- This is my first bike and I am VERY happy with it!! The Hyosung GV250 was the perfect choice for my needs because it's MUCH bigger than the other 250cc's out there.. Plus I really wanted a V-Twin. I removed the silencers shortly after I bought it and it made a world of difference!! Now it looks and sounds more like a 600-750cc bike. (the mic on my webcam and the audio of this video do the sound of the bike absolutely no justice!) I'm an above average sized guy 5'11", 200lbs and the GV250 has no problem getting me up to 90+mph!! Pretty damn good for a 250 I'd say.. Its light weight and handles quite well for a cruiser style bike too.. I can't wait for next season!! More video's to come cause I have all winter to add accessories and watch the weather channel for nicer weather.... Ride safe..(8=

I've tried one of them just three months ago, performance and price seemed to be awesome for me. I've been saving money for Honda Shadow for almost a year, but i changed my mind and will buy it this month. 250 cc, 14 liters and 850 km was what they told me and looks pretty nice.
In 2019, i am getting one 2012 model, efi. 2 in 1 exhaust. What do u say, should i go for it or not?
Bought a 2007 with 9000 miles on it. I love it.
You will be very happy with this bike ;) I have about a six years this bike. 45000km without any problem... Great bike. He give me a lot of happines...
Sorry for the delay guys..I agree totally trikstadude3, I'm 5'11" and it was a little too small and light for me as well..I've since upgraded to a Vulcan 750..The GV250 is still an awesome starter bike for anyone looking to get into riding at a very reasonable price. Its as big physically as other bikes with much more displacement. Handles excellent in the city and country roads..Really fun on fast banked curves too..Plus 55-60mpg is pretty nice..Highway riding is a bit sketchy though..Mostly due to the 380 pound weight..I've had it up to 90 on several occasions and its white knuckle man..haha I still recommend it highly..
1993leonyu: Yes the GV250 is very reliable..The only issue I had the entire time I owned it was a faulty neutral sensor. Luckily its a breeze to push start by yourself..I could start it in 1st gear while sitting on the seat in literally 5 feet. I did that for a few weeks and picked up thr part..Never had anything else happen..Great bike for the money..Ride safe everyone..:)
Hi Micheal. To answer your question..Yes,.Its an excellent beginner bike..Light and nimble..Easy to get on and ride..Plus its bigger than most 250cc bikes so you can fit in a little better with the larger bike crowd...Good luck to you and ride safe..:)
Hi John,
No worries. Most bikes above 250cc are manual transmission. There are several automatics out there also but most fall into the scooter category. The best advice I can give you is to start out with something your comfortable with. Definitely take a motorcycle safety course if its within your means, and practice with a licensed motorcyclist in a non populated area if possible. Old parking lots or country roads with limited traffic. Just to get comfortable with your bike..Once you have the basics you should be fine. Good luck brotha! Be safe!
+Brian Montgomery Im about to buy this same model but the specifications say its about 7 feet long from front to back-- is this true ?? Pleeeeaasseee heellp!!!
Rox Riggen Yeah, 7 feet sounds about right..
YUP! I have this bike same year too, freakin reliable and gets about 60 miles per gallon.
F'ng Beautiful...
WOW, seems and sounds interesting, i was looking for same in India for quite some time, Finally i may get to owe 1 of my own.
I'm also 5'11-6' but I still think I'll buy this motorcycle, I just turned 18 and am kind of tired from my 125cc scooter (Honda PCX 125) I just want to cruise around the country with my motorcycle and enjoy the road listening to music and ease my mind in this world.
Very nice music from engine.
I still dont know why people call this a Beginner bike. I've had two since 07 and its a perfect commuter in the city
stayjit1 what does that have to do with whether or not it’s a beginner bike?
I am getting a 2012 gv250, efi, 2 in 1 exhaust. What do u say, should i buy it? Durability n maintenance point of view. As i am in pakistan, and there are no official dealers here. I am getting it from importer in 2019. Bike ia 2012
The hyosung gv250 is my crush
Hi Brian, I have a same motorcycle, 2008 y,Black, called ,model Mirage 250 here Brazil, good machine👍👍👍
とてもかっこいいこのバイク💓
Nice bike. The your dash is digital. Curious because here this model bring with analog indicators. Congratulations by your shine bike.
hey man, awsome bike, quick question, what exhaust did you put on your bike?
