She recorded a song called "Almost home" for Disney and she always said she hates that song , and there are almost only covers in the "Merry Christmas" album and she herself said it was terrible to record them, despite these tracks have vocals for days especially "Jesus what a wonderful child" which is totally out of this world, and "O Holy night". She has the most beautiful voice I've ever heard and her vocals are completely unmatched but when an artist hates singing songs she hasn't written because she wants to be involved in the whole song creation process deserves a lot more respect, people like her, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson will always be in a higher class compared to simple interpreters or cover singers.

Bruh, one time when I used the word EMBLAZON in my essay, my teacher suddenly asked me if I was GAY because I had just used a MARIAH CAREY word in my essay. I was mortified as hell. The fact that I didn't learn that word from Mariah, but from some book from the 19th century that I read was just hillarious. So when my teacher asked me that question, I had to search for the Mariah Carey song she was referring to (since I only knew her and some of her songs, but wasn't fan at all), so when I had finally found this, I became in love with it. We share a unique pain sadly. I lost my bf, He was killed in a head on collision on his way to work one morning. That morning was the last time I saw alive. The last words we said to each other were I love you babe...
I was so angry with myself. Why didnt I stall him, talk to him more that morning, made him breakfast or hugged him and held onto him more. I blamed myself, partly. Would an extra 5 mins have saved his life?? Instead of feeling all the pain of his loss I tied it up with anger at myself for awhile.
We met in college. We moved in together after college. He was working his first "real" job. We had so many "firsts" together. I stayed in our apartment for another year. I left all the pictures up, everything the way it was. I would be watching tv and look at the clock and wonder what time he would be home and then quickly realize he was never coming home. I would wear his hoodies and sweaters, i could smell him on them. I cried myself to sleep like that, wearing his clothes, many days and nights. It was a very hard and long year. I had decided that when my lease was up and it was time for me to move out that I would box everything up and donate it. Move those good memories of us into storage in my heart and start new.
It was very cathartic.
I still have a few things of his. He still has a Myspace page, that tells you how long ago it was....

I'm not a big Mariah Carey fan, but vocally, she destroyed this track, and the musical arrangements and the lyrics make the song that much stronger
Fun fact: because her contract with Sony was almost over she never finished writing this song because they broke off her writing relationship with him so the part where she is vocalizing she decided not to put lyrics to it out of respect for Walter and ended up making the song so much pure and better.

I lost my then boyfriend though a car accident. I was 21 and he was 24 and our parents didn't know that we lived together as a couple for two years till the announcement of his death ( we lived in a rented apartment). I remember that day when they opened that drawer at the mortuary how I held u and still didn't believe that it was u. This jam somehow healed me it was like u were the one saying this words to me. I moved on after some time and the guy I met showed me flames for a good 10 yrs until we separated and also have a 12 yr old son with him. Baby why did u leave me like that? I know that I would have never gone through half of the things I went through after your passing ,had u still been here.
