"Theres nothing in his pockets except knives and... wait where are his knives" The one police officer with 17 knives in his leg: he said i could keep them
I was always thinking in the back of my mind "why the hell is Harley on the suicide squad" she's just a crazy woman who hits things. What the hell could Harley do that your average female MMA fighter couldn't, aside from give the movie an excuse to feature the Joker (and even if I'm sure they could've found a way to do it with Deadshot, since he is another Batman villain).
+FatherTime89 the same with Boomerang. The squad was supposed to be the fall guys for taking on missions which the government wouldn't want to be seen doing themselves. E.g., breaking into Arkham. They're not anti-terrorist groups.
lukas wildau what I don't understand is why they choose a bunch of useless (mostly powerless )criminals to save the world instead of the superheroes that captured them to fight an ancient being who wants to destroy the world
18:51 That rant was Needed! When I saw the film, I couldn't believe how he turns a blind eye to her, especially when she Murders innocent people! He Judges the others for being criminals but Doesn't ask questions when his boss guns down her employees.
I know! That's my main criticism of the movie: in order to make the villains appear good they just swaps the roles and makes the good guys act worse than, well worse than Joker himself! I mean, I would have no problem if it was to highlight that hypocrisy exists on both sides but it not! It's lazy and shody writing...
@@anikmonette2140 Waller isn't a good guy. She's a terrible person who endorses slavery and human experimentation. Being on the side of "good" doesn't make you a good guy. The movie's Waller isn't really explored, but the Waller from the comics and Batman Beyond's special would 100% do the stuff she does in this movie. Hell, in the Telltale Batman game she wouldn't let Batman destroy a killer virus that could WIPE OUT THE HUMAN RACE because she could profit off it if it could be turned into medicine. Imo: Waller IS worse than the Joker. Or at least causes damage on a much larger scale.
Why is everyone getting pissed off at Doug for the live action sketches? 1. It's the only way to avoid copyright. 2. He is actually using the actors he has at his disposal. 3. HE HAD A TRAILER FOR A REASON! 4. It's admirable and actually allows him to play with the films ideas.
Pulp Ted The vocal minority are just mad cause they only have CINEMASINS to watch a movie they were never gonna buy cause pirating takes work instead of waiting for it to appear in their subs.
Just so that everyone knows, in the comics, the Suicide Squad was formed as a black ops team. If something happened the villains would get blamed and the good guys lose nothing. They were in no way formed to stop potential mega threats!
Which makes sense, given that they couldn't even slow Batman down at their best. Any "heavy hitter" could safely ignore them, comics or otherwise, and both the characters and the writers *knew* that. Why the movie couldn't just use that reason, we may never really know.
If anyone wants to see a good Suicide Squad movie, check out Assault on Arkham. Don't be fooled by the Batman in the title; while he's involved, it's a Suicide Squad movie at it's core.
Amanda Actress in the review deserves an oscar for not bursting out of laughs when Doug gives that freakout when Amanda said she was right about the Suicide Squad
*Crying from the pain* "Now That's a Knife" Those two lines were the fucking best part of the Review... really the whole part between Walter and Jim was the best.
Something that needs to be pointed out: their introduction for Harley Quinn in this parody review was better and more true to her character than the real movie Suicide Squad.
lol l i didn't get to see the movie all the way through from beginning to end but i know enough of the story to get the review and i kinda feel like the review version was more fun. and your comment was so apropo
The part where the villains need an emotional speech to continue fighting is what hurt me most. I mean seriously how many times have these villains committed crimes and fought the hero’s WITHOUT a fking pep talk? None and ya know why? Cuz like Doug says Villains are the most motivated people ever. They regularly fight the likes of superheroes with powers (or great skills) with just their wits, determination and natural abilities.
The weird thing is that Suicide Squad was originally made to do Black Ops for the government, not beat Superman. There's an entirely different group for that, and Martian Manhunter was on it at one point.
It makes me wonder if Amanda Waller just sold the group as a team against the next Superman, when she was really seeking to create a task force to clean up government messes the public should not know about. Like, for instance the fact that a thousand year old witch escaped and the fail safe device to stop her wasn't activated, because the person in charge was studying her abilities, and testing the potential black ops team against a threat way above their pay grade.
Hold on, TouhouFather. Wasn't there a team called "The Justice League of America" (or something like that...). They were apparently supposed to fight the Justice League if they went rogue.
- Hey, I worked hard to find the worst of the worst! - And uou came across boomerangs, mallets, guns, a petting zoo and a guy who makes fire, who no longer makes fire. I actually lost it completely at this part
rfxone marvall Thor exists in the same universe (same galaxy) as the Guardians so it makes sense that they look similar. All of the movies set on Earth have a similar look as well.
