Damn I’m kinda triggered by this statement, as a naturally quiet kid and as well as borne from a dysfunct emotional unavailable family, anytime I spoke the truth or expressed emotions I get hella pushback, and thus remained silent and observant, actually became vigilant. So in my view the ability to articulate has to do with the available of the parents and how munch they communicate with said child. , maybe I feel rejected when someone is praised for being articulate especially I had to move from my birth country to foreign land as a kid and had to learn this language, much anxiety I felt from my past experiences of rejection and the inability to speak the new language, I remain quiet and withdrawn in school. And even now I am avoidant around people. People May perceive me as having nothing going on up there being curt and to the point with my responses. But that’s impressionable of them.
