Hi great vids and channel. Question, im doing lot of tiny tatts (1 i 3 RL), scripts and polymesian/viking tattoos and now Im searching for new machine Filght Nano is still in the lead but Im also looking for FK Xion or Axys Valhalla :/ can you help with advice
First of all, thank you so much for your amazing reviews! I really like your honesty. It helped me a lot. I have one question though, I have always used coils but its getting to heavy for my hands because I am doing really fine lines and dot work for hours and hours. So I decided, my next machine will be a pen. What machine do you recommend for my style? I'm not sure yet... Bishop Fantom, Inkjecta Elite Nano or even something else? It hard do decided...
Mona Sax thanks I’m glad they’re helpful! First off both are great machines but neither is a pen style so you’d also need to purchase a grip or use disposables. If you’re doing mainly linework and dots I’d say go with the Inkjecta, you’ll have more adjustability with it that helps the transition between coils and rotary. If you want an actual pen I’d recommend the Cheyenne Sol Nova or the Hawkpen, both are fantastic machines and well suited to linework and basically everything else in my opinion.

First things first, thanks to you I got the Inkjecta Nano and ditched my Xion because the hit was to spongy. Now, I've fallen in love with the Nano very fast, using a rigid bar and a 3.5mm stroke, lining small stuff (3rl + 5rl and whipshaded dots for texture). The problem that occured is that after some use (lets say 1 hour) with the same cartridge (using Kwadrons) the inkflow is starting to get worse and worse, disrupting the lining process visibly and I notice some Ink residue thats drying up in the cartridge while I'm tattoing and I think that causes the issue. great job on the videos. I'm planning to buy a new machine. I'm looking into the inkjecta nano or the bishop phantom. if price isn't the concern which would you recommend. I like to do more small detail tattoos. thank you for the videos
Mike Jacobo thanks if you need something versatile definitely go with the inkjecta, the bishop is a little more geared towards black and grey, both machines are great at smaller detailed work. The inkjecta May take a bit longer to dial in in terms of finding the way you like it set up but in the end I feel like it’s worth it. Hope that helps
Hi, I had a look at your work which look top notch. I have a couple of questions. What machine would you recommend for color realism - layering if you were to use only one? a) is Inkjecta Nano Elite a good choice? b) also what crank/stroke you’re using with your Inkjecta - is it a standard 3.2 mm? c) do you have any experience working with Cheyenne Spirit and is 2.5 mm stroke enough for color realism? They now have MkII version of Spirit but it doesn’t seem like any big step forward from the previous version. d) what about vibrations these machine produce - Inkjecta and Spirit? e) Are Bishops either Fantom or Microangelo a good alternatives to Inkjecta (for color realism). A few questions to answer :), but if you find spare moment I’d appreciate your feedback greatly. Thanks.
Łukasz D.P.G.Channel hey thanks! Ok so if I could only pick one it would be either a hawk pen or the sol nova, while it’s true that there hasn’t been much progress in terms of Cheyennes technology in the last 5 years I think the machines they produce are still far superior to anything else out there. Nothing’s perfect but they’re close. As far as stroke length that’s a very personal choice, I prefer 3.2-3.5mm but stroke length doesn’t necessarily dictate how well you can do a certain style with a particular machine. Hope that helps!
@@anthonyjenkins3335 Thanks. But what makes Hawk Pen such a go for it machine? As far as its construction concerned it’s just Cheyenne pen grip with a motor - pretty much as Xion which is basically an Ergo Grip with a motor placed on top. Is it a 3.5 mm stroke, overall balance or is it more powerful motor making it such a good machine? For the same money you can get duo of Spirit and Thunder (using disposable grips) - so you get variable stroke 2.5mm and 4mm, and then you use two motors not one all the time, hence machines should last longer.
C 33 both great machines. I would say nano for you. You can layer easily without much irritation. Very powerful yet it’s soft and smooth. Perfect for realism shading.
Hey! Im super torn on the Titan, Xion and Hawk. Ive heard a lot about the hawk breaking after a year of use so it puts me off a bit. Overall, even with the noise and having to oil the bar, you think its better than the xion? Also, I should mention, my style is traditional, focusing mostly on blackwork. (if that makes a difference.) At the moment, I'm using Soba Workhorse Power Liner which is probably one of the best coil's ive used (personally speaking) but I'm thinking of switching to rotary based on the ease, weight, etc. Thanks for your input!
