I need to know if anyone has been experiencing any weird smells coming through the vents on their brand new 2025 equinox? my wife purchased a brand new equinox 2025 about 3 months ago and every now and then for a brief few seconds, she would smell a fume like smell (best description we have so far) and then it goes away and its back to regular car smell. This only happens when the AC is on recirculating, temp medium and fan speed on medium. We brought it to the GM dealership and they replaced the cooling fan (mind u this is a brand new vehicle) which reduced the smell drastically but there are still faint smell every now and then. We don't know what we are inhaling and despite our efforts, the dealership still doesn't know what is causing the smell since they can't seem to replicate it so we are documenting everything to give them, since it is still under warranty. If anyone out there has just bought a chevy equinox LT 2025, please let me know if you have the same issue and what was the culprit and the fix please. This is driving us crazy. I know if this was a BMW and we were having these issues they would have probably done more for us.

Janna, you're great, your explanation comparing LT, RS and ACTIV very adequate. I posscessed 2021 Equinox LS,salvaged imported from US , repaired and renewed 2 years ago,it's still great, comfortable, very safe, high economy rating and I'm looking forward to get Equinox 25, here in Iraq we don't like CVT transmission, and as you mentioned only the ACTIV has it, will you confirm that, greetings from Iraq to the land of free.
Im on my 2nd Equanox,just got an RS after having the Premium 2018. Looking forward to getting a 2025 with new styling. It was way overdue for some major changes. Sorry,no RAV4 for me with the cardboard seats and cramped interior and not a great looking car.

Hi thanks. CVT in in front wheel drive versions only. AWD has 8 speed trans
My Choice is the LT AWD trim. 17 Wheels are good for me because it gives greater ride comfort due to the higher side wall on the tire.
Heated seats in the back seats require the convenience package 3.

I got that same RS model but FWD for $40.5k after taxes and fees 12hrs ago here in Texas lol