I could see it working, but only if the rest of the movie was as brilliantly-written. However, Joker being written as a non-abusive jerk works out better for Joker appearing, it's just the twist is really crappy, since we knew he's alive.
There are many great quotes in this review: "I'm a Dinosaur"' "Years of pacifism destroyed by tapping on your head." and of course "It's for the fans". But there is one that rises above even the funniest of original quotes: _"Well....the chart says"_
OK, let's list all movies that had sky beams: 1. Hellboy 2. Iron Man 3. Star Trek 4. Captain America 1 5. Transformers 3 6. Avengers 7. Man of Steel 8. Big Hero 6 9. Fant4stic 10. TMNT: Out of the Shadows 11. Independence Day 2 12. Ghostbusters 13. Suicide Squad EDIT: 14. The Return of King 15. R.I.P.D 16. Amazing Spiderman 17. Tron Legacy 18. Maleficent 19. Fifth Element 20. Die Another Day 21. Wreck it Ralph 22. Lego Batman 23. Rogue One 24. Gods of Egypt 25. Die Another Day 26. Raiders of the Lost Arc Now i honestly hope there is no more.
... Why the hell would we do that? We have absolutely no guarantee they'd listen to us or that they don't have any intention on betraying us. Besides, we already have LOADS of other heros to make up for superman, plus the guy who planned well enough to nearly kill him. I'M PRETTY SURE WE'RE GOOD, WALLER.
From what I understand, the idea of the Suicide Squad was supposed to be that they could be expendable assets for whatever nebulous agency Waller works for to use for missions that the JL wouldn't touch or if they needed plausible deniability.
Feel a bit embarrassed for the cast of Suicide Squad - They obviously ALL were duped into genuinely believing the film would be well written and good...but everything worked against them: The direction, plot holes, horrific pacing, terrible editing, etc. It was doomed out of the gate.
"what do you say to the people saying you’re doing this for the attention" "they’re right" Dude that made me laugh more than any thing in Suicide Squad
Gotta say, I am digging the "get around copyright takedown bullshit by just redoing the scenes" approach you've been doing. It can't be easy or cheap, I appreciate you guys pulling it off for the fans. Keep up the good work!
You do realize that pretty much any other replacement is going to be as ridiculous as what they're doing now (say, a puppet show), somewhat flat and even less representative of the actual product (just showing stills of the movie), too expensive to do (a serious scene redo with the quality props and backgrounds to make it not automatically ridiculous), or too time consuming to do (animations), correct? Look, I don't fault you for having problems with their execution of the approach, but the scene redo method probably gets their point across best. To me, it seems like the main problem is their unnecessarily exaggerated and 'comedy' injected portrayal of most scenes, not necessarily the method itself. But then, while I do think that toning things down and going a similar route to AT4W (keep the story at either the beginning or end of the review but not in the review itself) would be good things to do, I'm not too bothered by it personally. If I want old-school Nostalgia Critic, I go watch the old videos or one of the several dozen other people using the same reviewing style as old-school Nostalgia Critic.
I can appreciate the effort and love put into it, but I personally don't enjoy it. I kinda prefer seeing the original movie clips. I can certainly see why you enjoy it, as it IS pure gold, but it's just not my thing personally.
"Negative. Our chart shows that some people prefer it when you sit a desk and do nothing." Is he mocking the people who wants NC to do review without skits?!
Ask Martian Manhunter nicely to remove Clark's lungs through his skin pores. Because J'onn's super strength still exists when he's shapeshifting millions o tiny tentacles to invade his body and rip it apart.
I haven't been able to get a hold of the whole movie yet, but even just the clips I've seen look infinitely better than SS. Even the premise is way more interesting.
No. Even with assault on Arkham.... I like comics, but you must remake their story to get them into good movies. And it's indeed, not cool at all when animation's story is on par of the movie's story.
No! The acting and effects are so much worse and bad in this review than in the actual movie. Seriously doug and his team cannot act! So, I prefer the actual movie compared to this review.
Channel 36X Yep. And it has a better Joker than in Suicide Squad. I mean Jared Leto is the worst Joker ever made. Even fucking Cesar Romero, who refused to shave his mustache, was a better Joker than Jared Leto.
Yeah at least it was written a lot better and the visuals didn't look like they were inspired by hot topic or Spencer's gifts, besides that the Joker's presence was actually good and he didn't feel forced in and Harley was important besides just being a fanservice floozy.
I definitely hope we see more of her, the other actresses are good at being silly but she seemed to have more dramatic weight and tighter comedic timing.
For those who don't know Bill is a character who was introduced in their Smurfs 2 review as a character who has been given a ton of backstory with none on screen. Basically, he's a character who's motives are "perfectly explained" but the audiences don't understand at all.
KyleTheAwesome yeah bro, I still cry when I remember him dying in the battlefield earth review and cheered when he got resurrected Jesus style in the next review
What do you live in a cave? Bill and I have hung out for years he's the guy that got me off speed by nodding and humming in my general direction. Great guy, seriously. Went out to Red Lobster with him last week
