I had to purchase my round stock for the grate, and WAY overpaid at Lowe’s and Home Depot, who carry minimum stock btw. After it was done, I started searching around for metal yards (I needed two grills for what I was planning), and learned I could get all of the raw material, including brackets, handles, wheels, paint, etc. for around $150 (US). I wish I could upload photos. The grill came out beautifully - and I’m barely ok at building things. I didn’t know how to weld at all before I started this project, but I lucked up and found someone selling his gas-less MIG welder for $75. I bought some cheapo startup welding supplies from Harbor Freight, watched a few UA-cam videos, and just got to it. I know there are a lot of flaws with my welds, and I wouldn’t put them through any extreme stress tests, but overall they turned out well. The welds joined beautifully at the joints for the angle iron, but for some reason the round stock didn’t want to bind. I had idk, somewhere around 120 weld joints to make for them, and they all gave me a difficult time, which led to overheating. So my grate is slightly bowed in the middle on the top and bottom grates. It’s not extremely bad, and though it annoys me to know that the bow is there because of my lack of skills, I actually kind of like the look. Others that have seen the grill likes it as well. Anyway, if anyone wants to see my results, let me know. You’ll have to let me know how to upload photos without creating my own video and uploading the link. But if that’s what I have to do, then I’ll do it. It’s nowhere near the quality of his grill, and is actually not 100% complete - after two weeks of spending every free hour working on this thing, as well as almost definitely ingesting WAAAAY too much iron dust, I was just ready to be finished with it. If I can build this thing, having absolutely zero professional training in any aspect of building, from measuring to cutting to welding, then anyone can and I encourage you to do so. I will recommend to use the smallest size angle iron that will work with the drum - it gets pretty heavy. Also, I found that the only drill bits worth using on the angle iron are Cobalt tips, with the easy start angle. I believe it’s 120 degrees, but don’t quote me on it. Every other bit burned out before making one hole - even the Titanium ones, who boast being able to drill through iron. The Cobalt costs more, but are definitely worth it. It is not a matter of money, I love making things, all kinds of things! I don't care if I could find it cheaper in a store. It's all about creation!

Hola muy bueno, que medida de angulo usaste? Gracias
Thank you very much for your great comments! I used 3cm X 3cm

Me disculpo. Pensé que habías preguntado qué tipo de ángulo de hierro usaba ... (no hablo español, uso el traductor de Google).
@@RustisGold they may have, to be honest I'm not certain if there is a specific word for angle iron in Spanish or if they were asking for the angles used to cut the bars.
Great build by the way, I just got a 55 gallon barrel from craigslist and I'm in the process of cleaning it now 😁

Awesome build 👍🏼 really relaxing to watch. What’s the weight on her?
