefer the 4-series Gran Coupe though. Looking fwd to G-generation of that car. This particular color combination of exterior and interior is absolutely beautiful though. Love it!
Yes we all do, but future generations wont even know what a petrol or diesel engine is some day so we have to be greatful for that the big car makers are doing their best to make the conventional cars be here as much time as possible...better have 4 cyl petrol or diesel engine in a real car than a box sold as a car with a toothbrush motor that must be charges every 1h/10km whatever comes first xD
Before the 330i I drove the 320i 184HP with 290Nm tork… but the 2020 330i model is far better than the 320i in terms of handling, speed etc. If you can afford it than I definitely recommend the 330i high executive (with M sport package)
Interesting how in the EU markets you can get the M-Sport Pack. with the 18” wheels. We get those wheels here in the US market with the base Sport Line, and the M-Sport gets two variants of 19” wheels. My preference is either of the 19” TBH but it’s interesting nevertheless
Camera was a bit off at some times but the car made it worth watching! Capped speed at 261 but seemed like it would keep going. Is there no way to disable all the fake sounds if you use some clever tricks??
Hey Max, a good review but spoilt by the head mounted video which looks like it is mounted on a passing seagull giving unusual proportions to the car and everything else.
Easy, Alfa Romeo Giulia Veloce 2.0T 280 bhp. A bit quicker to 100 than the BMW, with higher discounts than both the Kia and the BMW, and arguably more beautiful in Misano Blue.

The headcam is aimed downwards just a little too much, I can't help myself from finding it very annoying
I think if the headcam is placed a bit higher you would see roof because windshield is sharp and car is slammed and long its not an SUV.

M Sport option is a real differentiator with seats, springs, dampers, brakes, differential and other parts being unique to the package.

Its an option. There is a spots-line package as well as a m-line package.
