One of your best videos ever! As always……THANK YOU for this traffic light treat!!!!!! 🚦🚦🚦 it’s kind of sad as the old signals go but the installation portion was very entertaining to watch!
I love the great video! But just wondering why replacement was necessary, as the original signals look to be in great shape, and they are on the same poles as the old lights, just a bit higher up is all.
I didn't think these signals will get an upgrade honestly but I think they're trying to use the new system in the controller cabinets because they communicate with the other Traffic Lights better
Hi there ! I"ve been noticing lately they been ungrading their signals to econolite instead of their usual durasigs in the whole michgan area. Just wondering do you think they're gona keep producing econolite or durasigs?
@@DeTrafficStreetBeatz The former director of MDOT took a position with Econolite a few years back. As a result, the agency buys from both Siemens and Econolite and it seems that other local agencies are permitted to do so also.
So what exactly is going on here.....the original lights are still functional. Are they being replaced because of "sponsorship" or something? Here in Ohio, we have what we have until a major upgrade to the intersection itself.
@@DeTrafficStreetBeatz It just seems kind of a waste. I think the oldest lights I have in my city are from 1994 now. I have four intersections containing those lights (out of 24 total), but some of the lights were changed to doghouses and extra directions added...so there are mixed types. We had a few replaced in 2007-2008, but mostly bulbs replaced with the LEDs back then.
im really sad that one of the rarest traffic signals in my area all incandescent (all traffic lights incandescent) and they were on rusty poles and so its sad they replaced a entire intersection here with crappy new led lights and they suck. this all happened because of construction and i hate construction. anyways great video

Your welcome 😊 so glad you enjoyed 🚦
Finally caught them in the act! Nice one!
Thanks 😉 🚦
Nice! I thought there were a lot heavier, dude handled the thing with one hand like it was nothing.
There pretty light not heavy at all I used to think the same thing 😉
then again, these are polycarbonate signals, not the aluminum ones.
I'm so jealous of you, because the nearest traffic signal replacement project is more than 5 miles away from me.
Sweet More Eagle Durasig Traffic Lights 😍

Not sure but I been seeing a lot of econolite signals lately so I would assume that's what they are going with

i always thought the traffic lights were small cause of how people see them from far away but i realized that's not the case

Whats with the new crosswalk siginals…
Sad to see the Durasigs are going
I wonder how they put the wires underground
From what I seen they use the manhole covers on the ground

Thanks really appreciate it it is sad that happened in your area what kind of signals was it?
also the rusty poles last a long time and won't fall even if they are rusty.
@@DeTrafficStreetBeatz
I think it was an eagle button back but it isn't the common version like the smooth one. also there might be durasig
they were actually some really rare incandescent fortrans traffic lights and there were some durasig traffic lights
Can I keep the old light
One of the workers may be nice and give you one or they may laugh in your face 🤣 😔
