  • The final day of the tour! It's been a cracking roadtrip. I finally leave the last campsite of the tour and head over some fantastic roads to finally get home.

    From one Yorkshireman to another, you lucky b*stard. I always thought that the run out to Whitby was the best scenery you could find on a bike but you've just dispelled that myth by a mile. seriously though, this has been one of the very best series of touring videos I've ever seen, so many, many thanks for posting these, they're certainly inspirational.

    An honest and unassuming series of videos that I really enjoyed. Thank you for sharing the trip with us. Inspired me to do a longer than usual weekend trip last week; only 500 or so miles, nothing like yours but it's a start! Ride safe

    An awesome series ....I watched all the episodes today!! Thank you for sharing the Ups...and the Downs....an honest and open account of the whole trip, Wow!! Were you lucky with the weather or what....I bet Richy Vida is watching this thinking.... " If only...." If you think you tested your waterproofs...just watch his series again! Just a quick shout out to that Parts guy back in the early days who managed to find that clutch lever that basically saved your trip.....I used to work in Car Parts....and I bet that took a lot of work for him to find that replacement....also the tyre guy that stayed over to help you out... these are the guys that make it possible to finish these trips. What an amazing series in such a phenomenal country I had no idea how beautiful norway is until I saw your videos you truly have inspired me to do this trip myself and I can't wait to do so thanks for sharing this experience with all of us that have been lucky enough to come across them I think I speak for more people than just myself when I say that we are just as sad that your trip has ended as you are haha and did come to a close under standing on how much this trip had costed other than your £1000 estimate

    After trips all over Europe- this Spring went down to the Douro Valley- the troops were asking where to next. I said Norway as I thought it looked a bit of a challenge from the UK. All the ferries have ended so I was a bit disheartened as its a long slog from the Channel. However I happened on this set of videos and I am so delighted, it looks like just up our strasse so to speak. It's a definite and if possible we will have a try for the North Cape. Great effort and much appreciated.

    Thanks so much for this series, wow, what a great job of showcasing the country, along with your commentary, it was just thrilling to watch start to end. I was inspired by how hospitable the service shops were at getting you back on the road. The editing was spot on, thoroughly enjoyed every minute of every days post. Although I have done some touring, this is truly an adventure that would set the bar high. Thanks again for your post,I am headed to Scandinavia this early fall and now I have a much better idea of some places to go, cheers

    Great series - nice to see a trip of this magnitude done on an affordable bike instead of the mega-dollar high end bikes that are out of reach for so many of us. Has opened my eyes to the capabilities of the GSX650F & moved it up the right up the list for my next bike.

    Fantastic series of vids, it's taken a few weeks of lunch breaks to get from start to finish. Norway is high on my 'must visit' list. With lower speed limits than the UK I should be fine on my Honda CBR250R. It got me from Southampton to the far north of Scotland and back in three and a half days last July. I just need to be able to leave my family and shop for a little longer. Thanks again for all the work you put into this series.

    Good review of Norway, roads, people and so many reasons to visit, I think you covered most of the places I visited in 2014/16 and this year in one trip. If you manage one trip out before returning to uk try the the new 'panorama' holiday route.
    From Skei E39 to Gasemyr camping (recommended) carry on to Lote but as you leave the ferry, 40 metres, turn sharp right, the 613 to Stryn, ( www.visitnorway.com/listings/nordfjord-panorama/3598/ ) then loop back Gasemyr via Olden, Innvik and Utvik

    exelent videos of your trip, could be a future trip I think. a map of your rout would be usful along with costings for food camping and fuel

    • @UneasyRider
      @UneasyRider  6 років тому +1

      Hiya Gordon. Check out www.uneasyrider.co.uk i spent about 1000GBP over the whole 12 days which also included ferries. I spent about 20 GBP or 200 NOK on fuel each day. Food was just snacks on route until i ate a big meal in the evening which would be around 30GBP. If you just double the price of things from uk prices you can't go far wrong. Fuel is cheaper than uk prices though.

    I enjoyed your adventure very much!! I live in California and always have wanted to go to Norway! You have shown that it is a wonderful place to visit and I will be coming out sometime soon! Riding the Alps this Summer! Could you tell me if you see a lot of wildlife like deer, elk, even bears there? Also what kind of elevation are the mountains there? Great job on filming and editing! Hope you enjoyed your fizz at the end of the trip! Cheers! Russ

      Hiya Russ. Cheers for watching and thanks for the message. I loved the trip and its well worth doing. No elk or bears unfortunately. I think you have to go further north even over to Finland for those. The highest I climbed on the trip was approx 1,476 m climbing up to dalsnibba overlooking Geirangerfjord.

    But I'm a bit sorry to see that you missed out on one of Norways greatest motorcycle roads on your trip...
    The Fv 17 (Steinkjer - Bodø), is a fantastic alternative to the boring E6,
