- This is a video about the sea trial and a quick look around our Nordhavn 62. It is about Leslie and Frank starting a new adventure. The opening pictures are of the boat off Savannah Ga with the container ships at anchor in the background.

I just started watching your intro and love your vibe. I've been looking at the Nordhavn 62 since she was first introduced. It was the Trawler that got me offshore. I'm sub'd and looking forward to your adventure (which should include eastern Canada). 🙂

At one time the 62 was considered the finest passage maker under 70 ft. I have to agree.

Thats a very pretty nordhavn, i always thought the ones without a bustle on the back to be much nicer looking...

What is your yachting background? Are you stepping up top a 62 or have you had a similar size before? and is this your first Nordhavn?
Thank you for your interest! Frank is a master mariner but left the sea a very long time ago. We had a Lagoon 46 in Hong Kong but were unable to sail it back to USA so had to sell it. This is our first Nordhavn.
What is the advantage of the boat deck at the bow of the 62 compared to the boat deck at the stern of a 60?
I assume you mean box on deck? We like the boxes because the lines are there and also gear for the anchor.
Oh no, you missunderstood.
I mean what is the advantage having the boatdeck at bow and wheelhouse aft as N63 instead of wheelhouse infront of the boatdeck like a N60 has.
@@OJack0815 For me it is pretty simple. I do not want to be in front of the see saw motion of the vessel. If you are aft of the center your ride is generally better. You do not feel the pitch into the ocean as badly. Also I think it gives a better view of the boat in all sea conditions. The N60 is merely a stretched 55, so the same applies to the 55. Both vessels tend to motor with the bow down also.

beautiful yacht. . What number hull is this 62 as it doesn't have the extension on the stern ? Good luck on your adventures
She has 400 hours on the rebuilt engine. It was completely rebuilt last year. The hull number is 62 04, and yes it has a swim platform not the bussell.

Lovely looking boat. Good luck in her. A couple of well meant obs on the video production. Get lapel mic to use when you record on phone. You opened up the ribbon while yiur eife was talking and drowned her voice out. Yiy also put music over her voice, and finally ... and I speak from.experience on all of these points, check the over sound levels before posting. Nothing worse that having to turn tv volume up and down when tne music is too loud
@@patrickcbf Thank you, we had some problems with sound for sure, but will be more cognizant of our obvious mistakes for the next one.

So exciting! Any chance that you guys will do the BC inside passage and Alaska? Such nice areas up there and it would be great to see a 62 spend some time there.
Its on our list, just not sure when.
