Generally Saudi citizens behave nicely with foreigners as they want you not to feel different, inferior or bad because of the stigma. Talk to Saudis and they will become more friendly, invite you to their homes. Bad day can land you with bad mannered people in any part of the world.

Isn’t Jeddah an hour away from Makkah? How can the train drop you off an hour away from Makkah. When I went there in 2014 the was no trains we had to get a taxi to Makkah which if I remember was like an hour or hour and half tops.
