I don't know this artist, never heard her before. I must have been on another planet. She is awesome, such a distinctive sound. I love, love, love her!!!
@theonearmedbandit1 she's been around for years but she doesnt do alot of promotion. she sings from her soul and through her heart and i have yet to find one that comes close to her sound. i love, love, love her, too!!! :)
Chords?? You want em, my friend Jonathan got em! they are: Chorus D, then Gm then some Bm and A#-5 with some little walk through Am7 A7 to transition back to chorus.
The only downside to this performance is that she only did 1 song. When I found out she was on I was looking forward to it all week. Frankly, I'd prefer Steve Martin to drop a few numbers and for her to do at least 1 more (and maybe Black Joe Lewis do a few more, because I loved him too). Actually annoys me that more people don't know about Rickie Lee. I saw her earlier this year and it was one of the most genuinely soulful, emotional and inspiring performances I've ever seen in the flesh.

SHE'S SO GOOD. I am addicted to her and her songs since I heard her singing in the late 1970's. A great great artist!!!
I love this song!
The great Rob Wasserman on bass
The definitive version, with the duchess at her peak is also on youtube.
Live at the wilton theatre
Pure magic.
Lovely. The bass sounds particularly gorgeous on this also...

Beautiful song ~ I wondered who wrote it before I found the page that said it. Thanks for sharing.
