I'm not so sure he could have. Both wearing skis. Once the kid let go with one hand, probably would have fallen. The guy in the chair should've had control of the kid in the first place.
Awesome save. But… I simply can’t understand why so many people don’t bother to put down the bar. In some cases when I put down the bar someone else on the chairlift feel annoyed. I mean, why? Do they think putting down the bar is pussy move? Or that putting down the bar makes them feeling like trapped in jail? I just can’t understand. This year in park city, a ski patrol on the lift didn’t pull down the bar, a tree fell down and hit him, then he fell off the chairlift and died. Even then there’re lot of people don’t bother…
Putting down the bar isn't pussy I don't really care honestly if somebody wants to while I'm on the chair with them go for it. The only time I could ever see anyone falling off a lift because of no bar is if your the scarecrow from wizard of oz... You know the one that needs a brain? That being said I've been skiing every year for the last 10 years 100+ ski trips and I've seen some shit, medivac choppers and those don't come unless someone is dying and none of those was because someone slipped off a lift. They should also remove all the tree's possibly the steep slopes and drops so we can all ski safely. Just joking If you need all this safety you should be golfing or something like all the other 80-year-olds. Want to be safe at the ski resort, best option is wearing a helmet. If you can't make it to the top of the mountain without putting the bar down, are you sure you could make it down the mountain without hitting a tree or falling to your death? Possibly find a new sport.
@@itac0i 100+ ski trips in 10 years doesn't mean shit. You didn't see doesn't mean it didn't happen. Even if you ski 1000+ trips in 10 years it's still a negligible sample compared to how many people skis. What you see really doesn't count that much. I've skied even more than you in just last several years FYI. And I've seen more than one case during windy days when the lift suddenly stopped and it starts to swing back and forth. Also your arguments make no sense. Whether someone can hit a tree or falling down a cliff to death has nothing to do whether he/she should put down the bar. It's a simple logic. Sure I can drive safely without buckling up, and it will probably be fine for years, until it doesn't. Skiing is already an exciting/dangerous enough sport relatively speaking, I would just minimize the risk as much as I can so I can enjoy more for longer time. Pulling down the bar is one of few things that cost close to zero effort but with much more safety. But of course I think the risk-reward concept might be too complicated for you, you know, who needs a brain, like scarecrow from wizard of oz...
@@chaoshi2395 I'm sure if a 100 mile an hour gust of wind came to make my chair do 360's I could probably hold on to the back and not fall. He would probably fall, definitely would use one if he came with me
I was at Park City (Canyon side) that day 1/2/2023 when that accident happened and the Orange Bubble lift is closed due to that death. From that day on, I put down the bar on every chairlift I rode. When people got annoyed, I told them what happened in Park City that day.
@@itac0i That park city death happened because a tree fell down and hit the chairlift cable and then the chairlifts start to swing like crazy. That guy didn’t put down the bar and got bumped out and died. The bar is like the seat belts in your car. If you don’t run into an accident, the seat belt is probably not used for the entire life and you will be fine. But there are things out of our control. The bar is like the seat belt, it can save people‘s lives when these extremely rare situations happen.
I skied years w 2 small children on 1 chair, there is no way this is possible if the child is obedient and the parent diligent, I just don't understand how! Should b investigated, maybe the parent is trying to have an accident for lawsuit or to get rid of the kid or the kid is disobedient & mindless and another parent who does not discipline.
No it’s just bc they didn’t put the bar down, and with their pants being slippery on the seat. He could’ve easily bent down to fix his snow shoes, or look down and started sliding. Luckily the parent or person with him caught him or he would’ve died. But if the other person leans down to pull him up then he would fall as well. It’s not an uncommon thing if the child doesn’t know what could happen
Why couldn't the adult just pull him back up to the chair? Fortunately he only had to fall a short distance and with all that fresh powder he would have been fine anyway.

I really do not ski much but how the hell did he get into the situation in the first place .
If the kid didn't learn how to get on a chairlift and stay there on the chairlift, he shouldn't have been there in the first place.
Why didn’t the person sitting in the lift help him?
They were, who do you think the crowd was telling to move the lift?
Because he was only 8ft up and nothing but snow to kand on.. he probably was telling him to let go
"Stop the lift! We need him to fall 30 feet instead of 10 feet!" 🙄
Bellissimo...salvataggio perfetto...complimenti....!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
Наверное, не я одна недоумеваю, почему нельзя было парня подкатить ближе к спасателям. Слава Богу, что все закончилось хорошо. А парень силён!
Ja comeraden.
Не так просто "подкатить", когда "водитель" сидит в нескольких сотнях метров отттуда)
мне интересно, чем занималась ‘мамочка’ , что такое могло произойти 🙂
Uh, wow... this kid's grip is insane!
Brings new meaning to hanging on for dear life
This is a parents’ nightmare. So glad it was not too high!
Why didn't the person in the chair help him?
It's snow! It can't be that hard of a landing !
😂😂😂 how the hell did he even get himself into that mess in the 1st place lmaooo and the length of time he held on is impressive.
Just landing in the fresh snow on the steep slope would have been best, and it would have saved the boys arms
I hate it when a video ends at the best part. Would have liked to see the rescue.
Omg.
They only had to let it keep moving a bit longer.
This is why I’m terrified of ski lifts
最悪の事態だよ!しかし、皆がなんとかしようと、いざというときに備えて集まり備える事に感動する。
What a great team effort the only problem I had was the person doing the video. Keep the camera on the kid
Blessed Jesus Christ. Thank you.
But on the other hand if I bought my grandpa who was a world war I fighter pilot I don't know if he could hold on any more of these days.
Was the boy ok ?
Sometimes that bad situation can bring bring some of youre strongest ability. He hold for how many minutes??
People can be wonderful.
That's standard
Where was this?
Bogus Basin, Idaho
I love the way how they rescue him and the adult does nothing😂 The other way is putting this 25 kg boy back on his seat.
Wow he survived a fall of like 6 feet.
@AmericanPatriot14 huh
@AmericanPatriot14 lol whatever you say, chief
@AmericanPatriot14 have a great day!
@@EnjoySackLunch what?
@@lloydchristmas1086 Samsonite. I was way off!
God bless all the rescuers.
People on ground help but adult on little guys chairlift didn't do much
Всё таки тама катаются физически крепкие люди.
Why couldn't the adult just pull him back up to the chair? Fortunately he only had to fall a short distance and with all that fresh powder he would have been fine anyway.
Omg what a strong boy but just let that ski lift go through to a lower part for him to let go
Дякую людям, які врятували хлопчика!❤❤❤
You will do anything to hold on to your life
Im wondering why the other person couldn't pull him back up. Nevertheless, I'm glad everything worked out.
The guys in front of that chair still didn't put the bar down😂
Yes because they are not stupid enough to need it
Most of the lifts I ride don’t even have the bars
