    I am so like Jeff!!! I get so pissed while going to a store and always get solicited! I tell my Husband if I want cell phone or internet service I'll go to that particular store. But don't approach me at Costco or Sam's Club. The worst is being approached in the parking lots now! Oh and the rounding up thing??? Enough is enough!!!!!

    The Ozempic et al. stigma stems from the meds being created for those with diabetes. Suddenly due to everyone wanting it just for cosmetic reasons, many with diabetes could not get their meds because there was not enough supply for vanity demands as well as medical demands. We had Santa's Secret Workshop growing up in the Boston area.

      It’s insane. I have to call probably 10 pharmacies just to get mine. I have to pay 50 dollars a month. Versus 50 for a three months supply because people sucking it up for weight loss

    • @TheRealHellataz
      @TheRealHellataz 7 місяців тому

      @@carolparks-qn9wisame! I think I got a 3 month supply once. The majority of the time I have to call in my refill every 3 weeks for one box. And battle the pharmacy because I’m ordering too early or if I’m not early enough it’s out of stock and I miss a dose. People don’t get it, if you stop taking it or miss doses all your weight loss and health benefits (like a lower A1C) reverses.

    Tirzepitide is Mounjaro. And as a diabetic I will be on it for the rest of my life. And as far as Oprah goes people were pissed because she said she was using weight watchers and she was taking the shot so weight watchers fired her and removed her from their board.

    I'm on ozempic and I went from 200 lbs to 122.9 I feel better carrying weight around was very hard on me, I'm 63 years old and am disabled so to go out and exercise is not something I can do. My stepdad has diabetes and couldn’t get Ozempic which he’s been on for years because of the Ozempic craze. He’s had to go on a new medication. My mom was so upset. So, I can understand why some people don’t like what’s going on. However, if the pill is only for weight loss I would completely support it. Also, I had Book It and did the same thing 😅

    Jordan, it’s so painful to watch you struggle with your health and not say anything so I’m going to give it a go and hopefully you can receive this as a person who really cares. This may not be the first time you have heard this but I needed to let you know. Breast Implant Illness is a reality for 100s of thousands of women. I was one of those women. The symptoms are real to us but unfortunately the medical field does not recognize it. I went to doctor after doctor after doctor, the same as others who suffered but were not helped. After 18 years of suffering and gaining weight uncontrollably, I found this information and I couldn’t get them out fast enough. Not all surgeons will support your decision so you must find the one that understands. Best decision of my life! I was just like you trying to find an answer, getting sick all the time, weight gain and on and on with the list of issues. Please search it out and I wish you well. Thanks for hearing me out.

    I grew up in the 80s. I spent the night with friends often. I hate that crazy people have taken the fun and innocence away from the kids. My youngest is 26, I used to drop her and her friends off at the mall for the day or the skating rink and never gave it a second thought. Now I would never consider it if I had school age children.

    So my friends daughter sells Girl Scout cookies and this year she had a women purchase $700 +. My friend was shocked at the amount from one person so she asked her if it was accurate, to which the women told her yes. She saves up money throughout the year and buys a ton to
    1. Help out a few of the girls in it with their sales
    But most importantly
    2. For the nursing homes in her area. Because the scouts can’t go in and try to sell there and because a lot of the times they do not get anything like that. I fell in love with that idea!

    I am a 80s kid so sleepovers were very common and like Jordan said the parents rarely knew each other, we just got dropped off and picked back up and that was it.I had so much fun at those sleepovers like playing first to fall asleep and then doing shaving cream on their hand or an egg in their shoe 😂 and I admit it’s those experiences I feel bad that my kids are missing out on but we are just in a different world today and we don’t take those chances that our parents did lol the bad thing is I have heard many stories about friends dad’s or moms doing things at sleepovers to kids so the bad stuff was happening in the 80s it just wasn’t talked about and I don’t think it was as common as today. So many experiences I had that my kids don’t and it’s a shame. My youngest started kindergarten this year and keeps asking for sleepovers at our house or a friends and she doesn’t understand when I tell her we can’t do that with just anyone.

My kids are 16, 14, 11,11,11 and 7 and the only place they have ever slept other than at home or hotel with us is my in laws and that’s only been a handful of times. It was secret Santa workshop. You're right about that. Was in my elementary school. I remember and your mom or dad would give you like five bucks and you would go by little gifts for your mom. Dad. Maybe your grandma grandpa and then you would have them wrapped after you bought them and put a name tag on them and then bring them home and stick them under the tree. I mean it be like a little mirror for your mom. Maybe a magnet for the refrigerator? You know nothing big. Just something little to make you feel special. That's all. Thanks!

    The “stigma” over people using Ozempic and similar drugs for weight loss is not embarrassment, it’s from being shamed for causing drug shortage . I’m diabetic and because of the popularity of these drugs I have a hard time getting my medication. They now limit how much I can get and often when I request a refill I’m told it’s out of stock. I don’t care if people want it for weight loss but if you hear people, who actually need it for their illness, can’t get it then you shouldn’t be shorting the supply. If there’s any stigma it’s from people who need it calling out others who don’t for putting their desire to look good over others who need it so they don’t die.

    The grocery store Roundup charity thing makes it so that the customers donate but the store gets to actually write it off on their taxes as a charity donation instead of you individually writing it off as a charity donation.

    LOL I am a true Gen X child. (59) and when I was a kid it was a flat no if both of my parents did not know the (girl)s. absolutely not. No questions asked! As far as dating not until we were at least 17. LOL but that was a whole different process even before that. 😂

    Yes Jeff, it is called Santa's workshop .... And FYI Santa's workshop has changed a whole lot there are so many more things in it and they are of course more expensive and also I sent my son one year with money to buy his grandparents his aunt and his uncle like he can pick out gifts for his whole family right why did this boy come home with one little thing for each of those people but then five toys for himself smh

    I turned 50 I kid you not all of a sudden I gained so much weight around my stomach (I was a size 8 went to size 12). So, what I did I fasted. I had a window of 4 hours to eat and then fast for 20 hours. You can fast eat 6 fast 18 or eat 8 hour window fast for 16. I dropped 30 pounds in 4 months.

      Same happened to me. At 53-54 tons of weight in the stomach. I tried the I.F. but after two weeks I started to lose hair, had sleep issues, felt really off and didn't lose any weight. I already ate healthy so I can't imagine it was a detox affect, I think it was just too harsh for where I'm at. I'm so glad you were able to drop the weight. Did you have any issues along the way?

    Part of the reason people are embarrassed about using ozempic is there was a shortage for people who have to have it for diabetes.

  • @ExitLight
    @ExitLight 7 місяців тому

    I’m taking Mounjaro for my diabetes and have lost 80lbs and my blood sugar is so much better but I’ve had to wait weeks for my prescription because people are getting it only for weight loss to lose 15 lbs and it’s infuriating that my health suffers because docs give it to lose weight. Now I can understand morbidly obese people taking it, that lends to a lot of health issues, but 15lbs? That should never happen.

    If you’ve had pancreatitis, that’s a contradiction for using Ozempic or that class of medicine. I just had to quit taking it. 😢