Hey so that’s a tough one! The hawkpen is the superior machine for sure of those 3 with the Inkjecta coming a close second. The Inkjecta has dozens of setup options and potentially could be a tough trial and error for you transitioning straight from coils but it does have the capability of more speed and a closer feel to a coil of you take the time to set it up the way you want. The hawkpen is better all around with no adjustments and I wouldn’t be too concerned with it breaking after a year, you have to think if you can put 1000 hours worth of tattoos on a machine before you need to have it repaired or replaced it’s definitely payed for itself, you couldn’t do the same with a coil without rebuilding it. I’d completely avoid the xion, it’s useful for realism but has a spongey hit compared to the other two and is much slower so not the best fit for traditional work as well as having serious reliability issues, just because all the guys who got that machine for free because they’re on the fk pro team say it’s great doesn’t make it so unfortunately. Hope that helps
In what position do you set up the RPG click grip? I cant really figure out if pushing it to the top, middle or far down? Im thinking if there is a ”scientific” way depending on the CAM size, cartridge needles, etc etc.. Really appreciate your videos and response, keep up the good work.
Anonym1312 hey thanks! so I typically place the top of the tube flush with the top of the tube vice for the titan, that works with both types of cartridges I use, changing cam size would effect that slightly but that’s where I’ve found that works best for me all things considered
What rotary would you suggest that is best for lining? I do a more neo traditional style and have a really fast hand and need a rotary that can keep up.
JaV P if you want something really fast go with an Inkjecta, it’s got the most range and runs strong at all speeds, the hawkpen and sol nova are also really quick if you want to try out a pen style rotary
MsScottNathan I prefer this one based on balance and feel, it’s closer to a pen which I prefer. Bishop is also releasing the Wand soon that one promises to be a really nice machine
p there are many disposable options available through different companies, if you’re using membraned or good quality cartridges there’s no need to sterilize the bar
Thanks for the review mate, very good, really clear and informative and well presented. I know your busy, but if you have time to answer a question for me . I would really appreciate your thoughts. I'm using coils for a good few years. Always liked to run fast and hit hard. But now I'm tired of the constant messing around with them. Tried a few rotarys, and found them too slow and not hard hitting enough for me. But I still hoping there is one out there for me. One that hits more like a coil, also I prefer a large heavy grip. l'm really a fan of the more traditional style tattoos, rock solid lines . I'm now stuck between getting the bishop phanton and the inkjecta. Could one of these be the answer I'm looking for ? Thanks , and thanks for the reviews
jason kelly glad it helped man thanks for checking it out. Ok so for sure for what you’re looking for the inkjecta is the better choice of the two, there are so many setup options you’ll absolutely be able to find a sweet spot with it if you put the time in. Besides that it’s fast, like insanely fast so you’ll never need to run it to it’s full potential and you’ll still get the speed of a fast coil, it also hits snappy and crisp so it feels similar to a good fast coil and can be turned down to hit like a smooth shader. Overall great transition machine. My other choice would be the sol nova, all the speed, solid crisp hit and similar feel to a fast coil when lining so it might be a good option for your style as well, I can easily line up to a loose 18rd (and beyond) and it’s one of the only rotaries I’ve ever used that can lay down a really good peppery whipshade, also comes with the 1 1/4” grip that you may like so maybe something to think of. Hope that helps man, thanks again for watching!
@@anthonyjenkins3335 hey hey, that's brilliant. I will check that out. And buy soon. Maybe both. Ha. Thanks alot for your time and advice. It may only take a moment but its positive outlay could last years. Best of luck with your own art , thanks again. Rock on
F Tattoo hey! The inkjecta is a solid choice because there are so many ways to set it up it’s almost guaranteed you’ll find a set up that works for you. That said, I’ve lined up to a loose 18rd with the inkjecta and packed colour with a 23 mag and it’s solid as it gets so for traditional or neo trad it’s really good. Hope that helps!
Is a machine with give worth paying for? I'm split between this and the bishop fantom but leaning towards the inkjecta because of the adjustable give setting.
mrchristian87 hey, a machine with give is worth paying for depending on the machine, the Inkjecta is a perfect example, it has the option for give if you want but also can be set out completely rigid, I really like the bishop but the Inkjecta is the superior machine, as long as you’re willing to maybe try out a configuration or 2 to dial it in exactly the way you want.