Leave the digital displays for the high-tech-looking sport bikes, imo. This is the bike I want as well, as soon as I get my license (working on that now...), but I'll be looking for something in the 2010-2012 range both because of the analog gauges and fuel injection.
looks very nice...im torn between buying a gt250r (sport touring) or a cruiser... :/ never been a fan of cruisers tbh, but this looks mint
Friend, please tell me. Are you doing something with the exhaust?
nice bike brother, lookin at one for myself. hyosung makes some nice styles, also like the gt250 comet, got a ducati monster 696 look to it.
Nice bike man..
+Brian montgomery. hi i just purchased this bike. but its sound is not so good . pls tell me how to increase that . rply fast and thnx in advance
hey again, Brian- Ive heard about the rectifier problem ALOT where the engine will just -shut off- Have you experienced this yet ? I bought this exact same bike but it hasnt been delivered yet; im waitign for it any day and Im worrieed about this issue .. if it stalls out, just know about the rectifier/regulator issue
What errors can I face if any dealers in my area?
I'm pretty sure its the American model..At first I liked the Digital dash.. Then after the cool factor was over I wish it had a tachometer and a temp gauge.. Other than that it's a great bike..Over the winter I installed a sissy bar and saddle bags..She's looking even better now..(8=
I liked the exhaust sound. What did you perform on the bike? Thank you for the video....
ur camera is tripping me out lol
.. love the bike though!!!
how is it on the highway?
also, how tall are you, if ur around 6ft, are your legs stretched out? or are they more of a proper riding position?
Luckily my camera didn't pick up the dust on the fenders..lol Now I have a project for the weekend..(Wax the bike)..
Beautiful bike!
My Aquila just got stolen as soon as I bought a second bike..I miss it dearly!!😭😭
Sorry to hear that...
Would you say this is a good beginner, I'm thinking about getting this but 2014 version
Absolutely... Its big enough to get you ready for a larger bike if you choose.. Also light weight and nimble to boost confidence for new riders..
Is this Hyosung GV250 reliable? I planing to buy one,,,,,,, I got another choice is the Honda shadow TA200
+1993leonyu did you ever buy one ?
Would you recommend this for a first time rider?
Yeah.. I think its a great first bike.. Its bigger than most 250cc bikes also. Perfect for larger individuals like myself.. 👍
Im planning a 2000km trip on this motorbike. It will be a continuous journey with less stops. Im thinking of covering this distance in 40 hrs .Can this bike do this ?
Got one myself. would love to do something like that. Did it work?
which country is it? in turkey it has chain and non-electronic indicator.
As for the digital dash..I found one online on ebay..Also theres several sites on google or bing that sell Hyosung factory parts..I found them by googling "2008 gv250 parts"..Hope that helps..Ride safe..:)
where did you get the exhaust?
The smirk on your face at the beginning... I know that feeling; a new bike! But the 250 is a little bit to small for me; going for the 650gv sportcruiser - mainly, because I don't want the bike "cry high" at 130km/h on the motorway.
They both have the same engine so I guess it just depends on how you want to sit.. The gv250 has a comfortable seating position and loads of add on parts to customize it and make it your own.. The gt250r should have plenty of aftermarket add ons too.. Both have great reviews too.. The only thing I can say negative about mine is the lack of dealers in my area to do service's that I can't do myself..lol So far I haven't needed anything done but you never know when ya might.. Fingers crossed..lol
the 2008s and up all have fuel injection right?
top speed (km/h)?
Hi, nice intro, I have a 2005 hyosung that I've re-looked myself, as fashion in europe comes bake to the vintage "neo vintage" and I though there is someting to do with this one, if you will chek this title on youtube "2015 hyosung gv250 prototype" you'll see what i'm talking about, once nice video.
Fabian.

My biggest problem with this bike is the frame size.. as a 6'4"-6'5" guy, this bike is much too small. The bigger Aquila pro however is a much nicer size - but of course is more expensive.
Your camera is on LSD.
It could be...😂😂
Where is spark plug lol
I have a 2006..all of a sudden it won't start.. Firing but won't turn over.. Not battery
Flooded??
The plugs are on the top of each cylinder head... If you have a crank no start it could be spark or fuel..
Son will look at it this weekend.. Thanks for info
