The Nashville Choir - "A Light for the City" Concert

This is a very exciting and worshipful event coming up on October 14th at 2PM and 7PM at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center. The Nashville Choir, an auditioned group of 150 Christian singers from the area, will be leading the 2nd Annual "A Light for the City" event performing classic and contemporary Christian music and accompanied by an array of musicians, special guest artists and guest choirs. This event brings together thousands from Nashville's Christian community who represent various denominations, churches and ethnic backgrounds to experience a unique and spectacular time of music and inspiration. In The Nashville Choir alone, members represent over 60 different churches and over 20 different denominations!
Presented by Thomas Nelson and The Nashville Choir, "A Light For The City" will also include music and scripture from The Word of Promise New Testament Audio Bible. With guest choirs including the Greater Nashville Community Gospel Choir and the Nashville Met Singers (a children's choir from Nashville's metropolitan school system), this event will likely be the most culturally diverse event to hit the Schermerhorn stage this year. Also scheduled to appear are GRAMMY-nominated and Dove Award-winning artists Point of Grace and Steve Green, and more very special guests. In addition, the Schermerhorn's phenomenal, newly-debuted pipe organ will be featured throughout the event.
