What are your thoughts on using the 1.5/5x scope? I find that 1.5X lets you engage moderately comfortably up to 75m while also not giving that much aimpunch. And for the longer ranges where you fire slower you got the bigger zoom. And the crosshair isn't that godawful green arrow. *edit* I also don't use a laser on mine.
It’s a good idea if that’s your preference, specially since you’ll have less aimpunch when you’re using the 1.5X, I just don’t because of the extra hit on handling (I think it’s an extra 2 handling it takes off if I remember off the top of my head). Btw you should always put on a laser even if you don’t use it at all (because you ADS quicker by 50ms if it’s just on)
@@AuxOwl Yeah, the reason I don't use a laser is twofold. It's an extra step to cycle through the zooms (1.5X/5x/canted) and it can give my position away when I try a flanking manoever. But I'll give it a shot and maybe try the 3X scope (viewpoint) if that's available on the gun
Yeah I gotcha, at least once you get used to the cycling it’s not too bad (you can also hold down the button and switch to whichever sighting option you’d like, I found this out kinda recently lol) but stuff like that is for sure valid, a lot of it is just preference. And yup 3x Viewpoint scope is available for it so that should be a good one :)
it's good to see that apart from the build you also explain the use of the weapon in which situations it is better and at what distances, nobody does that in the videos they make on yt, they just say that they put the weapon on and show their game of "20,000" kills with it, on top of that they think that everyone who plays a shooter game does so because they must already know or come from previous games when there are people who for some reason have wanted to but have found it difficult or have simply caught their attention the game for the first time and want to try, so it's not an implicit rule. Thankful for this.
I tested it but don't like the aimpunch after a shot. I suspect stability has a lot of effect on marksman rifles to counter the aimpunch? The build itself is ok but doesn't fit my aggressive playstyle.
Yeah the marksman rifles in this game are at a huge disadvantage if you're using them aggressively, it's best to stick with the ARs and even SMGs for aggressive playstyles :) The aim punch is high because the optic is a 3.5x so it amplifies the aim-punch by that same amount, it's crazy but if we were to increase the stability even more then it would feel even worse for aggression due to the lack of control and handling LOL Don't worry I gotcha with the more aggressive builds during the full release of the game
I should be finishing the SVD editing today, I want to upload that as soon as possible since there's only 4 days left in the alpha. For that same reason, I won't have time to make any on LMGs but I 100% will do LMGs when the full game is released!
It’s for two reason mainly, a high powered optic would mean that your field of view would be significantly smaller which is ok for a full on sniper but not a marksman rifle since you’ll still be in the mid-ranges. And the higher power the scope, the more you flinch when you get hit so at those 70 meters for example when you’re having a fight against a SCARH, you’d be at a disadvantage due to the extra flinch and being too zoomed in. Also it lowers handling by 2 more points :( but in the end it’s all preference really
Yeah I mostly agree that's the issue with the gun classes currently. There's only a slight gap where the top ARs wouldn't be as good as a marksman rifle and that's extremely limited, and that would be above 70 meters (unless the AR is kitted out for maximum control and 0 handling). I do hope for a little bit better balancing when the game is fully released where the Marksman rifles have a better place in the meta
@@AuxOwl The AUG is an absolute beast at that. I routinely beat snipers up to 100-120ms with my AUG-setup and it's not even that slow, but it's not a run-and-gun setup.
By popular demand, this is my best SR-25 build! let me know if you have any improvements, enjoy!
it's good, a realy good loadout

Thank you! I’m glad I could help :) I’ll definitely keep adding details like that in future videos
New AuxOwl build time to spend all my weapon xp tokens!!!
Wooohooo! Lol only a couple more days for the closed alpha to end so gotta spend those extra XP tokens
I'm going to try it out immediately! Had an 88 kill game today with your builds of the Scar-H and K416 together 🥳
Hell yeah! Glad you've gotten good use out of them

GG! May I request you to play with the SVD next, please? And then the LMGs, there are very few gameplay videos of them, so I would love to see more

Why you don't want to put a high magnification optic on your marksman rifle?

It just seems that the top ARs couod have done this but better.
I'm not faulting you, just the balance of the game right now.
