If regional people stayed in the same place and did not migrate than having languages bound to regions is possible. When local population migrates, there needs to be a common thread, that today is English and Hindi followed by the regional language. Anyways, the way technology is changing the way day's, the best possible way to preserve the language, may teaching it or using technology to ensure people can also use it. Conversion of same can also be done with the help of tech. Personally, discussing more creative ideas is, more important. Than discussing limited ideas in many languages.

I'm from Mirzapur of UP. But IDK why govt lists these languages in hindi. Some of these languages are born along with kauravi ( Hindi ) from prakrit apbhransh and some are far different than hindi like kumauni and garhwali. We love Hindi but we also want our regional languages to be preserved. Sate governments are totally neglecting regional languages. It's duty of us and the government to preserve our regional languages. Hindi is the language which unites us all with a very emotion otherwise we also would had language war like in South. Today we relate more to our northeast than south because of hindi. Please people of North, it is request to preserve your regional languages and don't fight on the basis of language. English as a second language is better only for employment but it can't unite us with emotions and love like hindi. So please don't hate Hindi. One thing I want to add.. languages seem similar because of the proximity of their regions like Punjabi to haryanavi, haryanavi to kauravi, kauravi to Braj and Kannauji, and awadhi , awadhi to Bagheli and Bhojpuri, bhojpuri to maithili and Magahi, and then to brajubali, brajubali to Bengali, Bengali to Assamese etc. hilly regions have proximity to plains but the trade and relations between the people are less that's why they are different. Garwali , kumauni , Nepali are more similar but not awadhi or maithili. There are dense forests between UP and Nepal that's why People didn't relate with eachother and so did awadhi and Nepali.

They thought it was an imposition but it wasn't... I'm a gujarati and I've learnt Hindi, English, Gujarati and sanskrit in my academics... Although I know 4 languages... It's sometimes difficult to connect with a south indian person... Either they are facing problems in english or they don't know any of the other 3 languages which I know... Some good minds debate like you also learn a south indian language... But you see a guy who knows 4 languages... Is it right to ask these kinds of things... I don't have any problem learning a south indian language but can you give me an assurance that If I learn kannada, Tamil and Malayali speaking populations can understand my words?... No one can give... But I can give you an assurance that if you learn hindi you can come to Gujarat, you can connect with any literate or illiterate person... You'll not face any difficulties... If I'm that sure in my words then I can ask you to learn a language which can connect you to the mass majority... Please understand... We're not hating any language... We're just asking for a little adjustment from your side...
If kids in South India have to study 📖 📓 😪 a language they don't understand and find it difficult to memorise till Secondary / Higher secondary, what about the North Indian East -West Indo-Aryan language family speakers? They have no issue learning Hindi that's because they are all related. And the North was ruled by Mughals who had Hindustani [A mixed language that had Arabic-Persian-Khariboli & prakrit languages spoken in the Northern parts of Hindustan [Present day North India]) So shall we conclude that the North Politicians impose one language policy/ imposition over South. It's not the same 🫤 isn't it? Kids should not be bullied 😤 for the politics of Hindi imperialism. Kids need good & compulsory quality education without burden. Language is something that even a blue-collar worker or a food cart entrepreneur who moves to South/North from his hometown without learning the language in school 🏫 learns for survival. It has nothing to do with patriotism. Every language speaker , be it Tamil - Kannada - Telugu - Malayalam, is eligible for patriotism.@@pavansstatus2592

While regional language gives you an identity, official language make sure that wherever you move throughout the country, be it for employment, study or anything, you should face less or no difficulty on the basis of language. Aapko shayad problem na ho, par jin logo ko bihar chhod kar dusre jagaho pe kaam dhundhne jana pdta hai, unse puchho ki Hindi ke official language hone se kitna aasan hota hai unke liye North ke kisi bhi sheher me basna. We can't say same about states in south because of obvious region. Preservation of language is done on ground level, by people of the land themselves. Govt act on higher level. Dono chize hi alag hai. Agar hum hi apne bacho ko apni bhasha nahi sikhaenge phir isme kisi aur ki kya hi galti.

If regional people stayed in the same place and did not migrate than having languages bound to regions is possible.
When local population migrates, there needs to be a common thread, that today is English and Hindi followed by the regional language.

The Bhojpuri speakers in our country is more than 50 million
It has its own script ( kaithi ),
Its own vocabulary.
But still govt. is not adding this language in the scheduled language list.
People are saying that bhojpuri is the dialect of hindi.
you can google about the history of both bhojpuri and hindi.
Hindi was developed nearly 700-800 years ago while bhojpuri was developed 1300-1400 years ago.
The main reason the govt is not adding bhojpuri in the scheduled language because it will decrease the Hindi speaking population with a big margin. And that will decrease the dominance of Hindi.
Fun fact - bhojpuri grammar was written in 1915, 2 year before hindi, and the original bhojpuri version was even older
You are right, the same applies for magahi also but government also didn't recognise magahi as our official scheduled language

Hindi opposition started from 1930's in Tamilnadu
If kids in South India have to study 📖 📓 😪 a language they don't understand and find it difficult to memorise till Secondary / Higher secondary, what about the North Indian East -West Indo-Aryan language family speakers? They have no issue learning Hindi that's because they are all related. And the North was ruled by Mughals who had Hindustani [A mixed language that had Arabic-Persian-Khariboli & prakrit languages spoken in the Northern parts of Hindustan [Present day North India])
So shall we conclude that the North Politicians impose one language policy/ imposition over South.

Apart from all this its also known and discovered that how different language stimulate brain differently, for example you showed that many songs from different languages are still remembered while their hindi counterparts are forgotten, I'm from chhattisgarh, even though I can't speak it, i only speak and learnt hindi, listening to chhattisgarhi have a calming effect for me, each language invoke different emotions, some too strongly, some very weak, scientific research on this is very less done, but there are some which also proves the same, i was reading how Einstein discovered many theories, and since he was from Germany, and german have different meaning for same word, so it might be possible that Einstein discovered all those things only because he thought in that language, same is case with people in various different fields, we must preserve them

You're hating on Hindi, while "proudly" writting it in English. Bhai humhu bhojpuri bolile lekin bolchal ke bhasha (regional language) aur kaam kre ke bhasha (official language) me bahut farq hola.

Yeh just like china promote their Mandarin language over the china and same russia and europe their imposed their standard language over their every country region for sake communication
Exactly. I am not against regional languages but I feel like every state should promote regional languages and should make regional language as the official language. but at the same time every one should learn Hindi. As there should be a common language of communication in the country. The language should be an Indian language and not the Western one.

Being a half gadhwali i think hindi is blessing to india . In uttarakhand , Rajasthan, MP ,UP, Bihar, chattisgarh , arunachal . Language changes from village to village, tribe to tribe . Hindi is just abridge to connect with villages , tribes . Even english can also be the same , but from the mughals time hindi and urdu were used to interconnect with community and these 2 languages were origionated in india .
Even in maharashtra, marathi is also different from community to community. Kokani is different, malvani is different , ghati is different , agri style marathi is different .
