Hello Agnes you are very welcome! I usually follow LPC cam 1 but with this season - we may not have a hatch due to the new Mom not incubating her egg at night. We shall see - it may still hatch....This nest has some incredible views!!

I love the loons too and even though the watching period for the loons is short (like the goslings that jump) we get to enjoy this tranquil beautiful place and hear their wails and yodels and see the fuzzy little hatchling swimming after Mom and Dad!! There can be some drama so we always have to be prepared for that too! It is a great ride! ♥Happy 4th of July to you too!
The loon leaving the nest has orange and black dot on the left leg, so is according to the description the male. The arriving loon is the female. But it really doesn’t matter. What matters is that both are 2 beautiful caring parents and partners.