Really? He's been around for years, at this point. You could make the argument that he's one of the OG figures in the early UA-cam years. That said, I do still kind of prefer his earlier work.
I have been watching youtube since elementary school and as a college student now I hate to admit how long it took me to watch his content. His channel was talked about a lot but I just never watched his stuff, don't really know why though to be honest lol
Actually, when I saw the movie in the theater, I just blurted out as soon as Slipknot stepped out of his car that he was SO dead, since he was the only one not have gotten any sort of background or development/foreshadowing prior to the team getting together. Mostly cuz I know any new version of the Suicide Squad will ALWAYS have that 1 character that is just supposed to be the sacrifical lamp for Waller to prove that she means business. It's a thing I'm kinda split on in every rendition of this... Concept. Like, it's sorta needed to convince the other characters that they should obey Waller, but at the same time, they often make it a bit too obvious who is gonna end up dying. Actually, Assault on Arkham did this a lot better, since the very first scene in the movie is right when they get their collars on, so you legit don't really know who it's gonna be (well, other than Harley ofc. they would never do that to the 2nd most marketable character in the movie :P) xD
"we're doing it for the fans- cutting out what they like the most!" new movies and remakes in a nutshell. "you know that thing that really made that franchise what it was? well we're not doing that. we're going to do something else instead. you might be tempted to say, 'well at least change will be a breath of fresh air' but oh-ho no it won't be. It'll be implemented in the weakest way possible just to make mockery of the past under the guise of being artsy."
@@brandonsanchez8197 You'd think so, but the fact that Zack Snyder told people that they were living in a fantasy world if they believed that Batman doesn't kill shows that people can even mock the good parts.
MegaSoulHero Basically, I would've actually preferred the joker as the villain, maybe stealing the device that can explode the team's heads, and threatening to do it unless the team steals 50 tons of dynamite.
RadioOppy1 it should be noted, that Harley is a very VERY well written character in overall DC canon, and while she has no super power, she is an expert in acrobatics, fighting, weapons, gadgets etc. She is usually portrayed as extremely ditzy, but Harley is also insanely intelligent, her skills are very often regarded as equal with Nightwing and Oracle/batgirl in terms of fighting ability and computer knowledge. She has over the years moved from villain, generally anti-hero and in some cases flat out hero. And yeah, she is a fan favorite character in DC, no doubt. The movie though.......Urgh..... Her best friend/lover is generally Poison Ivy, both of them together with Cat Woman often group up as a anti-hero squad or thief gang.
Well yeah she was included for fanservice... I think you're a little confused on what kind of fanservice but yeah. If you cared enough to read the comics you would know she is one of the main characters. It's retarded seeing people complain about these movies not giving us what we want and then complain about Quinn being in this movie
Tinsel :D I agree Harley Quinn is so well written she makes the older characters like Batman and her on /off again boyfriend the JOKER look underwritten because Harley Quinn for a comic book character has changed and grown so much and they have not. Harley Quinn makes everyone else link DC feel under written because they are still doing thier original behaviour pattern whereas she has been allowed to break and change hers shame the other characters don't get a decent character development and a plot. Joker really needs to break his character pattern as he comes off as just another clown wielding psychopath with a knife which is dull and the Joker should not be dull. Batman is the same Yawn no change there Daiman Wayne aside.
Fun fact: Fanservice is the main reason she even exists as much. She was gonna be a one-off character in the animated series but the fanservice was so damn strong that they made her a crucial character in the DC universe.
The laugh is, in the first animated suicide squad, they introduced every member with a short but cool intro, so when Amanda shows off the bombs, it's more a shock, while in the movie, it's so obvious
How much you wanna bet if they got Jim to be the Joker. Hell Mike Matei's joker from the Batman episode of AVGN it'd be a better Joker than Leto Leto COMPLETELY missed what make the Joker such a good character Say what you want about the Killing Joke moive but Mark Hammil still knew the role good enough to work with the issues it had Nicholson was crazy enough to pull of the charatcer in teh Burton films Ledger turned the Joker into something of an entity that couldnt be ignored when e enters the room Leto just made the Joker into thug with stupid grills on his teeth.
I agree with Critic here on the Joker and Harley relationship in this movie. Ok yeah, I don't like it when anyone romanticizes abusive relationships but if you actually make a crazy couple genuinely love each other without intentionally hurting each other, it can make a good crazy love story. And Harley doesn't have to be the same character all the time! Especially if Batman and Joker don't stay the same.
I also agree, it was kind of cool when the joker was walking away, then returned to join Harley, like some sort of alternate timeline. Of course, that was scrapped by Birds of Prey, but never mind.
I agree that this version of Joker and Harley shows more about two crazy people in love and them not caring what people think of them while enjoying the praises towards...if any