Right! what machine do you like most for shading im so used to coil machines they just never fails me but i would like to find a machine that is lighter and bit better on my right ear lol
This one is the only one I’m using at the moment but it’d be a solid transition machine from coils I think, especially if you’re already used to carts, you’ll get all the speed and different options for give to set it up to have a similar hit and force to a coil
Salsa Torres hawkpen is definitely much quieter and pens in general have a more direct feeling hit to me, although the Inkjecta does feel similar in that way to a pen style rotary, both have a very solid hit
Christopher Rushing they give you the option to run with an elastic it’s not necessarily recommended though, I found for me it slowed the machine down and made it feel less crisp so I’d prefer to just live with a little extra noise in favour of performance. Realistically compared to a coil machine it’s still very quiet
Hi bro thanku for the work u do...hey i just got my titan but not the led light wont go i used it for bout 2 hours out of the box 2day...but noted no led light...
jamie addison the LED shows proper polarity and power supply function as far as I remember, if you’re using a poorer quality power supply or RCA you may not get the light, or you may have just gotten one with a defective LED, it doesn’t effect functionality if you did but if your power isn’t good quality I’d consider upgrading
@@anthonyjenkins3335 thanks heaps mate really awesome. I run a critical supply i saw or felt no obvious flaw whilst running machine just thought it was bit weird that ugly led light wasint working i wonder if i just cintinue with it or get replacement if it doesn't affect machine im happy $1150 new zealand dollars is so dare so thought id check it out.
Hi...i want to know if you consider better inkjecta or bishop fantom. I have inkjecta and I find it great but also I want to try the bishop fantom.Do you think is a good choice to make this change or not?
amar ink hey, I really like both machines but I gotta say, the Inkjecta is the better of the 2. It has more options for setup, it’s more versatile in terms of what styles you can do with it, I find the Bishop excels with black and grey but is missing something when it comes to colour. The Inkjecta doesn’t have the same shortcomings it’s solid all the way around. If you’re happy with the Inkjecta I’d say stay with it, it’s a superior piece of equipment
I have another question about fantom...my intention is that to use it more for the black and grey and you said that is very good for that.the fact that is not so great for colour packing is not a big problem for me because I have a dragonfly x2 for that.i have a proton Mx too...and I ask you if is so big difference between the last one and the fantom? Thanks a lot for your patience
jorgeaservin rotary motors don’t last 10, 20 plus years of hard daily use so it’s irrelevant how the frame will hold up anyway but yes carbon fibre is stronger than steel and properly made cf will absolutely hold up
what you said makes perfect sense, for me its hard not to compare it with coil frames, as long as those frames are ok you can always change what ever is necessary, may be im wrong but it looks like rotary machines are treated like disposables after some time
jorgeaservin depending on the machine you can buy replacement motors or send it in. It is obivously more expensive then replacing parts on a coil but it also saves so much time with crtrdges. We all know time is money so it evens out in my opinion. But they are not meant to be thrown away. Motors just die after some time and can be replaced usually.
jorgeaservin oh man that’s tough!! If I could only have one machine for the rest of my career at this point it would be the hawkpen, just because I’ve used one for so many years that I know it better than any other machine, there’s something to be said for predictability in a set up I think.
freedom fighter yea for sure, it’s a great machine for slow hands but for those of us that need speed it doesn’t make the cut. regardless of what the many fk sponsored artists have to say the xion falls short in many ways. Can’t always believe the hype I guess
aley moreno thanks so much man! I have lined with it, if you check out my Instagram there’s a huge ship I did recently with tons of linework, tight 3 up to a loose 11rd and it preformed perfectly, really couldn’t be happier with this machine at the moment!!
One more thing please, I know you are using critical supply with the inkjecta but what brand foot pedal are you sing with it? My old ones seems to not be efficient enough
It's TattooIEG I’m currently using the corded foot switch from critical as well and I’ve been really happy with it, reasonably priced and I like being able to swap out the cord if it wears out. I also like the “premier” foot switch from Eikon device, it had a dedicated cord and you have to take apart the foot switch to replace it if needed but it’s really well made and lasts forever
Okay thnq for your reply, appreciate it though I lot of good artists matter of facts the best ones like Dmitry samohin , den yakolev , sivak use it , so it seemed like for black and grey realism it's a great one
Sahil Arora for me it’s not a usable machine and not one that I would consider a real contender up against products from fk irons or Cheyenne. Remember, being sponsored by a company doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re using the machine daily it just means they get handouts from the company to claim they do.
That's what I doubted aswell yeah , one last question though , if you had to strictly choose between Cheyenne thunder and hawk pen what would you rather use as your day to day machine
Christopher Rushing I think in terms of speed and adjustability it’s the closest you can get to matching the feel of a coil, especially if you’re already comfortable using cartridges

I do a lot of small works.. names etc.. a lot of black filled work.. but trying to start doing more and more black and grey.. im not a profesional artist but im on my way.. 🙏🏼
Thanks..
and keep doing you good reviews.. straight to the point..
this is great for ur style also
one of the best head to head with coil
great job on the videos.
