    Recipe for herring salad with peas and egg
    Ingredients:
    herring (5-6 lobes)
    potatoes (4 pieces)
    eggs (4 pieces)
    onion (1 piece)
    canned peas (400 g)
    cheese (20 grams)
    mayonnaise (2-3 tablespoons)
    salt
    black pepper
    Preparation:
    Rinse the herring fillets under running cold water, put them in a bowl, cover with cold water and set aside for about an hour. Change the water and soak for another hour. Drain and slice, then place in a large bowl.
    Place the potatoes (unpeeled) in a pot, add water, salt and cook, covered, until tender, for about 30-35 minutes.
    Drain, cool, peel, cut into cubes and add to a bowl with herring.
    Hard-boil the eggs (about 5 - 6 minutes after boiling the water), cut into cubes, add to the bowl with the remaining ingredients.
    Dice the onion into small cubes and scald it in a sieve with boiling water, if it is very intense, then also place it in a bowl with salad.
    Grate the cheese on a coarse-mesh grater and add to a bowl.
    Finally, add well drained and drained peas to the salad.
    Season with salt, pepper and mayonnaise. Put in the fridge for 10-15 minutes to let the ingredients chew.
    Serving suggestion: a fresh baguette / slice of whole grain bread with butter.
