Psalms 12:5 - Foe the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set "you" in safety from "the world" that puffeth at him.
The word oppression only appears in the OT. So I stand with you knowing the finished work of Christ covers all works of the devil. Only believe!

Question.. in Romans 3:21.. is this like Abraham was counted for his righteousness without the law?

The problem with this message is that it doesn't go far enough. Yes, we are saved by grace through faith, and that not of ourselves - that's true, but that is the basic foundation of salvation. The problem is, most pastors stop there but that isn't the end of the story.
The Bible goes on to say that we are to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. If we just accept God's grace and assumed we're saved and then make no effort to grow in Christ then we are like the seed that is sown on the shallow ground, the Truth never takes root and the next thing we know we're in the world again. The Bible warns us repeatedly not to grow sedentary in our salvation. Paul tells us that proof of our having the Holy Spirit is that we produce the fruit of the Spirit. What is that?
    Love
    Joy
    Peace
    Longsuffering
    Kindness
    Goodness
    Faithfulness
    Gentleness
    Self Control
If we're not operating in those modes we have to question whether we've actually fully given our hearts and minds to God through Christ. If we're not on that level what do we have to do? First we need to ask the Holy Spirit who lives in us when we invite Christ into our hearts for help. Second, we need to get in the Word and find out what Jesus and the NT authors have to say about how it's done. Third, and this is where most churches miss the boat, we need to be discipled by elders who already know these things. I almost never see good discipling in the church in this country. I see more support in AA and that's sad. Every new Christian should be given a mentor to help them grow. Jesus mentored his disciples and they, in turn, discipled many others. We should be doing the same.
I'm not saying that this message is wrong, I'm just saying that for a new Christian to hear this message they might be misled to believe that merely believing is all there is to it, but there's so much more! We will never build a strong and REAL relationship with Jesus by stopping there.

Hi there, hope you have heard Part 2 of this teaching, Andrew explains the very point you are making in much detail about the renewing of the mind and the true relationship with God in holiness. This message is just the Part 1. In fact, I heard the Part 2 and was so amazed that I came to hear this Part 1 and it makes so much sense. God bless.

And there is Part 3 and Part 4 as well.

I get it, I'm very familiar w/12 step programs. Remember, they have ONE message, ONE Basic text, ONE steps. The enemy isn't targeting 12 steps like it is Christianity. It's doesn't infiltrate massive amounts of deceitful false teachers to 12 step mtgs.

I respect what is being said...but hell is in the GOSPEL of St Luke. So is it part of the gospel or no? The bad news of hell only makes the good news of redemption more attention worthy if you will.

Hell is mentioned in many parts of the Bible, Matthew 10:28, 16:28, Ezekial, Revelations, Isaiah and it's mentioned in other wording, eternal condemnation...etc.
Your missing the entire point of the message. The "Good News" of the Gospel, is that now man is now free to live no longer in bondage of sin. Sin is death, physically, emotionally and spiritually. The Good News is that there's an outlet, a light in darkness, that if one seeks salvation, they're no longer a slave to the enemy.
Before Yeshua came and spread the Good News, Punishment for sin was death (most sin) because there's different degrees of sin so there's different degrees of Judgement which is found in Leviticus. Either your stoned to death or casted out from your people and land. The Good News is man now has a choice to live and be forgiven after he sins, and that with Salvation, when one believes in his heart, confesses with his mouth of the work, death, burial and resurrection of Yeshua, One is free from eternal condemnation, or hell.
