- Come for a pov video of the ride vampire at Chessington World Of Adventures on the 11th row. I use my gopro 8 black to record this ride. This video was taken on the first day of the 2019/2020 season. This was my first ever roller coaster I went on, I remember thinking it was the scariest thing I could do, until I got on and now I'm hooked on roller coasters!
same here!! I remember being creeped out at the themed stuff on the way to the coaster but man this made me feel like such a big kid afterwards haha. I must've been 7 or 8
Me too!! I was so scared to go on this, but after I did I felt so brave, and now I love rollercoasters. This was one of the first rollercoasters I have been on
It was mine too when I was only 11 and on a school trip. I didn't want to look scared in front of my friends so they dragged me on this and I've been hooked on coasters since!

The thing that started my entire rollercoaster obsession was my first ever coaster, megafobia at Oakwood in wales ) I used to count it as scorpion express at chessington but I don’t view that as like a proper rollercoaster

One of those rides that convince you that your basically going to hit every object that you come close to on the circuit.

Rode it a few times it's a little on the tame side for myself but it's still a decent rollercoaster
I went to chessington a few weeks ago but I was too scared to do vampire and any big sorta rides but me and my bestfriend are going in like 2 weeks and we agreed to do vapire and most of the big rides and seeing these povs have helped me and I’m literally now obsessed with watching them 😂

I am going to chessington for my year 6 trip in june. One of the rides in chessington mentioned was the vampire.

Top tip for riding vampire…. Go at the end of the day the queue is 20 minutes maximum
This ride would have been perfect if it had 1 or 2 inversions
I went on this when I was 6 and was terrified and will be going on this for the second time in a few day!

For those who don’t know the ride goes up to 45 mph
My cousin went on it and she is 4yrs and she cried on it , I was on with her I am 15 and I was laughing so hard ( ik I am late but idc

Is this ride painful or scary for someone who hates like all rides at thorpe park??
I do t find it scary of painful I think you will enjoy it

Chessington is nowhere near as good as Thorpe Park :) stealth is the best if you are looking to conquer your fears of rollercoasters :)
I've gone two times one in 2015 and in 2023 and I went on school days so I got to go on all the rides x2 especially dragons fury vampire rattle snake the scary ones I went like 5 times

I went on this for the first time in 2019 with my cousin and BOI IT WAS FAST! It took about 1-2 hours to get on but it was worth it

I went on this ride for the first time today and was dreading it as I'm not a ride person at all. I don't know what it is about this ride though, but I ended up loving it! It's fast, but I didn't get that "stomach-drop" feeling I get on other coasters. I ended up going on it a second time. I'd say Vampire is definitely a good ride to start with if you want to get used to roller coasters.

I remember going on this ride 20 times in one day (occasionally broken up with a trip on Bubbleworks). I don’t think I ever screamed. It was just the right amount of fast fun without being too scary.
I’m so sad they got rid of bubbleworks, it was such a great attraction

I really enjoyed this ride. I have a heart condition, so I usually avoid roller coasters. But this one and th13een are fine! They're fast and fun, but not extreme. Th13een is probably more intense than this one, but Vampire is still pretty fast and I found the first part of the ride more intense than the second part. You bang your head quite a lot if you don't keep it stiff, but it's still cool swinging among the trees! And the queue! Oh wow, this ride is worth just for the amazingly themed queue!
First went on this ride back in 1992 as a 15yr old!! As a 45 year old I still hold this ride dear to my heart, sure it's not that inverted thrill you get at Thorpe, but this Suspended Coaster is only 1 of 2 left on the planet, so treasure it. The theming has always been wonderful, and the flight in the tunnel still brings a smile!! The old trains were much much better tho.

Iron Dragon at Cedar Point, The Bat at Kings Island, Vortex at Canada's Wonderland, Ninja at Six Flags Magic Mountain are the other four.
I’d say the OG Nemesis at towers would give a better thrill than inferno would

vampire is a good ride however the queue drags on too long. once i was queueing for 2 hours and a half.

this is my favourite ride mostly because there’s no steep drops
I went on it today and it was amazing, it was my first ever coaster and we waited like an hour for it but it was worth it! 😁
I remember this was the 3rd ever rollercoaster I did. Absolutely love the way it's in the forest.

