Listen, I know this project is a disaster but if you enjoy watching train wrecks please consider becoming a patron & support my chaotic energy 🌟 Thanks for watching!
Same thing happened to me one time with my dremel and "melting" cardboard paste. It's almost like the accumulating paste that lines your molars while eating crumbly crackers, but you don't get the reward of scraping it off and eating it in the end.
The best projects are the ones that fight you tooth and nail for every bit of ground gained. I also love the little wood shop, I'm excited that after 3 years of living out of state, for work I'm finally transferring back home, so I can be in my own woodshed again, making sawdust! This was a fun watch, your sense of humor had me rolling at the bird/younglings part lol
Haha wow I hope that’s true that the best projects fight back…because this one has been kicking and screaming 🤣 I’m so excited for you to have space to create! It can be a rare but helpful thing! And hahaha thank you - always happy to hear I made someone laugh 😆
Everything about this video is legit for both crafters and YTers haha. I really relate to everything happening here and go through it almost every project I think. Dealing with outside noise and light when filming. Camera falling over, or not even recording, batteries dyeing. Not having the right tools, running out of supplies, under estimating how long something will take, things not working out like they did in my mind, cutting or burning myself... man you really capture the reality of all this for sure.
Haha thank you Troy! It’s just the way life goes and we gotta take it all in stride. Makes the finished project even more meaningful!! Thanks again for watching 🙂
It's good to know that there is a better bit for cardboard when using a dremel. Hope the pupper is feeling better! Good luck with the rest of the build!
Love the recycling/upcycling aspect and scifi inspiration is always a plus :D Looking forward to part 2 (maybe 3!) Have you ever seen Epic Cardboard Props? You might get some ideas from that channel if you choose to torture yourself with layered cardboard again.
Haha thank you! The workshop gets absolutely amazing light for filming if I say so myself 👌 And hey if you want to check out how it was made go look at Nic Taylor Woodworking UA-cam!
@@RaqrexArt will do! Always love a bit of woodworking. Live in the city though so probably won't have room for one in the backyard :P will have to stick to the basement workshop/laundry/storage room :P it's also cold down here though so close enough!

Wow, that's coming along great. The Modge really gave it some weight. Also, I'm back! Been so busy lately. Even got married. But back to trying to make stuff and your channel is always a great inspiration.
Woohoo! Welcome back and congrats! And hey I'm so happy to hear I have inspired you. That is always really special to hear 🥲 Boba is a mess now but I have high hopes for the finished product!
@@RaqrexArt thank you! And all art starts out not looking great. I'm working on a cover for my game and it took a moment but now it's really coming together. It just takes time and elbow grease, sometimes or many times starting over, but I'm confident mini Boba will get there.

Aww yay! I saw that he made a video about Adepticon but I haven’t watched it yet. Ninjon is such a fun guy! Also thank you - I’ve had some more set backs but the last few days I have made a lot of progress on Boba
I don’t really see it as recycling…just a very pleasing and more efficient storage technique! Also…you can tell you’re a new Dremel owner…you still keep it in the case!
Great video as always !! OMG I tried the dremel on wood too long ago, between dust and noise it was a disaster 😱 The whole room got dirty and my hand only stopped shaking after an hour 😅 I have not used it anymore.
Haha I bet! My body felt like it was shaking for days. I think the Dremel might work best for me on softer materials or small details in the future. And hey thank you!! 😊
First off, you’re super attractive..not gonna lie about that. But second and more importantly, what do you do with all your projects and builds? Do you store them or display them somewhere? Do you destroy them when you need more space? Can we see some sort of a house tour where you show your old projects and like, reminisce about them? I think that’d be super awesome!
Haha thank you 🙃 You know you’re not the first person to ask me to do a studio tour so maybe I’ll do that after Boba…I could use a break from making such difficult projects lol. To be honest I give A LOT of my stuff away. The only thing I’ve ever purposely destroyed is my cardboard merman but I have a handful of broken things that I’d love to rebuild and repurpose someday. Also I have big plans to totally revamp my crafting space later this year so it could be fun to document it before I change it 🤔
@@RaqrexArt I think viewers would love to see it..a few before shots like, “This is where I work” and then BAM it’s totally redone and looking amazing! Let us know you better and see what you see :) Hopefully we can see that in the not so distant future! Thank Raquel
Ooo... pay respect to that lovely dead bird by filming deterioration, or rather stitching together daily images into a film. Then preserve skeleton within work of art! Ok, maybe that suggestion is a little late (no pun intended), but I've intended to do that twice now but local cats or possums or something snatched the birds corpses too quick (not to say I'm kinda slow or anything, or admit anyway). Anyway, keep being you! 😎
Oh wow, this video was a real roller coaster. 😬 You got real DBE. Dead bird energy. And can you really call a project cursed when you come up with the most tedious possible method of construction? 🤣 =p Can't wait to see part 2, however it turns out. And I'm digging the braids!
Hahaha Dead Bird Energy… ☠️🐦⚡️! And you know what Jessy…you’re right, I kind of cursed myself lol but I think it still all might be worth it in the long run! Also yay I love braids too but I am terrible at them - I need to learn how to do super complicated braids so I can feel like a warrior princess or something cool 😎
Another safety point. Tuck your braids into the back of your shirt, or pin them up or to each other. Dremels love to grab hair & it wraps around the spindle ! Dangerous & a pain to clean up. Back to the video !
Would white glue be cheaper then ModgePodge ? I know I bought a gallon of Elmer's at one of the box stores & still have lots ! Best thing is even if it is old, you can normally just add some water & it is fine.
I thought about using Elmer’s glue instead but I think it has a higher water content and LET ME TELL YOU cardboard gets soggy! Haha I didn’t mention it in the video but part of why it took so long is I gave it time to try between every few layers to avoid moisture getting trapped. And thanks for the braid tip! I braided my hair to keep it out of the way but then the second day I decided to put it all the way up for safety. Dremel + hair = not fun 🤣
I thought about switching mid way through but didn't want certain parts to look different than others. But yes if I do a similar project again someday I can probably get away with a cheaper glue option 👽
Think you went a bit overboard with Dremel safety, sure if you drop it, it really hurts but it's not an angle grinder, you aren't gunna get degloved (gorey google) Eye protection and mask is great tho 😍👍
Haha I certainly did but I have seen so many YTers do risky things with all types of tools. Just trying to be a good example for all those crafty kids out there 😉
