I think a good quote from the Eleven in the audio series Ravenous that goes well with this is: "The Doctor doesn’t use weapons, because others will always use them for him."
I'm so glad you always include that bit about Ruth Doctor's companion dying. He's easily forgotten, but he did spend who knows how many years by her side, keeping her safe.
I don’t wanna jinx it, but this season is good so far. Actually starts to feel somewhat like Doctor Who again. Nice video!
Adric, Rose, Donna, Clara, Bill...
They loved travelling with the Doctor so much it more or less got them killed. That and wanting to impress, or even emulate, him.

@@shade4705 Classic Who. Companion of the Fifth Doctor. Died in Earthshock, was onboard a Cyberman ship that became the asteroid that killed the dinosaurs.
And Amy and Rory; it was so addictive to the Ponds that, even when they tried to stop and have a normal life, they died because of a fixed time loop.

@@FuszyCaterpillar I do hope so because it would be an incredibly emotional moment that Chibnall's era hasn't really had yet. I just want one scene that brings me to tears! That might be the one.
Missed opportunity of using the Master saying What Would the Doctor Do
Reminds me of that episode where Danny meets the Doctor, and he remarks how the Doctor is so much like his commanding officers in the army. Rory and Danny were the only few people who saw the Doctor's bad influence
the doctor warns them all; she warned yaz, she told yaz that she wouldn't come back the same person she was before and now look...
That's unfair, none of them could ever know what that really means.
@@Ziran_Uru very true, plus even if they did, i still dont think they would turn down the doctor's offer to go travelling. i know i wouldn't even if i knew the dangers.
I feel like Yaz kinda needs to die in a special or in the finale so the thirteenth doctor experiences some grief. Similar to when 11 isolated himself after Amy and Rory died.
Absolutely brilliant! I love each Doctor and their relationship with companions. The Doctor shows them the universe but at the same time it's intoxicating.
Ugh, this video is so amazing ! This season has my emotions all over the place so far. The Swarm is brilliant and I'm really looking forward to see how all of this goes.

That's what The Dark side of Doctor is. "The man, who abhors the violence, never carrying a gun.'' But someday, it turns out that Doctor's companion takes a gun, fires a shot. Doctor hates weapons, never uses it, but there's always a chance, that his/her companion becomes a weapon. And that's scary. It makes me cry all the bloody time i think about it.
I hope we'll see the Dark side of Thirteenth Doctor this season. Are Yaz and Dan about to repeat the cycle?

@Tom Meehan It's just a bit concerning if a generally less pronounced aspect of a fictional character makes a viewer "cry all the bloody time".
@@BRAWGWill well, of course I exaggerated a bit, but as someone said social media makes emotional, not only amuses and makes you laugh. That's the beauty of Doctor Who, in my opinion, so many different emotions. Doctor Who is not just some funny stuff and timey-wimey time travelling. Characters are also going through pain, suffering and sadness just like real people.

Praxeus is really where I saw Yaz going down this path that other companions have, like Icarus. Mandip even said Yaz would fill the Doctor's shoes, way back when, and there she went, challenging the Doctor and taking up the mantle. She was willing to do it alone, too, and the look in the Doctor's eyes-- especially when she stood in the TARDIS doors, looking on. Some interpreted that as romantic (not saying it wasn't, that whole scene was pretty fruity) but I also saw it as the look of the Doctor, haunted at the lives lost when her companions did exactly this. I thought of Bill, Clara, so many, and many who never got the chance to even board the TARDIS. Her would-be companions. All gone.