take natural born killers. and possibly hancock both stories the concept (put these ideas in a knitted winter hat shake them up and pour them out put in a solution of 32% adam west batman with Julie newmar catwoman. a big pinch of eartha kitt catwoman and a bit of michelle pfeiffer cat woman at least the sewing bit.) add in martin sheen and sissy spacek in badlands as a garnish. oh my god i am sorry i lost the thread but it was primarily about dysfunctional relationships in movies. thank you i loved your comment about the ncritic and crew review of this movie and your ideas and thoughts on the subject were channel awesome
nostalgia interviewer: how do you feel about people saying that you're only playing the joker so you'll get attention joker jim: they're right that part was funny cause it's true
Yes, but they had to change it last minute to Brisby to avoid legal problems with the company that made the frisby. In the book its Frisby, in the movie it's Brisby.
oh Yeah, figured I would re-iterate what Suicide Squad was supposed to be. They are intended to be a black ops team operating in the interest of the U.S. government; if anything goes wrong, they can be terminated on the spot either due to failure, getting captured. Also they can take the blame for everything publicly. It is not a prerequisite that the Suicide Squad participate in well intended or morally righteous causes. Anything Uncle Sam wants he gets and has an entire black ops team comprised of people that have nothing to lose, perfectly expendable, publicly hated or feared with no strings attached. That was the original premise for suicide squad.
Karl Marx The biggest crime this movie did was ruin Amanda Weller's character, she was the BIGGEST IDIOT IN THE MOVIE. Everything she did is everything the real Amanda would pretty much "not" do, I mean this is the chick who can match with fucking Batman and Lex "FUCKING" Luther.
@@ki11aqueen5 While I might be willing to maybe let "having the team be an anti-superman team" go because she could be lying to her superiors so she can use them as a black-ops deniability team. The fact she never had anything to quickly destroy the Sorceress heart beyond "stabbing it". Giving her more then enough time for her brother to make that a moot point (in this case, it's also understandable, she never figured she had a brother who could do that sort of thing, but you'd think after showing just how easily Sorceress can get around, she'd have a better method for killing her alot quicker before she can do anything damaging like....oh I don't know, ASSASSINATING THE PRESIDENT, something they feared superman and whoever could replace him could do. She'd want her dead as quickly as possible then just "poking" a supernatural heart, and even if the quick method failed, it's the thought that counts). And of course not having Flagg just SHOOT Harley the moment he made it clear the remote wasn't activating her head bomb (which HISHE made a point, to point out). Yeah it kind of made her stupider then canon. Yeah she's not infallible, neither is Lex Luthor and Darkseid for all his genius tends to let his nihilism, arrogance and godhood invisibility lead to his downfall a good amount (especially against foes who've shown to have a DECENT SHOT OF KILLING HIM, like say SUPERMAN, being one of the few foes Supes doesn't have on his NO KILL POLICY, Lex is the only one so far who is PUSHING the limit of Supes not just killing him, being the point where he becomes the monster . But these's are some rookie level mistakes for someone of her position and of course skill to be making. I don't blame the actress who fit the look and COULD act like Waller had she had a better script anyway (Like the chick who plays Wonder Woman, as shown in WW's own movie where she got all these's things and a better director to direct). Hope she get's another go with Waller in those same conditions as WW was able to.
Waller's premise of being able to stop Superman also doesn't make sense, because how would a crazy woman, a human/crocodile hybrid, a dumb Australian guy who throws stuff at people, a guy who is a very good shot with mundane firearms, a haunted pyrokinetic who refuses to fight, a sword fighter, and some asshole who climbs things defeat a god-like alien with incomprehensible strength, speed, and durability?
The problem with 'Joker', is that, while an amazing movie, it's not The Joker. Aside from a few names and the makeup it has nothing whatsoever to do with that character or even the Batman universe. The Leto Joker is actually a more faithful interpretation.
@Dylan Sharp Actually I like to think of the Joker movie like that The whole point of the joker is that any sane person can go insane with just one bad day Throughout the joker movie we see just how bad of a day that joker has which leads him to his insanity. Similar to with Spider-Man homecoming While both films take liberties with the characters they still remember the heart of what makes them them
I remember watching Suicide Squad with a couple of friends, and leaving the theater asking "What the hell did we just watch?" SO it's surprising to hear NC say SOMETHING nice about it. I thought his funniest reviews, like this one, are for movies he HATED. And it was AWESOME to see you in person at last year's Fanime, Doug!
A 50 some year old Warner Bros. producer went to Hot Topic after seeing Guardians of the Galaxy and thought that a universe that barely has its heroes established, needs a P-13 crack house movie.
The enormous advantage was than guardians of the galaxy was set IN SPACE !...and this...are we sure this isnt some kind of Resident evil-Escape from new york crossover fan fiction?
