His death hurt us collectively more than any character in the movie, but we should all smile knowing that Polka Dot Man died doing what he always dreamed of. For the first time in his life, he was happy. Isn’t that how a man like him should go?

It's cheap comedy to me. Not even good comedy. Like one of those guys that tries to be funny but he's not quite getting it and everyone is awkwardly laughing and looking among themselves like "wft?" It's an old formula that never worked and never will I don't know why some directors keep doing it. They movie could have been much more than just a bunch of nonsensical gags without a purpose.

I love the character work in the suicide squad I think the biggest problem in the movie is that sometimes james gunn has to much freedom and he just can't keep himself from putting a joke where it doesn't belong like the "where is your mom now?" it would've been such a better scene if it didn't cut to a joke showing exactly how sinister of a mark she left on him. in the end his character was very serious but to often he was played for a laughs and it made his death a lot weaker in comparison (also him dying was a very big cop out because realistically he is the only one capable of damaging starro).
If I directed the movie I would've made him run and be scared of starro and at the end of the fight with ratcachter making starro ocuppied bloodsport would tell him that starro was his mom and make him finish the fight

Pretty intresting facts dude, however I wish we could get a solo movie or tv series that would've taken place before The Suicide Squad movie to learn/know more about him, for all we know IF they made a solo move or tv series about Polka Dot Man then he would fit well as a anti hero were he saves live of the innocents while he kills the bad people like murderers, rapists, etc.