This was my second rollercoaster. It had a much better queueline than Dragon's Fury, but Dragon's Fury was the better ride. But they were both very enjoyable.
I went on this ride front row when I was about 6 my mum, screamed her head off and I just held on tightly and enjoyed the ride 😂

I've rode this ride more than I can count and I must say it's the best ride I've been on in my life
been wanting to go on this ride since i was a young kid who didn’t even meet the height limit 😂 i’ve been rewatching this video up until now to “prepare” myself as i’m usually terrified of rollercoasters… but today i went on it with my boyfriend and we got front row seats. needless to say it was worth the wait and we went to ride it again before the park closed. as cliche as it sounds, my only regret is not trying it sooner 💜

I went on there in June and I absolutely loved it and the best part is that you can see everyone underneath you but let me tell you it was fast alright. It took an hour to get on but it was definitely worth it!
Omg I went on this in 2024 with my sister and it got to the begging part when it got there it broke down so we came of the ride and my mom was like where are my children? My sister says the gruffalo one is scary. It's not
I queued up for an hour to ride this and when I got to the station, they had to evacuate everyone from the queue line because a train was stuck. They didnt compensate anyone who was in the queue either. Great POV though.

personaly, one of the most intense parts for me are when it lifts you up. that clicking sound really is just terrfying. aswell as going over the houses as i was on the front was a bit scary and intense
I remember going on this ride and getting back injures that lasted half of Summer but it’s still good tho
I went on this coaster when I was 7- I’m still a kid 😂 and after stepping foot into the queue area I was scared to hell but after the drop you wouldn’t feel like the big stomach drop thingy. It would just feel like you were gliding through the air. I don’t find the hanging rollercoasters scary. Only he ones attached to the rails.
I remember going on there with my mum. I made us go on there about 4 - 6 times.

I went on this roughly when Transylvania first opened, with the Professor Burps Bubbleworks ride was brand new.
I remember the original bat trains, they were big and chunky and those lift hills seemed to struggle to haul them up the inclines
Everytime we went there as kids, that ride was almost guaranteed to breakdown.

Can’t believe it’s still going, I first rode it in the early 90s and I have been back since the mid 90s.
Took 5 hours to get there but I remember it was soooo worth it and fast.RECOMMEND

The only decent ride at Chessington with Rameses Revenge. Mostly kids rides now especially after they got rid of Samurai
i was gutted the year Rameses revenge was closing i couldn't've go on it as i was to big :(
@@Robjp81 I can imagine. Rattlesnake and Runaway Mine Train are good too but Chessington no longer appeals for those after intense ride experiences

The first time I went on vampire me and my mum were at the front lol. As it was my first time on it I was so scared but excited coz we were at the front lol

The ride is not at all scary it is suitable for 5 yr olds. However I hated it because their is not enough support and my head was bashing side to side and I had a huge headache
I remember when it was little bats your legs used to be inside. It was my 1st ever coaster went on it for the 1st time in 20 years yesterday brought back some memories

Can't vampire get the old trains back? Look at rides over in the states, they have their original arrow suspended trains
I got a bruise on my back bc of this ride but rlly it was worth it its one of my fav rides in chessington
I went on this this my family and friends to go on and IT WAS FAST ROUND THE BENDS AND DROPS

I got to go in it with the staff and they didn’t stop it for like 8 times it was so fun

I absolutely love this coaster, but for some reason it judders longitudinally. I assumed there must be trim brakes, but this video shows none.
Takes me back to the day out with the kids!!!

If you dont mind me asking how do you record on this ride?
You need to ask for Permission to film on the rides from quest services as long as it’s a green light I use a body mount for my gopro

i went during covid like 3 or 4 times and i think it was the best cause the park was partially empty
It’s so fast but when the turns come it hurst your head so badly but boi is was worth it we went on a rlly hot day and we got to go on it 5 times there was barley anime there