I realize this is an old comment but, Group of weirdo renegades/mercenaries are captured/brought together and have to work together to escape a prison then beat a bad guy and by doing so come to consider each other family. Also the timing of the movie. It was I think weeks after GG became a hit.
Oscar Ramos 80's music soundtrack, anti heroes coming together to form a group that does good,I don't consider it a rip-off but there was no other reason to choose the Suicide Squad as the third DCEU movie if not the success of GotG
@@chocoberryvanillacake4297 Actually, I was more thinking of CJ Collins when he met that Harley Quin cosplayer for chaos and mayhem! You know? The best reason to meet up!
eh this is the problem with the critic, he comlains about bad movies and then makes bad movies i think most of what he says is correct but soemtimes he fails to look deeper into a story at the expense of a lame joke that goes no where
Jim Jarosz playing Jim playing Jared Leto playing Joker is a so much better Joker than Jared Leto playing Joker. Try to say this three times real fast. RISPONDI
Random-ass person who isn't even an actor plays the role of a professional actor playing his role in a movie better than the a professional actor playing a role in a movie.
It's so stupid how they tried to re-frame this idea to be about stopping Superman just because. It's not even necessary! You know what a disposable group of superpowered villains with low-tier powers would be better for? Terrorism! Other villains! Sending people to fight in warzones! Stuff on their level that is too dangerous for normal soldiers, that's why they're the SUICIDE Squad, because they were sent on SUICIDE missions, not because they're some last line of defense against the most powerful and morally sound god-damn superhero in the world! No. If Superman turned evil, you know who you should be going for? Fucking Lex Luthor, the guy who managed to BS something that actually was strong enough to kill him! Screw the guys who lost that you have in custody, if you want to stop someone THAT strong then your only hope is to either hope you can somehow find someone stronger or to MAKE something stronger! ....... Or just use Kryptonite which would also sort-of ruin the point of this group fighting Superman because why would you trust villains with something that important?
Right? That aspect of the movie was so pointless. This should have been like an indie type of film with a contained plot. Instead they blew it up to eleven for no darn reason.
It feels like someone looked at Guardians and was like "Hey, you know how this film is really neatly self-contained but still really well-loved? Let's just throw in as many recognizable character names as possible and just have them not do anything for no explained reason the entire film!" Like Enchantress aside, you know who would have made a good villain for this film? The effing Joker! And then they'd have an actual reason for Harley Quinn to be there, since she'd know a lot of his tricks and stuff. In fact, that probably was one of the original scripts or cuts of the movie before it was re-shot and re-edited multiple times for no reason whatsoever.
dracocrusher EXACTLY!! Maybe at the end she betrays the team and leaves with him, or decides to stay with the team and tells Joker to flip off, but do something with the Joker darnit! I remember seeing set photos from when this movie was in production and they showed the stand ins for Enchantresses's goons, so I think that was part of the plot from the beginning (hopefully not because that shows David Ayer's stupidity.) I thought that her part would have been like a small side story and be used to introduce magic to pave the way for Justice League Dark or something like that, but noooooo.
+Tony3Productions I imagine what probably happened was something like this: Exec 1: Hmm... so we've got Joker as a villain with the enchantress, but people didn't react well to Jared Leto getting the part. Any thoughts? Exec 2: What if we write him out of the movie? Exec 1: We can't, that's insanity! Without Harley's connection to the Joker, why would anyone care about Enchantress? Exec 2: Let's just make Enchantress a part of the team and then have her betray them! Exec 1: You're a madman! That's brilliant! Wait, I know, if Enchantress is on the team then that must mean they needed someone that strong to take out Superman and we can loop around to the Batman v Superman thing about how Superman's a giant threat! Exec 2: Now you're getting it! And since we're name-dropping Superman, we might as well throw Batman into the mix as a cameo as well. After Batman v Superman becomes a success, people will eat that shit up! Exec 1: Yes! Give this man a giant raise! And while we're at it, we might as well use what few clips we'll have of the Joker to set up a future batman movie or something as well, because of course everyone's going to love Harley Quinn and be into her enough to be curious about her getting out of prison at the end, right? Exec 2: Makes sense to me!
Exactly. I was extremely disappointed that they went the Portal in the sky route. The could have made Joker or other characters the villains... Like Idunno, Staggs men doing evil stuff or against the League of assassins or something else!
I dunno why, whenever I see the scene where Harley is desperately attempting to convince the other members of the suicide squad to believe her that the joker is alive, and the crock says I'm a dinosaur, I always think he's saying I believe you Harley.
You know what would have been a good twist? If instead of The Joker busting out Harley it was Poision Ivy. She and Harley where friends (and maybe lovers I don't remember) and it would play on the audiences expectations, be a nice nod to fans and draw intrigue for newbies.

