I feel that Beck is loyal and let's do many girls flirt and get close with them because he's loyal and he knows it. He doesn't care about the girls like her cares about Jade and even though Jade is afraid of him cheating on her and loosing someone she loves, he won't cheat.

The thing with Beck is he's way too nice about things, which I something that bothered me a lot. He's a nice and chill guy, just goes with the flow. But you can clearly see in scenes like that that he's uncomfortable but because he's so nice, he genuinely doesn't know what to do. Besides, in multiple cases, Beck has told people "Please stop" "Don't do that" or even slightly move away because he's genuinely uncomfortable or weirded out. It's just the people (Mostly girls) around him that don't care about the signals and words he says. i do agree that beck needed to set some boundaries with other girls, but something that i can't stop thinking about is that if beck had jade's personality we'd all call him abusive, and if jade had beck's personality we'd all jump to her defense. i think that both were extremely toxic and unhealthy for each other. beck's carelessness and jade's possessiveness and jealousy are both not positive traits to have in a relationship.

even as someone who's not really the jealous type, I truly feel for Jade. I wouldn't really be bothered if people flirted with my significant other, but Beck doesn't even turn down the advances and he seems to enjoy the attention until Jade interrupts them. When he tried to tell her that he had tried to, she started yelling at him that he had no right to put the blame on her. A lot of it was Beck being borderline unfaithful/ provoking her to make her jealous. There were so many situations where he could have just explained what was going on but instead he had to be all weird and annoying about it. Not to mention he made out with someone in class right in front of her and then proceeded to talk to her and go on wacky adventures with her for years after that.
True. I don't dislike beck but i think being "hot" was just his whole thing, besides that he was a pretty boring character not gonna lie. The thing with Beck is he's way too nice about things, which I something that bothered me a lot. He's a nice and chill guy, just goes with the flow. But you can clearly see in scenes like that that he's uncomfortable but because he's so nice, he genuinely doesn't know what to do. Besides, in multiple cases, Beck has told people "Please stop" "Don't do that" or even slightly move away because he's genuinely uncomfortable or weirded out. It's just the people (Mostly girls) around him that don't care about the signals and words he says. They clearly see him weirded out and uncomfortable and they hear him say "No", they just don't care because he's so hot. I know he doing this doesn't make it better, but understand that Beck doesn't like causing a scene and if he says no or stop the first time, then people should stop because no means no

i do agree that beck needed to set some boundaries with other girls, but something that i can't stop thinking about is that if beck had jade's personality we'd all call him abusive, and if jade had beck's personality we'd all jump to her defense. i think that both were extremely toxic and unhealthy for each other. beck's carelessness and jade's possessiveness and jealousy are both not positive traits to have in a relationship.
I used to think that, but nowadays I don't think it's really as much of a "gender-swap" issue as it is with fan favorite. Take Eli Goldsworthy from Degrassi, he kind of manipulated and even cheated on Clare, yet the latter gets more heat for being "annoying."

even as someone who's not really the jealous type, I truly feel for Jade. I wouldn't really be bothered if people flirted with my significant other, but Beck doesn't even turn down the advances and he seems to enjoy the attention until Jade interrupts them. And even after he finds out that she's the jealous type, he still doesn't do shit when people fawn over him. I mean, he didn't even correct Jade when she assumed the cheerleader was probably a hot chick who was into Beck. That was 100% on him. I think even I would have felt somewhat irritated (and possibly insecure) if this had happened on multiple occasions.

While this is true, do understand that there have been times that Beck is seen uncomfortable or weirded out or genuinely confused when being flirted with other girls, and he came been seen slightly moving away from them, awkwardly telling them to stop or nervously and awkwardly makes conversation with the girls who keep insisting. Of course, this isn't any better but the thing with Beck is he is sadly too nice. That doesn't excuse anything but he genuinely doesn't try to hurt Jade, he just wishes she wasn't so controlling over him. Besides, when Beck was pet sitting for his neighbor, it was ANDRE who told Jade it was a cheerleader, Beck say wasn't able to tell Jade it was a nine year old girl, he tried to but Jade eventually hung up and on and stormed over to his trailer, pounding on the door like some intruder. When Beck told her to calm down and didn't open the door, she BROKE into his house and DEMANDED for an explanation and then INSISTED on stayin' to "meet" said cheerleader. When it turns out the cheerleader was a child, Jade immediately put the blame on Beck that it was his fault he didn't tell her it was a child. When he tried to tell her that he had tried to, she started yelling at him that he had no right to put the blame on her. I seriously think that while Beck could have done better, Jade definitely never made the situation better