Do you run yours with a rubber band?
My purpose is B&G or color photo realism, for my purpose, Sol nova vs flite nano, which one is better??
Requiem Tattoo did you try the swashdrive brush? I really would love a review as i heard its really powerful for a pen.
Yeah I second the xion as a miss I’ve had mine since August and it’s already gotta go back for repair I’m leaning more towards the inkjecta myself
Can u review the Axys Valhalla pen?
Do you use the same bar for shading and lining? I've had a lot of people say they like the V2 rigid bar vs the flite bars.
Christopher Rushing rigid bar is where it’s at for me I’m completely comfortable doing everything with it.
which tattoo machine would you recommend more? the Bishop MicroAngelo v2 or this one?
MsScottNathan I prefer this one based on balance and feel, it’s closer to a pen which I prefer. Bishop is also releasing the Wand soon that one promises to be a really nice machine
So do you have to sterilize the bar every time? Is there a disposable option to run disposable cartridges and tubes
p there are many disposable options available through different companies, if you’re using membraned or good quality cartridges there’s no need to sterilize the bar
I have a machine of these, (inkjecta flite nano titan) for line I am using it in 14 volts, if it is good speed to make line?
Heack Epk I don’t discuss any technique related stuff, every one will prefer a different speed, you’ll have to find what works best for you.
OK thank you very much
I'm considering this or the lace nano
Rock on
Hey! Thanks for review! Would you suggest inkjekta for traditional tattoos? Or is there any other machine that would work better for trad/neo trad?
F Tattoo hey! The inkjecta is a solid choice because there are so many ways to set it up it’s almost guaranteed you’ll find a set up that works for you. That said, I’ve lined up to a loose 18rd with the inkjecta and packed colour with a 23 mag and it’s solid as it gets so for traditional or neo trad it’s really good. Hope that helps!
Intrepid Tattoo yes it helped! Thank u so much
Is a machine with give worth paying for? I'm split between this and the bishop fantom but leaning towards the inkjecta because of the adjustable give setting.
mrchristian87 hey, a machine with give is worth paying for depending on the machine, the Inkjecta is a perfect example, it has the option for give if you want but also can be set out completely rigid, I really like the bishop but the Inkjecta is the superior machine, as long as you’re willing to maybe try out a configuration or 2 to dial it in exactly the way you want.
@@anthonyjenkins3335 Awesome, thanks for the input.
Right! what machine do you like most for shading im so used to coil machines they just never fails me but i would like to find a machine that is lighter and bit better on my right ear lol
This one is the only one I’m using at the moment but it’d be a solid transition machine from coils I think, especially if you’re already used to carts, you’ll get all the speed and different options for give to set it up to have a similar hit and force to a coil
Requiem Tattoo gotcha thanks bud
What’s the size of motor shaft Diameter
Witch one is the most quiet between the hawk pen and inkjecta. Do they both have the same hit ?
Salsa Torres hawkpen is definitely much quieter and pens in general have a more direct feeling hit to me, although the Inkjecta does feel similar in that way to a pen style rotary, both have a very solid hit
You are supposed to use a rubber band around the torsion bar. That normally cuts down on the noise a bit.
Christopher Rushing they give you the option to run with an elastic it’s not necessarily recommended though, I found for me it slowed the machine down and made it feel less crisp so I’d prefer to just live with a little extra noise in favour of performance. Realistically compared to a coil machine it’s still very quiet
can you tell me the difference between this and the flite nano elite? is the elite also such a good liner?
polter geist I believe it’s just a weight thing, the nano is lighter/slightly smaller but has the same functionality
Does the color of the light matter?
goat what do you mean?
I have this and the bishop fantom I love both but the tension bar took me a minute to figure out my taste in in tension bar
Hi man wich is better for liner fantom or inyecta? Hablas español?
@@anthonyjenkins3335 thanks a lot for your fast answer...I really appreciate it.i think that I'll keep my inkjecta
Good video bro.