10:05 "You can keep the knife." *Stabs guard.*
Okay, that actually sounds like something the real Joker would say and get a kick out of. Nice line.
Then he laughs like Woody Woodpecker
Yeah, it actually made me wonder if that line was in the movie but then I realized there was no way Suicide Squad could have had a scene that funny
"Theres nothing in his pockets except knives and... wait where are his knives"
The one police officer with 17 knives in his leg: he said i could keep them
It was good. I think under the right circumstances, the anal beads joke would work too. But we dont really see sexual jokes from the joker.
True actually
Katana had more lines in this than in the entire movie lol.
FleurVonConspicua I mean supposedly she could only say "I'm not a thief" 😂😂😂
Katana had more character on Arrow than Suicide Squad, lol.

Seriously.
Cute naval piercing though.

Gotta be honest, Jim is a pretty great joker, he has the laugh down for it
Jim is awesome. I don't think I even need 2 see this movie. Lol.
Also, "Give this to my girlfriend. You can keep the knife" was a pretty good Joker line.
Jim also does a terrific Jared Leto impression of him as the Joker. He would’ve been better in the real movie than Leto 😅
Jim has been consistently good in every review they've had him in. More Jim, please!
Reminds me more of Jim Carrey's Riddler tbh.
You got a black woman to play a black woman instead of putting Malcolm in drag? That's weird.
They already had him play deadshot AND Bill, though.

