Lyrics:
Woke up this mornin'
Closed in on both sides
Nothin' doin'
I feel resistance
As I open my eyes
Someone's foolin'
I found a way to break through this cellophane bag
'Cause I know what's goin' on
In your mind
I'm a livin' in a box
I'm a livin' in a cardboard box
I'm a livin' in a box
I'm a livin' in a cardboard box
I'm a livin' in a box
Life goes in circles
Around and around
Circulating
I sometimes wonder
What's movin' underground
I'm escaping
I found a way to break through this cellophane bag
'Cause I know what's goin' on
In my mind
I'm a livin' in a box
I'm a livin' in a cardboard box
I'm a livin' in a box
I'm a livin' in a cardboard box
I'm a livin' in a box
Livin'
Ahh ha
I found a way to break through this cellophane bag
'Cause I know what's goin' on
In your mind
I'm a livin' in a box
I'm a livin' in a cardboard box
I'm a livin' in a box
I'm a livin' in a cardboard box
I'm a livin' in a box
I'm a livin' in a cardboard box
I'm a livin' in a box
I'm a livin' in a cardboard box
I'm a livin' in a box
I'm a livin' in a cardboard box
I'm a livin' in a box
I'm a livin' in a cardboard box
I'm a livin' I'm a livin'....I'm a livin'
I'm a livin', I'm a livin'....I'm a livin'
I'm a livin' in a box
I'm a livin' in a box...

Living in a Box changed my life! I was living in a sphere. I lacked the drive to upgrade my life. I was a lazy SOB. Then I found this music! It inspired me; now I am living in a Box! Thank you. Thank you. You reshaped me. You straightened my life out.

Rockstar Games never fails to impress both visually, gameplay and music.
This song was also in the movie Can’t Buy Me Love (1987)
True. Rockstar games are the greatest music curators in gaming.

Its like Go West and Rick Astley combined! Great song!
This is my first thought, because it sounds like Rick Astley.
OMG YES!!!!!
WELL DONE!
So different from the original James Brown version, but totally rocks!!!
Always used to think this was Go West
This song is such a banger, could hardly cope with how amazing the experience of listening to this song, I am nearly in tears.
I couldnt believe it when as a child (6 yrs old in 1980) I kept hearing new music come on the radio and would love every one of them. I was amazed by the complexity, character and uniqueness of each style. I would have a visceral emotional response to every track, they became like friends, and they would strum my heart strings and I felt emotionally soothed and understood, like reassuring confirmation that other people out there are also feeling deeply and it is good to be sensitive and emotionally expressive, something that was otherwise missing from my childhood.
... sure
My mom hates this tune…I’m a 90s kid and I luv it!
I heard this song in GTA 5, men I was really impressed I just had to check it out, I was born in the late 90s but this music was really cool 🔥🔥🔥 and up to this day 2021 the song still has good vibes 🔥🔥

2022 and still rocking this, of course. Great song! I wish modern pop would sound more like this, at least a bit. Damn 80's really got the best music, especially when it comes to pop, rock and soul/r&nb.

This song is so good!!! I was born the year this song came out. I wish I had grown up in the 80s instead of the 90s sometimes because the 80s seemed like such a great time to be alive!
One of the great songs of the 80s
Wow! I haven't thought of this track in years! What a trip down memory lane. I'm 53 years old and this song was part of my youth. I know this will sound like a cliche but the songs and sounds from the eighties were some of the best in the world...
I've constructed a playlist of around 500 songs of that genre that you might want to check out: it's a good time. 😎
@mr p Don't tell anyone, but now I'm collecting all good music from Japan (the country). I've got some 3,700 songs so far; in 2 years it's gonna be in some kinda shape.
@mr p It turns out that the '80s happened in Japan too and it's their best decade of music as well.
A lot of stuff from the 80s holds up better than modern stuff, but the much wider availability of music production tools in the modern era is great too, because anyone can break through and that's awesome. See Lil Nas X.
Totally true and seem even better when you just hear an old hit in an advert. Oh Lamore in the new Renault ad is driving me insane in a good way!!
Freaking fantastic! Was surprised that Richard Derbyshire didn't go on to greater things as a solo artist with that awesome voice.

This was pretty standard fare back in that decade. You might be interested to know that there are artists today who make music like this, in a genre called Retrowave. The best YT channel for this is "The '80s Guy". I just finished rolling his entire site; it's okay for background music, but I have a feeling that Nudisco and Future Funk are superior genres.

Being a 80s baby myself, I never forgot this song, it is one of my favorite ones. I do miss the 80s
You only.miss the 80s bcuz you were a child then my parents hated the 80s...shitty cars and issues we couldn't truly see without social media
@@chrislovato1336 actually it is more then that, shows had messages and meanings, songs were real songs and not mumble rapping bullshit, the prices and the things we came up with as youngins, so because of you may have experienced shifty things don't mean I have, of course drugs was and still is a menace but we also had better programs and more ways to get help then we do now, that is why I miss the 80s, so don't tell me why you think I missed the 80s because we don't know each other at all, hope that makes your assumption look like trash
@GuidedLion I don't have to know you at all the only time someone misses a decade its bcuz there childhood and even high school years were part of a that time and we all want to be young again so we tend to gravitate towards our adolescence or childhood bcuz we were free of responsibility and could live our lives carefree...just love whatever life you have now living in the past is sadness unless you figure out time travel
@@chrislovato1336 to be honest, for you living in the past is sadness, and that is how your life is then that's you, see I miss things because of how the world is, not because of something you said, and for your sarcasm, in which you failed at, here is what I will say to you, the past is fond memories and lessons to pass on to the newer generation of they will listen and some will, so I am gonna do what ever the hell I want because I control my life not you, you just wanted to troll someone, because your bored, I get it.
