Technically SBI got more points unmultiplied. The reason Green got more is because they absolutely destroyed the last 3 games, whereas SBI just did very good in all of them, and destroyed the first games. Huge fan of both teams, just wanted to point it out!
A large part is cause they did so well in Skyblockle, still holding the coin record for that game despite having a team member who litterally got 0 coins. Also fun fact, if you reverse the game order for mcc 4, Purple still takes first with a whopping 26,042 coins, which is insane

Honestly considering that the events nowadays are way more balanced and that a bunch of the games had coins heavily nerfed i dont think its really fair to compare only coin totals when comparing the best teams, since it would be way harder for a current team to beat those scores
altough tbf there isnt really any other fair way to compare the teams
Tbh they could do a separate video on season two teams like this and just every time there’s major changes make a new updated video on the new highest scoring teams and best teams based on coin averages and everything
You could do coin percentage, like how many percentage a team got of all the coins given out in this event. This would balance the differences between different MCc’s

The SBI is the only team that makes me rewatch the mcc just because of how fun and good they are together.
im convinced that even for as popular that he dream team may be the sbi- i.e. techno, phil, will, and tommy-are mcc's sweethearts. they were genuinely one of the best teams out there.
True! The dream team is more recognised for their power, while SBI's team Purple Pandas is more known for being a sweet team with great chemistry (even if they are cracked as fuck)

That would be incredibly broken and I'd love to see it, they seem like they'd mesh really well too. Maybe if Techno decides to do a one-off charity event or something in the future.
Same with HBomb and Dream, especially since Dream has been very vocal about wanting it. That's probably more likely (again, only for charity though) since they're both active but definitely just as unbalanced.

Can u do this again, but with the coins somehow normalised? A few of the events were originally quite broken, and the amount of coins given out has varied quite a bit from event to event. Also, maybe a video on the best MCC team when considering the unmultiplied coin total?
I'd say the issue is that normalizing scores is almost impossible to do in a fair way for all top teams (a system such as averaging the coins of the top 5 teams would for example favour teams that had a late SG or SoT where the bottom teams get very few coins and the top teams get a huge amount).
I believe the only team that makes it in with unmultiplied coin that wasn't in this video is Orange 3, which got 12017 unmultiplied coins which be third behind only mcc 4 Purple at 12596 coins and mcc 7 Green at 12320 coins.
@@blacawi I meant along the lines of certain events as a whole giving out much greater amount of coins, making it difficult to actually normalize the value of the coin itself. Also, if we take unmultiplied coins into account, a lot of games will definitely become a lot more redundant, especially if they tend to create massive differences in coin value such as SoT and SG, so what I meant was not really a list of which team is best, but rather which were the most consistent teams through an event.
@@FlyingPichu Using the overall score given out in the event would have a negligible impact on this (the biggest gap between events I have found is that between mcc 7 and 8, with mcc 8 giving out 88% of the coins of mcc 7) and most likely wouldn't be enough to shift too much. It would also hurt teams for things out of their control (other teams doing well in Buildmart or SoT (which I believe are the only games with uncapped coin totals)).

Ye, mcc season 1 was like testing, now the coins are more balanced, teams are more balanced, and obviously, there's been less cannon events, 3 has been non cannon so less chance of higher coins
If mcc 17 used the same points system as mcc 7 then the mcc17 Orange would have more coins than mcc7 Green
Yeah I believe they changed the ways they calculate coins and also some of the old games had insane coin amounts and aren’t in the event anymore
@@Julianthebagel I honestly doubt that as MCC 17 had crazy SoT scores (only slightly below mcc 7), high buildmart scores (compared to S1 and especially mcc 7) and more coins for getting first in AR (as Pete did).
Their score would probably either be similar or slightly higher, but not the 2000 coins needed.
Fun Fact: HBomb has a record to get no. 1 team in an event 5 times in a row. He was in the best teams from MCC 6-11. You can check.

an honorable mention should be MCCP21 Aqua Axolotls, because they actually beat the MCC7 Green Guardians by getting 25888 coins.
this was a non-cannon event though, which is why it shouldnt be considered as the actual highest count, since a lot of teams were much weaker compared to a normal mcc, but still a very cool stat!

Using old scoring, MCC17 Orange Ocelots would have gotten 25,964 coins and broken the record (also with all 4 players finishing top 10)
How do you calculate that score? They lose 213 coins (85 unmultiplied) from AR, gain 1620 (540 unmultiplied) from SG, gain 100 from HITW, gain 165 (110 unmultiplied) coins from TGTTOS and lose a little less than 1044 (417.6 unmultiplied) coins from Buildmart (no ideal translation, but I looked at their completed builds and multiplied it by 1.2 to account for the extra time) for an overall coins of 24041.
Finally I'd guess the SoT dungeon of mcc 7 was worth 2047 unmultiplied coins (average of the first 5 teams), while the mcc 17 one was worth 1984.6 coins. Accounting for this would increase the coins of Orange 17 by 132 (66 unmultiplied) coins and bring it to 24173 coins which allows them to push Aqua 8 out of this list and take fifth place.

Edit 2, the actual commentary: Wow, Hbomb was in so many of these. Fwhip was in two of them which surprised me actually, because fwhip isnt as known for things like movement/pvp. And of course mr petezahhutt was bound to be in at least 1
i think it comes down to chemistry as well, because better chemistry allows for better communication, as seen in mcc 9 blue bats and mcc 4 purple pandas. very cool video! :D

I know these teams didn't do that well on team coins, but in my opinion these teams should be included

Mcc 17 orange
It should be noted that mcc 3 Orange would actually have been on the list if it was unmultiplied coins (It's third there behind purple 4 and green 7). The 3 last games were their weakest ones (where they got 2nd, 2nd and 5th) which is why their multiplied score is lower, but they did dominate the event.
Yea, the reason why I also put mcc 3 blue is they also got all players in top 10 with orange which is very impressive for not even getting 1st on teams

I'd guess the main reason they got less (they had 21829 coins) coins is SoT:
mcc 5 was the first time SoT got played and even the first place team (which was Yellow) got only 369 coins which is at least 1000 less than the other teams on this list got in SoT. That combined with an early SG (so a lower multiplier) means that they aren't on this list even though their worst game placement was 4th.

After MCC10, H is in a voice call with False congratulating her on his win and Scott tells H that he can’t team with any players better than him. He was coming off a four dodgebolt streak and Scott said that he would give H a team with no S-Tiers and see how it did. It was team BBC and they came first in coins. That sealed H’s fate and it was even more consolidated after MCC 12, leading to a run of teams without s-tiers and many being considered underpowered

they played well in most games, not all. bingo was terrible and they are not even in the top ten highest scoring teams
They got first in 4 games, but got 3rd, 4th, 8th and 9th in the other 4 which leaves them more than 3000 coins away from this list.

Their best one (apart from AS, which would be 5th on this list) was Red 15, which got 22740 coins and would still be more than 1000 coins away from the video.

That's not true. The MCC 9 Blue Bats got 7.2k on a 2.5x multiplier, while the mcc 19 Candy canes got 7.9k on a 3x multiplier. In unmultiplied coins, MCC 9 blue bats are the best.

-Blue 9 got 2880 unmultiplied coins which when multiplied by 2.5 is 7200.
-Cerulean 19 got 2650 unmultiplied coins which when multiplied by 3 is 7950.
So Blue 9 still got more unmultiplied coins.