And the little girl

Bill's the best!
He already plays at least 4 characters in the review. Though him playing Waller could be amusing.

Well done! You scripted a better joker!
I agree. Better than the stupid pencil magic trick in The Dark Knight. Well, well, well.

The pencil magic trick was stupid. It was INTENDED to be stupid.

"Fan-service!"
seems accurate

being immune to poison is a pretty lame power how often do you run into a man with poison
Don't be shocked if you see that in a comic someday

Was that a There will be blood reference
Why is everyone getting pissed off at Doug for the live action sketches? 1. It's the only way to avoid copyright. 2. He is actually using the actors he has at his disposal. 3. HE HAD A TRAILER FOR A REASON! 4. It's admirable and actually allows him to play with the films ideas.
5. They are a lot of fun! (Well, for me at least)

I think Croc got much more lines here as well.
No... we know why; Guardians of the Galaxy... that's why.
Silver Comics you're right on ALL of that.
But hollywood has to make everything the end of the world and ruined one of DC's best teams. Good job Warner Brothers.
If anyone wants to see a good Suicide Squad movie, check out Assault on Arkham. Don't be fooled by the Batman in the title; while he's involved, it's a Suicide Squad movie at it's core.

Those two lines were the fucking best part of the Review... really the whole part between Walter and Jim was the best.
Is it just for me or the sentence given by the Jim as the Joker "You can keep the knife" and stabs the man is something the Joker would certainly do?
Rodrigo Bertini yeah it does
That certainly fits.

Rodrigo Bertini Yep. He can make even the simplest of puns into something dark and fucked up.
Something that needs to be pointed out: their introduction for Harley Quinn in this parody review was better and more true to her character than the real movie Suicide Squad.

Like, for instance the fact that a thousand year old witch escaped and the fail safe device to stop her wasn't activated, because the person in charge was studying her abilities, and testing the potential black ops team against a threat way above their pay grade.
athroughzdude that sounds way interesting if you ask me

Gotta say, I am digging the "get around copyright takedown bullshit by just redoing the scenes" approach you've been doing. It can't be easy or cheap, I appreciate you guys pulling it off for the fans. Keep up the good work!
Troggie42 it's cringy as all hell to be honest. really hinders my enjoyment

"What's her superpower?"
"FAN SERVICE."
Fan service is the only reason she was in the movie.
... she was in the comic suicide squad too but ya she was there cause everyone wanted to see Harley.

It works in the lego games.