👍
do you think a carbon fiber frame will be reliable 10, 20 plus years later vs metal frames?
jorgeaservin rotary motors don’t last 10, 20 plus years of hard daily use so it’s irrelevant how the frame will hold up anyway but yes carbon fibre is stronger than steel and properly made cf will absolutely hold up
what you said makes perfect sense, for me its hard not to compare it with coil frames, as long as those frames are ok you can always change what ever is necessary, may be im wrong but it looks like rotary machines are treated like disposables after some time
jorgeaservin depending on the machine you can buy replacement motors or send it in. It is obivously more expensive then replacing parts on a coil but it also saves so much time with crtrdges. We all know time is money so it evens out in my opinion. But they are not meant to be thrown away. Motors just die after some time and can be replaced usually.
between the Bishop Fantom and this Inkjecta Flite Nano Titan which one you like better and why?
jorgeaservin I’d just check out both videos, I’ve given a good rundown on both machines and what I like about each
thank you for your quick response, if you had to sell all your rotary machines except for one, which machine would you keep?
jorgeaservin oh man that’s tough!! If I could only have one machine for the rest of my career at this point it would be the hawkpen, just because I’ve used one for so many years that I know it better than any other machine, there’s something to be said for predictability in a set up I think.
wait for the wand! bishop just got crazier!.
Ive been using my and it seems slow even at like 10 volts
freedom fighter yea for sure, it’s a great machine for slow hands but for those of us that need speed it doesn’t make the cut. regardless of what the many fk sponsored artists have to say the xion falls short in many ways. Can’t always believe the hype I guess
@@anthonyjenkins3335 it seems like he was talkimg about thw injekta. He never mentioned the xion. Why are you talking about the xion? Lol
polter geist just a mistake, I try to answer every question that comes through there must have been one on my xion review at the same time as this one
Which machine you recommend more xion or inkjecta?
Lujoacell De Muchacho Inkjecta without question, especially if you prefer a slightly faster machine like me
Requiem Tattoo thanks so much your videos are amazing 👌🏻
What would you say your absolute favourite machine is?
Todd Quesnelle Cheyenne Hawkpen closely followed by the Inkjecta Flite Nano Titan
Requiem Tattoo thank you, I currently have the thunder and am in the market for a pen. Love your reviews, can’t wait to see one on the SolNova
Todd Quesnelle thanks man I’m definitely looking forward to that one!
Another amazing and honest review brother. I really do listen to what you say.
Have you lined with it? How’s it for lining ?
aley moreno thanks so much man! I have lined with it, if you check out my Instagram there’s a huge ship I did recently with tons of linework, tight 3 up to a loose 11rd and it preformed perfectly, really couldn’t be happier with this machine at the moment!!
Requiem Tattoo amazing man. Are you using the semi rigid bar?
aley moreno yep that’s what works best for me on it.
Awesome, and are you using the 3.25 cam that comes with it or 3.5 or 4mm ?
aley moreno I’m just using the 3.25 it comes with and really happy with that!
What brand of straight rca cable are you using, I find that inkjectas right angle cord is too senstive
It's TattooIEG I completely agree, I really like the rca cord from bishop rotary, I think it’s the best ive used.
@@anthonyjenkins3335 ok thankyou sir
One more thing please, I know you are using critical supply with the inkjecta but what brand foot pedal are you sing with it? My old ones seems to not be efficient enough
It's TattooIEG I’m currently using the corded foot switch from critical as well and I’ve been really happy with it, reasonably priced and I like being able to swap out the cord if it wears out. I also like the “premier” foot switch from Eikon device, it had a dedicated cord and you have to take apart the foot switch to replace it if needed but it’s really well made and lasts forever
@@anthonyjenkins3335 you the man
Inkmachines Dragonfly plz
Sahil Arora too slow, poor hit, cheaply made. Not a machine that I’ve ever been able to complete a tattoo with so I can’t properly review it.
Sahil Arora definitely the hawk pen!
Sorry bro one more question. How does it compete with coil machines.
Christopher Rushing I think in terms of speed and adjustability it’s the closest you can get to matching the feel of a coil, especially if you’re already comfortable using cartridges
its like a pencil! =) draw as much as you like!
Hi, i Would like to know which machine do you preffer most, between cheyenne pen and xion. Have you heard about New sol nova from cheyenne? I think is the same as cheyenne pen only smaller. Thanks bro
This guy has a problem with any tattoo Maschines
u say wright me and u answer... u dont clown!
What voltage do you use on your xion for shading
freedom fighter I’m well out of the recommended running range to get a Xion even close to a comfortable speed for me, usually between 12.5 and 13
This or fanton? Subbed
Alice's Husband This 💯
Жака Левши, делает по желанию настройки
Hey there! The inkjecta nano elite, would you recommend it as well? Do you know how far it's one model from another?
Danielle Machado yea I would! Also a great machine, it’s a bit heavier but same function
Requiem Tattoo it's the only one i can find here and I heard a guy but only used it once, Id like to work line and shading with it, thank you!!
