umm... the Genesis is as good as a Lexus. I wouldn't say they are better in every aspect, but the Genesis G80 and the Genesis brand in some ways are superior to Lexus, nearing an Audi.
I drove a G80 5.0 recently, and I wholeheartedly agree - it's a beast! Not so much an outright beast, but if you drive it "normally" for a bit, then start driving fast, it's surprising how much power it has, and how it handles decently. I also agree, the ride quality is phenomenal, and the transmission is near-perfect. In my few days with the G80 I noticed the shifting out of first weirdness you mentioned as well, but only with Sport mode. I think Sport mode is just kinda weird on this car. Anyway, very nice to see your perspective on it as always!
I own the 2018 G80 Sport, it's my wife daily driver and it's an exceptional car. She gets compliments and stares all the time. Compared to the competitors this car is an absolute bargain.
This car is already an older design. Some will say long in the tooth. To each their own I suppose. I think this is a car that has aged beautifully over the last few years. I think it’s still a looker to this very day... And I believe it will for a long time to come.
Hey, love your videos man, great quality! I currently drive an Infinit G35 2007 base and am looking to upgrade to something larger and more luxurious. Appreciate the work you do on these videos. You really get a sense of the car from your videos.

That’s first gear getting stuck is a Hyundai thing. I have it happen in my Tucson every so often and the floaty steering wheel feel. Glad to see the acceleration and power is decent in this. Plan on making this my next car.
How is it brother? I have a 2017 Honda Accord Touring v6 but thinking about picking this up some day or the newer 2021 version since that one looks so much better, is the quality of this car really there?
@@alvincolon1 Sorry was never alerted to your message. Yes I have had it for 16 months and it has held up well. Did you end up getting a car? I would recommend Genesis

I am anxious to go buy mine. I'm planning to purchase the 2019, but it's pretty much the same as the 2018, so whichever I can find with low mileage and cost, and not white or black exterior,,,I will have it in my garage next April.
Hi Chris. I'm a big fan of your channel. I've noticed that you've never reviewed a mazda 3. I was wondering if you could get your hands on one - I'd really like to know what you think of it! (I've heard its a decent drivers car?)
Noticing that you get full torque on the 3.3 Turbo starting at 1,300 rpm, and for the 5.0 starts at 5,000 rpm. As much as I like V8's, I love low end torque from take off. Which would you recommend for me?
I'd recommend the 3.3T. I want quiet, low-end torque, and the six provides it. The V8 is more powerful on the top end, and sounds fantastic, but I'll take the 3.3T for the low-end torque, and take about 150 lbs off the front axle. :) So I have a G90 3.3T on order. :-)
Watching a bunch of this dude's videos, I had trouble coming up with who he reminded me of with the way he speaks and also some of his mannerisms. It finally just hit me in the middle of this video. This guy is the son of the famous hippie painter BOB ROSS. The comparisons are endless. hahahaha
Protector of the Republic I’m not a fan of Tesla interiors either, but this mikes behind Mercedes/Audi/bmw in looks and materials used. It may be functional, but it’s not great looking.
I love the interior because it fits the character I want in an interior perfectly. I don’t like dramatic interiors, so to see simple lines and layouts through the interior and exterior puts a grin on my face.
Sam Mikhail well its not Hyundai anymore its Genesis and fully loaded for that price it's worth it the competition they are the one's that don't worth you have to think how it going to look over time then it going to seem to be a waste of money if the competition is going to sell there cars for that much money make the tech standard some of them you end up paying $11-15, 000 for options that will definitely break in a year
This car is so great, just a perfect interior layout and good looking exterior and everything looks so solid. Would definitely get over a Lexus.
Couldn't agree with you more.
As a Lexus fan, I would definitely get one of these.

The Koreans have surpassed Acura in this class, by a LOT. And Mazda has no chance.
I don't think Mazda ever competed in the luxury sedan segment.
umm... the Genesis is as good as a Lexus. I wouldn't say they are better in every aspect, but the Genesis G80 and the Genesis brand in some ways are superior to Lexus, nearing an Audi.
Come back to us in five years and let’s compare the average condition of this versus a TLX.
Protector of the Republic mazda makes premium vehicles but doesn't compete in that class
Acura’s have been pretty boring for about a decade. Last cool car they made was the 2008 TL-S. They can’t compete until they make something RWD.

The infotainment is like the Nissan/Infiniti infotainment. Not my favorite in terms of design and size but works very good and is reliable

Why dont you use non copyright music to show us the sound system as you have binaural microphone which are pretty good ?
Agree with you on that.
Using Binaural microphone is not for recording high resolution sound.
It’s for recording surround sound
it's still good for getting a slight understanding of the interior acoustics.
