- Iranian Canadian politician Goldie Ghamari has expressed concern over recent footage showing hundreds of Muslims gathering on Toronto’s streets to pray for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.
According to Ms Ghamari, one of the ways the terrorist regime in Iran responds to pro-democracy Iranians is to take over their spaces and pray in front of them.
“This is a sign of conquest, this is a sign of power and it is very concerning and it is very frightening to see these radical Islamofascist ideologies abusing the freedoms and the charter within Canada for example,” she told Sky News host Rita Panahi.
The Canadian MPP noted that the Muslims that took part in the protest and were filmed praying together for peace are participating in an “unsanctioned rally”.
“You are blocking traffic, you are taking over the streets, you are not allowing peaceful Canadians to just walk through and use public spaces and you are using this as a tool of colonialisation and conquering within this radical Islamofascist ideology.”