Anab Samatar I'm do sorry but I must nitpick! This has bothered me for a while. The name of the mouse in Rat's of NIMH is Mrs. FRISBY!
That could've made for a WAY more interesting movie than "save the world from a super villain with a sky beam".
@@paulman34340 what did Amanda do in the movie that was dumb?
"Joker" is the opposite of Suicide Squad, and I love DC for that.
It was amazing! Exceeded my expectations.
The problem with 'Joker', is that, while an amazing movie, it's not The Joker. Aside from a few names and the makeup it has nothing whatsoever to do with that character or even the Batman universe. The Leto Joker is actually a more faithful interpretation.
@Dylan Sharp Actually I like to think of the Joker movie like that
The whole point of the joker is that any sane person can go insane with just one bad day
Throughout the joker movie we see just how bad of a day that joker has which leads him to his insanity. Similar to with Spider-Man homecoming
While both films take liberties with the characters they still remember the heart of what makes them them
Anyone else think the guy playing joker in this review is fucking awesome? XD
the mean the guy playing jarred Leto playing joker?
yes hes simply gold, shud b in Hollywood
Meh
ya
Jim as "Jared Leto playing the Joker" is a better Joker then actual Jared Leto playing the Joker.
ChibiGeeBee and both do a better job than Heath Ledger
masterofthewicked89 Nah Heath was better than Leto
masterofthewicked89 heath is a legendary joker
How would you know? How would anyone know? He was nearly completely cut from the movie.
ChibiGeeBee Literally anyone would be a better Joker than Jared Leto. Even Wilford Brimley.
The Harley Quinn pout face was too spot on XD
Harley Quinn: Bill!
Harley Quinn: let’s go home
Bill: 😎
I am dead
mmm-hmmm.
That's so Bill!
Dillon Batista it is so bill
I remember watching Suicide Squad with a couple of friends, and leaving the theater asking "What the hell did we just watch?" SO it's surprising to hear NC say SOMETHING nice about it. I thought his funniest reviews, like this one, are for movies he HATED.
And it was AWESOME to see you in person at last year's Fanime, Doug!
Joker: Normal ending
Bill: 100% complete ending
MrGamernova kinda like Batman Arkham Knight
RiNickulous Productions Yeah, but Arkham Knight was one hell of a step up.
Mhmmmmmmmmmmm.
Brian Humerez I was just referring to the ending was different by getting 100%
MrGamernova OK I missed something. who the hell is bill?
"The professor and Mary-Anne."
Okay, that was pretty well delivered.
Who are those though?
@@aminashehu8628 Two of the characters from an old show called Gilligan's Island.
Jim is soooo good in this. I love how he went from being the prop guy to one of the best actors the show has.
A 50 some year old Warner Bros. producer went to Hot Topic after seeing Guardians of the Galaxy and thought that a universe that barely has its heroes established, needs a P-13 crack house movie.
Can you please explain or elaborate on how it's a Guardians of the Galaxy rip off?
The enormous advantage was than guardians of the galaxy was set IN SPACE !...and this...are we sure this isnt some kind of Resident evil-Escape from new york crossover fan fiction?
Zack snyder's wife needs to be fired...DOES SOMEBODY DARES OR THOUGHT ON THAT?
I realize this is an old comment but,
Group of weirdo renegades/mercenaries are captured/brought together and have to work together to escape a prison then beat a bad guy and by doing so come to consider each other family.
"YOU WERE RIGHT?!?!?!"
"Don't say jiggy! I literally invented jiggy! "
That killed me! XD
Wicky wicky wild wild west?
"I'm going to replace the Joker with the one character I know would get a gigantic reaction!"
Me: "Who? Kefka Palazzo?"
Kefka is basically the Joker of the FF universe so I wouldn't doubt that
@@chocoberryvanillacake4297 Actually, I was more thinking of CJ Collins when he met that Harley Quin cosplayer for chaos and mayhem! You know? The best reason to meet up!
Batman beyond ? ... mark hamill as the joker ?!
The irony is that this skit was better written than the actual movie.
eh this is the problem with the critic, he comlains about bad movies and then makes bad movies
i think most of what he says is correct
but soemtimes he fails to look deeper into a story at the expense of a lame joke that goes no where
And better cinematography.
Come on, this rewiew is a mess, the plot don't make sense, the jokes are all over the wrong places and the flow..... oh, I get it now.
so uh you're saying suicide squad was a good movie and it was comic accurate
it is a good movie -_-
Jim Jarosz playing Jim playing Jared Leto playing Joker is a so much better Joker than Jared Leto playing Joker. Try to say this three times real fast.
RISPONDI
Oof
thisthisthis. I won!
He even got his own unique laugh down. I think Jim would be a great fit for playing The Joker one day.
Let's just throw in as many recognizable character names as possible and just have them not do anything for no explained reason the entire film!"
Like Enchantress aside, you know who would have made a good villain for this film?
+Tony3Productions
I imagine what probably happened was something like this:
Exec 1: Hmm... so we've got Joker as a villain with the enchantress, but people didn't react well to Jared Leto getting the part.
I think it would have been too earlier for that. If it was the second Suicide squad, I can see that working out better.
They are lovers in the new 52 comics
I feel as though it would have been completely out of nowhere
AT Productions DAMN IT!!!!! Can't they just be best friends?
Aceson oh thank god.
