We were fed up with this poorly designed chicken waterer. We decided to make a DIY version with these great little watering cups from Rent-A-Coop (about $4 each) and a bucket from Tractor Supply ($3.50). So far it's working great and our water is staying MUCH CLEANER! HOORAY!

Yes our 2 gallon galvanized metal one from tractor supply leaked as well after about a month. Wasn’t cheap either I think it was about $30. This is a better system.

So, throughout the cold weather, how did it work? We live in Utah and it freezes. I'm looking for a better watering system where we have 20+ ladies. Yes, those galvanized ones are junk.

They will jump ontop the bucket and shit on it. Gets old cleaning it off
