- Each morning on our one acre farm in the city of Phoenix, Arizona, we start the day with milking goats, feeding pigs, and gathering eggs.

Hi there! 👋🏻 We live on a 1-acre farm right in the middle of the busy city of Phoenix, Arizona! Our names are Kevin & DaNelle, and we moved here in 2009, when our kids Ethan & Lydia were just 6 & 4 years old 🥰 Over the years we've raised goats for milk, chickens for eggs, built a fish/swim pond, planted fruit & nut trees, and grew a large garden full of veggies. We've also raised a bunch of other animals like pigs, sheep, turkeys, geese, peacocks, and more!
Now that our kids are away at college, we have settled into doing what we love most -- which is raising & breeding goats ethically to improve genetics. But don't worry, we'll forever love our goofy pet goats like Luna the herd queen & Willow the stump lover. We also still love raising chickens for eggs, gardening, tending to the fruit & nut trees, and growing fish in the pond. We use the fresh goat's milk to make cheese, butter, yogurt -- and we use that + everything else we harvest on our little farm to make delicious meals. Having a getaway from the busy world right in our backyard brings so much joy to us each day, and we hope it brings some to you, too. 🥰

I can hardly wait for Willow to have her kids!!! I love watching each family segment on this video...the kids milking the goats, Kevin's pigs and your garden...it gets my mind back in a better place...I find that doing simple things like feeding my goats, satisfying. I love your garden, too!!!

That chicken is broody. You should get her some eggs. It would be fun to have a mama with baby chicks.
They aren't allowed to have a rooster, so none of the eggs will be fertile = no chicks. Sorry.

You need to put food in bowls for each one of the piglets on the ground away from their Mom so all of them can eat the food at the same time.

when i was still living with my family, i started my own vege garden and of course, when i moved away for university, EVERYTHING started producing so much good food 🤤 so while I am upset that im not there to see the fruits of my labour, i do enjoy getting photos of everything my mother pulls from the garden and seeing her use it for dinner 😊

Love seeing the garden!! It always inspires me. We were able to expand our garden this year and I’m SO excited. I started following Growing in the Garden for extra tips. I also loved seeing the cats, especially the one hiding in the garden. And the pigs! So cute.

My birthday is March 28! Right around the corner my favorite UA-camr with be having baby goats. Now that’s a gift! The coronavirus has family and friends staying home for my birthday in Chicago...But this makes up for it! Seeing the goats and your life!
She very hungry! And wanted more snacks! Those piglets are growing so fast and are so cute.... love the chickens and your huge garden looks amazing ! Just make sure when harvesting mulberry to have a bowl. Because I was a kid picking some ended up ruining a outfit cause of the juice! Those poor goat waddling for new snacks is so cute!❤️🥰🐓🐈🐐🐓🐷🐷🐷🐷
