I think there is an easier way to map all these elements automatically based on their tags. All we need to do is make sure objects have the right tag. Then if we setup a system of tag conversion to Revit family component, we can export everything with a few clicks.
Amazing! I have a question, if we already have the texture and opacity applied in SketchUp for example a decal image of a brand in a window, it doesn't apply to the Revit model? We have to manually tweak it in Revit correct?
Hey Daniel, I believe we convert the transluceny of materials from SketchUp to Revit. But we don't have support for textures/images. So you would need to reapply the decal in Revit too.
Mapped categories are not converted into families & types. As you select the mapped door, there is no family & type, option is grayed out in property palette. I guess mapped categories are not editable & schedulable
Hey Ronnie, We recently added support for conversion of blocks to Revit families. You can send a Door component from Revit and it will create a Revit family. Then you can modify its category to Doors in Revit. Hope this helps.
If you have been using the Mapper tool to allocate Sketchup objects as having a target Revit type then yes, otherwise the fallback is always to DirectMesh which is not editable.
Publishing data converts from host app to Speckle and then Speckle to host app. So App A > App B is a side benefit of the Speckle data hub. However, we don't have a Dalux connector right now. Please do log a request for one at speckle.community.
Hey there, DirectShapes (the conversion method you see in the video) is not editable in Revit. But we recently introduced converting SketchUp faces to Revit floors. That workflow is editable in Revit. Give it a try and let us know what you think at speckle.community
@@SpeckleSystems Thanks for an amazing product! Any link on the workflow you mentioned " SketchUp faces to Revit floors" ? The idea of having some edit possibility in revit would be super helpful ! Thanks again for you hard work!
I love this product. It makes it much easier when it comes to interoperability. Keep up the incredible work.
Hello, why does mine only say create project and create stream is nowhere to be found? Thank you.

Amazing work!! this tool blows my mind!
Thanks for the kind words!

@@SpeckleSystems Thanks, yes the transparency works perfectly!
It is so great to be able to handle single face. Would it be possible to make Surface and Cut Pattern editable in Revit?

i just found out about this, can you actually revise the SU model once your in revit?
If you have been using the Mapper tool to allocate Sketchup objects as having a target Revit type then yes, otherwise the fallback is always to DirectMesh which is not editable.
Can we Use it for clothes in sketchup to revit?
I guess you can. Depends on the details of what you want to achieve.
is there plugin from revit to dialux? and from dialux to revit?

Can I create a copy of any tree inside Revit after importing and change the material or just color without changing all the other trees colors?
I guess you would. But you would need to create a new Revit family for each tree.
amazing workflow! can i get dimension by dimension tool in revit by this ways?
Hey there,
There is a Revit limitation that prevents you from adding dimensions. We are trying to get around it.
How can I dimension in Revit using sketchup model
I can't dimension with this work flow
Hey there,
That's a Revit limitation. We are trying to get around this limitation.
hopefully soon!

You are the best❤️
is the model editable and you can continue the design changes in revit?

is there a plugin for sketchup and archicad?
Yes, there are plugins for both. You can download them using Manager: speckle.systems/download/
