All around fantastic day. The track was intimidating at first but we settled in pretty quick. Great time trying to figure out a different layout and just all around different style of driving on a wood track. Really enjoyed spending time catching up with the guys and meeting new friends. Butch did an amazing job building this track
Great looking track, nice flow to drive! And yes, wooden tracks are completly different when it comes to the setup of a car!!!!!
@@twolinesslotcars gears and weight distribution on the chassis make a huge difference to the performance
Wow nice dedicated track, finally a face to go with your brother 👍 hey Dusty 👋 looked like a great day .
We had an awesome day! Got about 1000 laps in with a bunch of cars.. too much fun!
Yeah sorry to ruin all that. Lol. That track was an absolute blast. And yes, it was a great day of slot car racing and catching up with buddies and meeting new ones.
Marty ...that track is awesome 👌 i love the elevation to the straight . If i had an almost perfect track this would be it , looked like a great day out for you guys and a healthy McDonald's too 🤭😁
Breakfast of Champions !
I liked Jack Daniels too! But it's not just a Breakfast drink anymore.
lovely track !...smooth silent and fast cars...love that Malboro livery though Ive never owned nor run a RevoSlot car yet
It is a fantastic track! You can't go wrong with the Revoslots.. fun cars, easy to tune and you can really throw them around the track.
Very cool to be invited to joint like that. Amazing almost sterile looking, in a good way. So much envy it's almost a sin Lol. Thanks for sharing this footage. Otherwise who knew.
Great stuff! If I'm not mistaken, this may be the build I saw take shape on an HRW thread. What a beautiful result. Commercial setup meets home racing! Looks like a blast fellas!
G'day Marty very nice wooden track, must be beautiful to drive on , we had swap meet here in Melbourne, pick up couple great bargains
I love the dark racing…
Sat May 6 I was about 80 miles west of my home. I was at one of my friends ranch putting together firework shoot racks. Only 419 remain. UGH. lol Wooden tracks always look their best in person! Sweet.
Great runnin with you guys,...this is my favorite spot on earth right now, butch is a great guy, always a good time...and such a stellar track and facility.
wow-Marty Ford on the road- love it! Great job. ! So guess its about time to go get some prices on lumber- huh ?
Really get to stretch a cars legs on a track like that.....cool.
@@swmarb5236 Butch tan some cars that were 12/32 that were fast and handled amazingly well… they were cars he built for the Michigan 24… we kicked the lights off and ran some night racing..awesome
Glad you made it out to Butch’s! Hope you’re able to make it back for the May 20th race!
Budslots I am not sure if we can make it down for that.. would be a lot of fun!
That's one practical, easy clean wood track. Rural Ohio 'rocks' and you guys are putting it on the map :)
Darren.. it was fast and a lot of fun. Would love to see the hobby take off again here in Ohio!
WOW! I did not think we had any large wooden tracks left in Ohio. I (we) could all use a slot car room that size. Was Dusty's new Porsche 911 GT1 the Revo Slot edition?
I’ve had that Revo for a little while but it is a great running car. Ran great on this track without any tuning change from our home track
@@DustyFord I have been looking at the #17 GT1 that has the black rear. 17 is an important number to me, that being my son's BD in March.
@@DustyFord I e only run the GT 1 ,Fly version... horrible performer regardless of my most diligent enhancements...is that one competitive with the other cars?...I'm wondering if the problem is that model or jus Fly is a Fly
We used too have one where I live Thay shut it down over 20 year's ago
Oh man I wish there were still places like this around here….
Peter.. there are still great tracks out there… just hard to find sometimes
Cowabunga!!!! What a beautiful layout! What an honor to race on that track! Thanks for the great footage!!! Do you know what program he uses for the track counter and timing?
He is using Lapmaster. It is a fantastic track! Thankful I had the opportunity to race on it.
Thank you for the reply, I have been watching your videos since you started into the hobby. You have a great layout and you make great video content. Thank you.
@@KenJencks thanks for the kind words! I appreciate being a part of this community.
